US millennial women are now more likely to die in their late 20s and early 30s than any generation since the World War II era

U.S. millennial women saw their well-being decline, a first in modern times.

Homicide, maternal mortality, and suicide rates have all increased for women aged 25 to 34.

According to a report published by the Washington DC-based non-profit Population Reference Bureau, which studied the well-being of women aged 25 to 34 from each generation of Americans.

It found that women born between 1981 and 1999 (widely classified as millennials) have seen the first drop in well-being since the Silent Generation as they live through young adulthood.

"Women today are more likely to die during their late 20s and early 30s than at any other point in the previous three generations"

Business Insider US millennial women are now more likely to die in their late 20s and early 30s than any generation since the World War II era, by Matthew Loh, Business Insider, December 11, 2023

It may be another sign of decreased standards of living in the country.

I suspect at least part of it has to do with break-down in the family structure. Young women in U.S. society are increasingly winding up along, or go through a string of very short-term relationships.

Another failure of government to care for their own? Nope… it reflects on the decline of family standards and taking care of their own, meaning taking care of family…. that has nothing to do with govt support. But… there are community organizations that can help in the lack of having family…. the thing is it’s not a pretty place to visit. I’ve been to some community out-reach institutions (working thru my employer providing a service for them) and… people there needed help. I didn’t exactly fit in… but it’s actually good to know place’s like that exist

An increased CAUSE of DEATH that can be BLAMED entirely on the Xtofascist controlled GOP/NRA gun culture that is now OUT of CONTROL thanks to CORRUPT Clarence and the SCrOTUS enabling anyone and everyone to have a gun under the Bruen decision.

You’re claiming guns are responsible? Seriously?

I might understand better with more capitalization.

Last I looked, guns still werent even in the top 10 causes of death, neither for women nor men. What are you talking about?

Sugar control would save a lot more women (and men) than gun control would.

I’m gonna need a link to follow what you’re saying. Until then all I can presume is you are doing some seriously inappropriate reading between the lines.

I did. It linked to another article that claimed 'shootings are a leading cause of death in America' which proceeded to list 'assault with firearm' as less deadly than falling. So, if you please, post the actual numbers to which you're referring, because that killed my patience for Business Insider's ridiculous hyperbole.

I read… and I see you dug deep for that. The substance of that paragraph isn’t about gun violence as a reason for the deaths

Where did I MENTION anything at all about RESTRICTING guns?

I IDENTIFIED one of the LEADING causes of DEATH for the young women in the OP as PROVIDED by the LINK.

Why do YOU have such a FOCUS on ALLOWING these gun deaths to CONTINUE?

Don't you claim to be "pro-life"?

Do the HOMICIDES of these young women mean NOTHING to those who WORSHIP at the blood soaked ALTAR of the Xtofascist controlled GOP/NRA gun culture.

Now you’re claiming guns as the leading cause?

Are you PRETENDING that it is NOT one of the THREE primary CAUSES of death for these young women cited by the article?

"...gun culture that is now OUT of CONTROL thanks to CORRUPT Clarence and the SCrOTUS enabling anyone and everyone to have a gun under the Bruen decision"

So, let me get this straight... gun culture is "out of control" because scotus is "enabling" people to 'have guns', but you're NOT talking about restricting guns.

Is that what your saying but not saying?

Cuz it sounds like you want more restrictions on guns.

Deliberate disingenuous MISCHARACTERIZATION of my content duly noted.

I STIPULATED that it was ONE of the primary causes.
