If you're going to take guns in the cause of this rather than just the means of it you're going to have to show your work. If you think depending guns will somehow make suicide stop I got some bad news for you and suicide rate Australia why not quite matching ours is high and this is a great in Japan is high these are places where guns are heavily restricted.

Sorry but your anti-gun claptrap it's just that.

The ONUS is entirely on YOU to provide that percentage decrease with something CREDIBLE.

What I found is that it is UNKNOWN what impact gun restrictions would have on suicides but HOMICIDES effectively DECREASE because there is NO increase in non-firearm homicides that would OFFSET the REDUCTION in firearm homicides.

I think it's ridiculous that this discussion is going off on the tangent of blaming the increase in death rates for young woman on guns.
No substantial evidence that is the case has been presented in this thread.

Sure, it could maybe be a possible theory, a conjecture thrown out there, but without any hard statistics to back it up, it seems undeserving to have a long debate about it.

The FACTUAL statistics PROVE that GUNS are used in 80% of all HOMICIDES and SUICIDES therefore they would ACCOUNT for 80% of the DEATHS of the young women in the OP that were VICTIMS of homicides and suicides.

We already have a STUDY determining that at the very least 80% of those HOMICIDES could be effectively REDUCED with the appropriate gun regulations.

Suicides could be effectively REDUCED via FREE mental health care nationwide.

That leaves MATERNAL MORTALITY which can be addressed via FREE healthcare nationwide.

In this case, no. I trust people are capable of using common sense.

It's not at all unreasonable to assume that (or at least assume it would likely be the case).

Why do you think the burden of proof would be on me rather than on you? You seem to be the one claiming that these murders committed with a gun would not happen if we took away the gun.
In fact, you seem to be the one assuming that the increased rates of death in young women must be due to abortion restrictions and guns. Where's your proof for that?
Seems very hypocritical of you to be saying the "the onus is on you".

I notice what you seem to be doing is attempting to deflect, trying to turn a thread discussion about poorer life outcomes (which might reflect badly about the economy or modern responsibility-free relationships) into a debate about abortion restrictions and gun control.

READ the LINKED article that SUBSTANTIATE that there WILL be a DROP in HOMICIDES when guns are UNAVAILABLE.

Not me saying it, the CREDIBLE LINK provides that INFORMATION that you arbitrarily chose to IGNORE.

Only ONE of us is DEFLECTING from the FACTS that PROVIDED.

Why are you UNABLE to provide anything to support YOUR deflections?

    FACTS matter.

I don't think anyone completely denies that. The question is what percent of these gun homicides will not happen if you try to make guns unavailable.

If you want to continue this discussion about this specific subject, I suggest you start another thread.

If all gun deaths were single homicides...

YOU were PROVIDED with the ANSWER to your question ALREADY. It is 80%.

STOP trying to DERAIL this thread and DEAL with the TOPIC which is the DEATHS of YOUNG women which INCLUDES the use of GUNS.

Why can you NOT accept the FACTS as provided by the STUDY?

What is so DIFFICULT about the FACT that eliminating guns from that situation would SAVE their LIVES?

Isn't that what GENUINE pro-life MEANS?
