Atheists demand more than hearsay, just as courts of law do.

    No, my lack of faith.

Precision. If I am an atheist, then I do not believe in any version of god. If you can name a single god that is not described by religion, you will have taught me something.

Huh? there is only one type of evidence that is categorical and that is empirical evidence. Try not to engage in obvious logical fallacies.

Not part of mankind. If that's the way you roll, fine with me.

    Take your pick

I did. but for the etymologically challenged it is the extent to which something has attributes of the supernatural.

    not a very good point.

I always envision it as a big fat flying burrito.

If you do not see christian logic, your unconscious use of it cretainly seems to imply that faith is indeed blind.

Yes the inventor of the wheel was almost completely ignorant of what we consider basic knowledge today. And by the way, I don't beleive in a soul, so I shan't be pitying the inventor, rather I would celebrate him if we knew who he was.

You are not very good at identifying the literary use of pronouns. Guess english wasn't one of your best classes.

I see you have not studied logic as a formal discipline. Are you suggesting you do not apply first order predicate calculus to program development?

I certainly agree that you should invest in a dictionary before you put your foot in your mouth. The arrogance of your ignorance or is it the ignorance of your arrogance is certainly amusing.

Perhaps the Atheists you speak of should review their list of demands and make accommodations for hearsay evidence.

"This is the first test support the old herbalists hearsay evidence is conclusive evidence: that is the active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin, has the performance of anti-arthritis. "

ok you guys are still confusing Atheists and agnostics. Clearly katarn stated if god showed up and made himself know katarn would then accept God. That is not an Atheist. Whats wrong with requiring a little evidence to believe? Surely you have one teeny tiny little shred of proof other than blind faith in something other men wrote down on paper and told you God instructed them to write down. I dont think its asking too much for a little proof first.

It's easy enough to see. They weasel their way out of the proof thing and create straw men in order to turn the debate back on Atheists.... They ask us for proof there is no Sky Daddy yet they have no proof there is one. It's a no win situation for both sides of the debate.

Actually, I believe 99.99 % of what I post. The remaining .01% is when I inject a tad of humor. How about you? Do you actually believe in half of what you post?

Well, most of them pride themselves in seeking the 'truth' so if one is unwilling to hear all the available information, then it would show that they are not seeking the truth, but instead are engaging in a wild rampage of hiding the truth via argumentation which proves nothing.

first of all you used the word 'information'. telling clean folk about your loving personal supernatural overlord is not giving 'information'. information would be an academic, clinical, objective description of your mythology. as for 'not seeking the truth', I would impolitely suggest that that remains the purview of religionists. most atheists arrive where they are precisely because they have worked harder than you at seeking the truth.

Worked harder than me at seeking the truth?

Then why did you submit your own private version of what 'information' as opposed to doing this:

    "in·for·ma·tion (nfr-mshn)
    n.
    1. Knowledge derived from study, experience, or instruction.
    2. Knowledge of specific events or situations that has been gathered or received by communication; intelligence or news. See Synonyms at knowledge.
    3. A collection of facts or data: statistical information.
    4. The act of informing or the condition of being informed; communication of knowledge: Safety instructions are provided for the information of our passengers.
    5. Computer Science Processed, stored, or transmitted data.
    6. A numerical measure of the uncertainty of an experimental outcome.
    7. Law A formal accusation of a crime made by a public officer rather than by grand jury indictment."

Seemingly, you have worked harder than most folk at obscuring the truth.

"God" is a creation of the human mind to explain the unknown and to try and give meaning to their existence. Each mind assigns properties to their conceptualization of "God" but since each mind is unique every conceptualization of "God" exists only within the individual mind.

The nature of your challenge is illogical. You demand to know the properties of something without first providing evidence of your own existence much less "Gods".

You think you exist yet the proof of that existence exists only within your mind. just like "God."

nope. it's as it stands. your delusions are NOT information. any more than the voices in my head telling me to clean the guns before the fairies steal all the potatos is not a piece of 'information' that would be useful to anyone (in any situation requiring facts) other than a psychiatrist.

The way I see it is like this: If you are so adamant in your desire to ignore the true meaning of the word "information" and form your own private definitions of terms, then you probably should go see that psychiatrist that you spoke about.

So you are claiming to be a practicing Psychiatrist? Great ! What state do you practice in and what is your license number? Seeing that you desire to make this public information, then I have a legal right to know your credentials.

So you're implying that you don't believe I exist, and that you're conversing with a figment of your own imagination?

HAHAHAHA, you atheists are a JOKE! Unfortunately nobody is laughing.

You know, if there's one thing I've noticed in this thread, it's the hostility of those on your side of the argument. It's a very angry, very hostile attitude. It's hatred. So much for religion making you a moral person, huh?

From my observations, immoral people tend to use religion to claim morality. Those who are truly moral don't need to wear it like a badge.

In your mind, did my post exist until you read it?

Did your response exist till I read it?

If I had not read your post, would I have still responded?

You cannot demonstrate your reality unless I choose to accept you as real. If I choose to accept you as real, there is nothing you can do to deny the reality I have chosen to accept because it is my reality.

When you read this post are you reading my words or are you reading what you think a creation of your mind has written?

Is your "HAHAHAHA" your response to my post or is it me challenging my own "reality?"

Perhaps some deeper thought and reflection on your part is needed.
