Well.... now they are giving ovations for Nazi's... as long as they are fighting the Russians.

    Source

I wonder if the Canadian Parliament also says Hale Azov?

Would you stand and give an ovation to Yaroslav Hunka?

Let's check out the division that Mr. Yaroslav Hunka was assigned to.

    Waffen-SS

Hmmm.. It might appear that Canada has been harboring a war criminal for some time.

Remember all the times libs said cons support Nazis? I do.

If there is anything in life you can bet the farm on, it’s that when libs accuse you of something it’s guaranteed they are doing it and always were.

the house speaker resigned over this and Trudeau is getting slammed publicly for being incompetent to not have done background checks on all guests that were present that day.

So it's turned into another totally embarrassing **** up by progressives.

    Love it.

Another voters remorse for voting in incompetent leadership.

Theor mere statement of "He fought in WWII against the Russians" should have been a MASSIVE red flag!

Theoretically he was tried for war crimes and acquitted based on lack of specific evidence against him, when numerous members of his unit were convicted.
But yeah, SS means he was a piece of **** about 99.99% of the time.

Well.. Yes.. sure.. the speaker is responsible... but who was responsible for giving Hunka a standing ovation? Not sure you can polish that turd by merely the Speaker resigning!

Might I remind everyone, that everyone in that chamber applauded when they call him a Canadian hero... It's going to be a long time before they get this stink off of them.

And, now for the true story:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaroslav_Hunka

"Ann-Clara Vaillancourt, a spokeswoman for Trudeau, called Rota's apology "the right thing to do" and emphasized Rota's responsibility for inviting Hunka to the ceremony.[16] On September 26, Rota announced his resignation over the controversy.[17][18]".

So, the guy who invited Hunka to the session apologized and later resigned over the incident, and Trudeau called it "the right thing to do". So, there is nothing there, except for a guy who wanted to honor an Ukrainian/Canadian, not realizing that he served in the Waffen SS.

Of course, you guys can make this appear that everybody in that room that day, and also all lefties are Nazis, but this is just another poor attempt by the rabid extremist RW media to smear the opposition (as well as Ukraine) and sow division. Nothing new here. Of course, the usual RW propaganda disciples on this forum lap it up without questions asked.

    Yep... sounds about right...

Still, don't they have the Internet in Canada? Seems like this could have been something known BEFORE the invite...

    Liberal ****s up and resigns

MAGA ****s up and blames somebody else...

There was only one team that was fighting the Russians in WWII.... hint... it wasn't the allies.

The vast majority of German soldiers in WWII were drafted or signed up voluntarily, but weren't in the SS. So, no, it is not self-evident that he was automatically a Nazi. In any case, to think that Zelensky, who is Jewish, is a Nazi is just preposterous, but a myth that is perpetuated in the extremist RW media, because of their love for Putin.

I do agree, however, that the guy who invited Hunka should have done his homework. He had to resign for his mistake, as it should be. However, to paint the whole room as Nazis is just more RW propaganda.

First of all, it's amazing how fast Wiki can set up a page for a Nazi and they're already considering taking it down, probably to save future liberal embarrassment.

Second, another embarrassment is how the Canadians know as much about history as Baltimore school kids know about math. Too much CRT and gender studies maybe?

Third, no one loves Putin. In fact it was the almighty and illustrious Bernie Sanders who decided to honeymoon during the height of the cold war.

If anyone has concerns about the thoughts and policies of Nazis and communists, then I would ask them to compare them to liberal and democrat thoughts and policies.

Just when you think they won’t sink any lower…

But hey, anything they can do to score political points to the undereducated and intentionally ignorant is a game plan any more I guess.

Meanwhile we have actual Nazis throwing banners over bridges and hangin nooses for the Vice President but those are ignored.

It would be sad if not so absolutely pathetic

Come now... it's just the irony how the liberal left has constantly painted the right as Nazi's, then an entire paraliment that has a large liberal majority is caught on camera giving a standing ovation to Nazi.

The West has been working hard since the 2014 coupe to purge the Nazi relation in Ukraine. It took at least two years to get their Neo Nazi brigade (Azov) to rebrand themselves.

Oh, yeah ... our '"actual Nazis" hang banners while the guy in Canada was only in an SS unit that slaughtered Jews and Poles. He better step up his game!!!

By the way, Canada has a much bigger problem with Ukrainians and Nazi ideology than the "gaff" in Parliament would indicate. Here's an informative article from 2020 about the issue if you wish to disabuse yourself of your ignorance.

Canadian Support For Ukrainian Nazi Collaborators Goes Beyond Statues

For decades, Canada has underwritten the cultish worship of Ukrainian Nazi collaborator war criminals.

I thought the right was against the destruction of monuments even when they have a sordid.

Personally, I think any Nazi monuments or treasonous relics should be removed.
    Do you agree?

You can use any propaganda you want to paint Dems as Nazis, but when we look at the Nazi ideology of toxic patriotism, populism, authoritarianism, hate of foreigners, gays, communists, love of populist strong men, it is pretty clear which party is much more closely aligned with this.

Ummmmm…..who wants to control the media, engage in censorship, indoctrinate our kids, create a common enemy, spies on political opponents or arrests them, and thinks they’re the elite or master race? How often do libs look down their noses at middle America and call them uneducated rednecks?

Yep, the left thinks they’re the best of the best, i.e. master race.

I'll make this as simple as I can for you.... if they didn't know he was a Nazi, they didn't give a standing ovation to a Nazi...

Now, should they have KNOWN he was a Nazi?? Oh yes, they should have.

But ignorance of a particular situation isn't remotely comparable to the standing ovations OUR Nazi has gotten since 2015...
