You need to listen to Fox News to actually get it!

People who say that Trump supporters are "dumb" or anything similar just don't get it. They aren't dumber than the average Joe. But they listen to Fox and their echo-chamber all day long, and nothing else.

I often listen to their radio nonsense and sometimes watch Fox to make sure I'm not missing something. It used to be that you actually did get once in a while a different perspective on some things. But now it's different. You simply step into a world separate from reality. So you get to understand why they say some of the things they do. And it's not because they're stupid. It's just... what they hear over and over. So they accept it as if it were fact.

If you decide to watch Fox (or any of their echo chamber: Breitbart, Rush, Alex Jones, WND, ...) be prepared to have things that we know are false be presented as if they were obvious facts that are taken as a "given". You'll see Tucker Carlson or Hannity saying things like "now that we know that the Russia affair was a hoax". And you sit there wondering "when did we get to know that?" You don't get it. But you have only been there for a few minutes. They, on the other hand, have had hammered into their head that the Russia intervention in our elections was a "hoax". Mounted by our intelligence agencies which, for some reason, are under the control of Hillary or Obama or Geroge Soros or, ... I don't know, but some "hated" political figure who dares refuse bow to Trump. They don't actually think it over too much or try to iron out the contradictions in their heads. They just... accept it.

So once they have convinced their audience that the Russia intervention was a hoax, it's easy to convince them that the Mueller report concluded that there was no collusion, no obstruction and Trump did nothing wrong. It's not like Trump supporters are going to actually read the Mueller report, like some of us did. So they'll believe anything that the Fox echo-chamber tells them about it.

And once they have accepted the above, it's easy for them to conclude that Stone, Flynn, Manafort,... all of the mafia that Trump surrounded himself with, and has been found guilty of criminal activity in criminal courts, are the victim of "corrupt" judges and "corrupt" juries.

So it all makes sense in their mind. But for this to work, they must not wander into real news. Therefore, they need to project into real news attributes that Fox is guilty of: being fake news.

The problem is that sensible informed people think to themselves: "This is stupid. Only stupid people would believe it". And dismiss it with a shrug. They are wrong! They do believe it. And Fox doesn't need them to all be stupid. They just need them to all be uninformed. And they have proven how easily they can accomplish keeping a large enough portion of citizens uninformed.

 

Not just uninformed, but actively disinformed.

You just have to follow this forum every day. The resident Trump fans are very good at searching the web for disinformation that reinforces their confirmation bias, for example episodes of left wing violence, which are then posted here as proof that all liberals are violent. So, yes, I agree that it is not stupidity, it is much more serious, namely active disinformation spreading, and actively working on deepening the divisions within the country.

Now, to be fair, liberals are no innocent, and can play these games too.

 

We definitively got to know that when the Mueller report came out and said that they could not find any collusion/conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. That is a fact. So yeah, it was a hoax. You don't need to watch ANY of the sites that you listed to know this. You simply had to read the Mueller report and/or listen to his testimony.

Btw, I don't watch Fox, Hannity, or Tucker. Hannity and Tucker are not considered "news" anyways. They're political commentary opinion shows. I also don't listen to Rush or Alex Jones and I don't read Breitbart or WND.

Question for you, when are you going to call out CNN, MSNBC etc etc for their own biases and false reporting? Or are you too blinded by your own biases to recognize that they are just as bad, if not worse, as Fox?

 

Even in an echo chamber I do not understand how people can watch the interviews he has had — just with fox and friends — and believe he is stable.

You obviously don't pay enough attention to Fox News. I have eliminated Hannity and Ingrahm only to watch Carlson for the pure comedy. Bret Baier, Shannon Bream, and Martha MacCallum are 10x more neutral than anything on MSNBS, AND CNN.
Give yourself a break from the pablum they feed you and give Fox a try.

 

Mueller did exonerate Trump of collusion, the same collusion the fake liberal media sold as fact for two years. Not to mention all the other 'smoking guns' the liberal media got 100% wrong. No need to even bother with all fake and utterly wrong liberal media polls. Remember when liberal media polls told us Biden or Warren would beat Trump, how's that working out?

 

Of course it can't. Because prosecutors do not exonerate. They either find proof of a law being broke, or they don't. There is no in-between. Muellers use of that term was the first time its ever been used by any prosecutor.

Spot on. I occasionally listen to Rushbo to try to come to an understanding of what lies are being pushed. Quite often I see them repeated almost immediately (within a few days) on this board.
We will continue to fail in self-governance as long as people allow themselves to be misinformed by hacks like Limbaugh.

Trump-Russia was a hoax. There was no collision. Denying that at this point is insane.

Most Fox viewers lean Republican. And who are Republicans? They’re doctors, dentists, lawyers, architects, small business owners, middle management, etc. they are the ones paying into the system, not taking money out. They’re relatively educated. They’re not 40 years old and employed at the local car wash.

Making fun of Fox viewers is like tilting at windmills. It will get you nowhere.

 

And of course we believe the same thing about that alphabet soup media echo chamber you inhabit. It is disinformation central and has been getting worse in that regard for years.if not decades. The problem is that you believe yourself to be sensible and informed when the reality is that you've bathed in the propaganda ministry of the DNC for so long that you cannot conceive of the idea that you may have been lied to all these years and especially where DJTrump is concerned. And we know from the Mueller report the campaign coordinated some of their activities around the release of the hacked material. Material Russia illegally obtained from the DNC and gave to Wikileaks.............the kind of thing Donnie J agreed to meet with Russian operatives to get..........which was illegal.

 

The opposite is true. Why do you keep saying otherwise?
