Will the DOJ come after Mr. Zimmerman?

Will the door be open to include facts excluded during the criminal trial?

Will the Feds be as successful as the State?

Will a civil judge see the use of self defense as precluding a civil case looking into the same manner or can a judge disregard the verdict?

Was Mr. Zimmerman a fool or deviously shrewd for talking to the police and media or was it the ignorance of a man who thought he was innocent of a crime?

Obamacare, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, right to religious tenets and conscience, voter intimidation/fraud, IRS tyranny, economic meltdown...and the band played on...ball of confusion. We may get a chance to consider other issues now that the Zimmerman trial is over and it will be many months (maybe?) before the Feds come after him?

The FBI has already cleared Zimmerman of any civil rights violations.

    WTF?

Do you understand that Florida Statutes grant Z immunity from any civil prosecution ? And that O'Mara has already said that he will file a motion for immunity should any civil suits be filed against Z ? And he'll get it. Cause it is the Law !!

    - - - Updated - - -

No. George is going to stay right here. And make millions.

George is not immune from a civil suit. Not guilty does not equal self defense.

It's the law???? Please cite the law you refer to

Its been posted a dozen times already.

In George's case, he was found not guilty by reason of self-defense. Are you dense ? Do us all a favor and stop asserting as fact what you are clueless about. Thanks.

There has been no determination that George was found not guilty as a result any statute. To be immune from civil prosecution, George will have to prove self defense by preponderance of the evidence. This is the law in FL.

What ? The trial began with the Defense admitting that George shot Trayvon. And that his Defense was the Affirmative Defense of self defense.

Did the Jury, in their instructions, rule that someone else shot Trayvon ? That it was not proven that George shot Trayvon ? NO !! It wasn't in their instructions, because it was conceded that G shot T !!!! Did the Jury rule that it was an accident ? No !!!! ... dittos. You haven't a clue about the Law on this point. You do not know what the (*)(*)(*)(*) you are talking about on this point.

How pathetic. Look, your year of blaming George came crashing down yesterday. Get over it.

Nothing to get over. Justice was served with a verdict of "not guilty" from the jury.

Sorry 82 but the not guilty verdict does not equal self defense no mater how many tine you say it does.

Imagine the most overwhelming face-palm ever.

You do not know the Law. You do not know this case. O'Mara has already announced that he will file for immunity from all Civil Cases, based on FL Statutes.

Your year of posting nonsense about Zimmerman, and praising Trayvon, did a 5-spiral reality crash yesterday. Get over it.

Or don't. And be the brunt of jokes here.

Here's to your lack of knowledge about the Law ................:roflol:

I was actually looking for that quote for my last post. However Zimmerman certainly changed his position when he drew and fired a gun.

As is the case with nearly everything you say, you are again wrong here from the viewpoint of a legitimate case of a civil rights abuse. If you are trying to say that it is legitimate to pursue Zimmerman in a civil matter, you are wrong. Florida Law is very clear on this point..

If your point is that a civil case will be pursued, then you are correct.

But that doesn't mean it is right - but trying this case with which to begin was never right.

Just to be clear on something, was it not true that Martin was struggling with Zimmerman for control of the gun? That has been my understanding all along, and it further cements Zimmerman's justification for shooting Trayvon - as if getting his head pulped on the concrete wasn't enough for our resident skulls full of mush.

Perhaps they feel if they can survive with a head full of tapioca, Zimmerman shouldn't have felt threatened.

I believe a civil right case against George would be ridiculous. IMO, the criminal elements of this case are over, or should be over. My comments are strictly related to a wrongful death suit by Martin's family.

It's about as ridiculous as George's suit against NBC

Absolute bullsh1t. Any lawsuit based upon slander or libel has far more validity than a civil suit pursued in a State which has clear rules barring such attempts in these circumstances.

Sack up and admit this is over, and should be.

Take a pill man. It's not my suit or issue. My only point is that George is not immune to a civil suit. No more no less.

Are you a lawyer practicing in Florida? They may have enacted shield laws for cases such as this. I really don't know if they have or not but I am wondering what your reasoning is.

I'm not but have done a great deal of research on the immunity issue. I suspect that O'Mara will motion the court for a self defense hearing. IMO, self defense will be tough to prove.

How do you figure it will be tough to prove? What evidence do you have that refutes his stated belief that he felt he was in danger of great bodily harm or worse?
