You can believe you know. I don't care.
But the house analogy doesn't work because you have actually seen a house burn, or film of it. You have personal experience of seeing that.
Can you say that of god? Seen him?
Of course not. Scripture says you can't. Even Moses could only see his back.
    False equivalence.
    Do you understand that?

I will repeat it.. Ask him if he doubts the existence of God.

    Are you certifiably insane?
    Where did I say that?

I see God's work. Who or what could account for creation but the creator?
    Do you understand that?

But you have actually seen houses burn.
I think you understand now, even though you are saving face.

reasoned it out seems an unusual way to explain an emotive response. you're essentially responding to "I cant imagine anything else', and an old book. these are emotional responses. we dont allow ourselves that luxury.

No-one stated that you said that... I am wanting you to ask him directly if he doubts Gods existence. Never mind.. I will ask him.

Hey Yosh Shmenge: Do you doubt the existence of God?

I've explained myself quite sufficiently now.
You are the one trying to save face by urging me to agree to something that I've shown is not so. Grow up and admit defeat with grace.

He has admitted defeat before and then turned around and denied that fact.

    Are you serious?
You really can't understand the difference?
    Ok.

I'll tell you what I told your tag team partner: Only the creator can be responsible for creation. My response is rational and if I'm wrong no one has been able to show me how.
    Certainly not you.

You offer a difference without a distinction. Move on.

creation is a mythologist word for stuff., deployed for the sole purpose of forcing the other half of the equation into the picture. remembering here that binary thinking restricts mental jitterbugging to a two step. stuff is both ordinary and marvellous and all points in between. you're selling it all very short - and missing huge chunks of wonder .

Not trying to change your beliefs, Yosh.
You are being irrational now. If you apply the same logic skills to your beliefs you may be mistaken.
If you entertain the idea "...if I am wrong..." Then you have confirmed you don't know.

Then show him how he is wrong. Don't just say he has confirmed he don't know, show 'proof' that he don't know.

I'll try to help you one more time. I'm not your enemy.
If you had only seen charred remains but had never seen a fire, that would be like seeing the "works" of god but never having seen god. But you HAVE seen fire, so you have direct knowledge of what caused the charred remains. You KNOW.
Don't get angry about making a bad analogy. Everyone does it.
    It doesn't affect your faith.
    Peace.

Ahhh. Another example of avoidance... nice going brucebeat. I didn't think that you would be able to show any proof that he don't know.

Yes, just like you chose not to post the name of a street I have not driven on, which was equally unsurprising.

Much of the big bang is outside our realm of knowledge too. Why does god get special treatment?

Didn't you already say several times that you think god is uncaused?

Now you are sounding more reasonable. I still disagree, obviously, but since you've stopped bandying around what MUST be the case, and instead only THINK (or 'posit') that you know the answer, I'm fine with that.

You just can't stop bringing this up. It's really starting to look like harassment. If I were bruce I'd report you tbh. Disgraceful behaviour, whether you're Christian or not.

Why do you think it has to be a "who" that created the stars? And you do know that just throwing out answers (GODDDIDIT) doesn't make that answer correct or "more likely". Thebrucebeat already pointed out that your argument is fallacious, it's an argument from a lack of imagination. Here's my answer: gravity and fusion.
