Is there any actual evidence to support such a belief? Can any scientific study be cited that would support this belief or is it just an unsupported opinion. If only 11% of "whites" reflected racial prejudice then we wouldn't have the high unemployment rates for African-Americans nor would we have the huge wage disparity betweens whites and blacks working at the same jobs.

Now, if we're addressing being an overt racist then the 11% of Republicans (or the US population) might be accurate but the overt racists is a small percentage of those with racial prejudice. It's one thing to be willing to commit a racist hate crime (African-Americans are 22-times more likely to be the victim of a racist hate crime based upon FBI statistics) and it's another thing to have a negative racial prejudice that would adversely affect the employment of a black man of equal experience and qualifications when compared to a white person because the "employer" preceives the "white" candidate to be more qualified because of racial prejudice even when they're not. The employer doesn't even realize that their racial prejudice has influenced their decision because they actually believe the "white" applicant was more qualified when they were not.

Racial prejudice affects our preceptions and it adversely affects the person for whom the prejudice exists. Believing that a "white" is inherently superior to a "black" discriminates against the "black" person. Even more qualified "blacks" are turned away from employment because of this inherent prejudice.

Once agian simply look at the unemployment statistics. These are individual that had a job, were qualified for that employment, and are actively seeking work but an African-American is only 1/3rd as likely to be re-employed when applying for the same job as a White-American. Same qualifications but a huge disparity in the unemployment statistics which reflects racial prejudice in hiring practices by "white" employers.

Check the DOJ's criminal statistics broken down by race of the offender and race of the victim.

and the rest of us have admit we're largely responsible for the dysfunction...I've working on my own for the last 20 yrs and recently decided to take the simpler route and seek employment and I'm shocked to find age discrimination is common, unless I want to be a greeter at walmart or home depot no one will give me an opportunity despite my experience...this situation really p***es me off, I can still out work someone half my age, I see incompetence in people making 60K-80K per year and I can't get a minimum wage job WTF!, employers see grey hair and assume you must be half dead and useless ...now take that same attitude and imagine yourself as a young coloured person who is never given a chance it's no wonder they're bitter and turn to crime and drugs...

 

I had the same issue when I rode motorcycles, it was really tiresome being randomly stopped by police for no other reason that rode a cycle, the assumption being I must be a drug dealer/gangster of some sort and in need of police intimidation... any complaints were met with immediate threats of arrest...

 

I would state that the paranoia has increased with the increase in racial prejudice in America but wouldn't go so far as saying it has "exploded" and the pananoia is based more upon racial stereotyping as opposed to actual facts and data. As was noted African-American crimes are overwhelminly related to black-on-black crime and some studies have indicated that black-on-white crime has actually gone down in recent years.

Of significance though is that "White Americans" have no virtually reason for concern about hate crimes by African-Americans against them whereas the opposite is true for African-Americans where hate crimes committed against them are exponential when compared to racial hate crimes committed against whites.

Yes, raw crime statistics do reflect a serious problem but at the sametime we must also accept the racial prejudice in our law enforcement and criminal justice system. For example there is no statistical difference between the use of illegal drugs between African-Americans and "white" but African-Americans are far more likely to be searched, arrested and prosecuted with a much higher conviction rate and much longer sentences. Even when I was a "long-haired-hippie-freak" in the late 1960's and early 1970's I was never searched when pulled over by police. That is not true for African-American that are often pulled over and searched for nothing more than "driving while black" and this has been well documented.

Anacdotal stories, such as the Huffington Post article, reflecting heinous criminal acts are always disturbing but they have no real relevance. I could just as easily cite Gary Ridgeway (the Green River Killer) or John Wayne Gacy that were white serial killers and it would be just as disturbing.

As we know most serial killers are white middle-aged men although there are certainly exceptions. Most mass murderers are also generally white as well. Most rapists are white, most murderers are white, and most welfare recepients are white. While when reported based upon demographics the statistics reflect more "African-Americans" but this can be linked statistically to the racial discrimination and oppression suffered by African-Americans.

Cause and Effect cannot be ignored.

 

If whites and asians would pay more welfare reparations, they wouldn't have anything to fear. It is not extortion, but racial justice.

 

Why should asians pay reparations to black people?

White people are going to become a very small minority in America. They will be overwhelmed. This being the case I have no sympathy for stories about how bad white people are. Many East Asians I talk to think white people are as dumb as rocks because they allowed their country to be taken away from them.

Young black men who approach me find that I run across the street in order to avoid them. The risk of physical injury is too great.

 

East Asians owe NOTHING TO BLACK PEOPLE. Not a thing. But black people prey on East Asians any way. The only people who know how to deal effectively with black people are Mexicans.

 

Interesting that there is a race war in South Central LA where Mexicans are driving out blacks one street at a time but no Progressives seem to care.
