Do not attempt to speak for all White men, you do not, and your wife does not speak for all Asians either.

Because I did not give you permission to speak for me and I do not know anyone else that did either.

Oh ok. I stand corrected. I speak for all white people except you then.

What about Asians? Do you know any Asians that disagree with my wife?

What about Eurasians? Do you know any Eurasians who agree with you?

Nope, you speak for yourself only, oh and any white man that gave you permission, something I doubt you have.
Yes, I know many Asians that disagree with your wife.
Sorry you are simply rambling now, looks like you are out of talking points.

I have no problem with black people. I've even spent time in poor neighborhoods. Great time, great food, great music.

Don't believe everything you see in the media. If you do, then clearly you'd think that blacks are dangerous. Only time I've been a victim of crime (burglary), the perp was a white guy.

Heads up my friend. PF adopted new rules yesterday. You have admitted you won't stop personal attacks upon me. If you continue along the path of personal attacks you will be sanctioned repeatedly until you are permabanned.

I urge you to reconsider your position on personal attacks. A little reflection on your part is in order. :)

I suggest you figure out what a personal attack is before attempting to explain the new rules to others.

Do you consider yourself representative of Asian Americans in this respect? If so, how do you know that as a matter of objective fact?

Barry White, Jr., 23 years old, has been arrested and charged with the brutal murders of two middle aged Asian American ladies. Here's the story...check it out:

    SAN FRANCISCO —

Dozens of family members of a 51-year-old San Francisco jewelry store employee brutally slain in a double homicide earlier this month called for justice before the suspected murderer was expected to appear in court.

Standing on the steps of the Hall of Justice at 850 Bryant St. around 12:30 p.m., as many as 25 relatives of Lina Lim, of Daly City, decried her killing, with some family members breaking down and openly wailing and weeping.

Lim and Khin Min, 35, of San Francisco, employees at Victoga Inc., a jewelry store inside the San Francisco GiftCenter & JewelryMart at 888 Brannan St. in the city's South of Market neighborhood, were killed in the July 12 attack while the store's owner, Vic Hung, was seriously injured.

He was treated for critical injuries at San Francisco Hospital. He was released on Friday, a hospital spokesman said Wednesday.

Barry White Jr., 23, shot and stabbed the three victims at about 2 p.m. that day, according to police.

Lim's cousin Ken Cui said he wants White to face the family. He called the killing "tragic, very brutal and devastating."

"We are here to find justice," he said.

Another cousin, Annie Sin, said the family has been reeling in the days since Lim's killing.

"We want to know why," she said...."

Why are you so concerned with Black people? Honestly, people try and brush this off, but the reason for the Black culture being the way it is today is because of the White culture that made them this way. They reduced them to less than human, and threw stones at them ever since up until the very recent. Racism was still overt in the 80's and 90's. It was only very recently that people began to be truly discreet (for the most part) about it. The amount of damage done to these people is inexscusable and a clear, if not total, reason for why they are the way they are today. They've been physcially and mentally abused as an entire culture for decades, and the social suppression has made them a pretty much cemented undeclass in the country. The poor are always the source of crime. There's plenty of crime in Asian countries as well, but there's not many Black people there. If White people go to an Asian country, they are advised against crime all the same, as well as STD's. Most Asian countries would likely fall on the watchlist of the White Amercian's you seem to be desperately affiliating yourself with.

It's a bad situation, ideed, but the situation is improivng. You deliberately skip over any sign of growth or advancement- perhaps like Black Supreme Court Justices, President's, CEO's, and the like, and scrounge through articles looking for examples of black crime to post to legitimize you obssession with the degredation of a people because that's all you are looking for or want to hear. If you want to man up, man up to the legacy this country created. You break a horses legs, you get a lame horse. You can't just disqualify history and say it's the horses fault for not rising above the situation.

So...if you want someone to blame, blame you ancestors. Unless you are Asian, then blame the country.

Black people made themselves that way.
Back in the 50's they were not like they are today.

There sure are a lot of self-hating white folks on this thread.
I wonder how many of them would dare to walk in a black neighborhood at nite.
I wonder if they ever make the mistake of getting lost and drove into one of them.
There have been people who did this and were killed.

I have to ask future readers to hang with me on this,

I have to applaud upside-down cake. He is the debater that aspire to be. Attacked with ignorance from all fronts and whether anyone will admit or not, handed the ignorant their backsides repeatedly. I wouldn't have done as good as him, nor would I have rode it out for as long as he did but I would have said a lot of the things he did had I been the one to step up. Not because I'm black but because I fear for my country. The American people are all so deluded and what bothers me is there's nothing that can be done about what was done to black people but the American people humbling themselves and saying sincerely "we were wrong" but that probably won't happen. Not to every black person they see but within themselves. I will openly admit that black people are (*)(*)(*)(*)ing up and that's what saved me from being an ignorant racist or one of those guys who sits there blaming everything on white people. I hold NO white person of today accountable for ANYTHING that was done to my ancestors but what hurts me is the total lack of empathy for the black community. I can't stand Kanye West but I'll quote him on one thing, "the sins of your father will make your life ten times harder". Those old white people turned my ancestors into animals and those animals raised children. Now we have little human-animal hybrids (humor) running around with their asses showing, killing one another. But the truth is they've been trapped....like animals. There's even a new term for the ghetto or hood that you may not know about which is....guess what? THE TRAP!

I am a living example of the progression that Albert Di Salvo (who also had respectable standpoint) wants from black people. I detest violence and I truly do feel sorry for Taikoo for what happened to him. But know this, those guys who jumped him for no reason would have jumped me as well even though I am black, simply because I'm not like them. It is a misconception that white people can't walk around the hood because they're white. They may be easier to identify but the truth is no one can safely walk around the hood. NO ONE.

I was raised around white children and for a while I didn't identify with the black community because I shared the ignorance that has poisoned and could ultimately be the downfall of America. Also because I'm light skin and that's another thing, it seems light skin black people are too black for whites and to white for blacks. I suffered alienation from white children and black children alike at a tender age which really affected the person I am today. I'm also heavily introverted (not shy), for those of you who understand the plight of introversion an extrovert biased society. Fortunately, I shied away from ignorance and I see that the only TRUE white people are the rich ones. They've preyed on the ignorance of the American people and used the obvious problem (poor black people) as a scapegoat. I love/hate (mostly hate lol) everyone equally and I truly do understand why those who feel like the impoverished black people are a plague on America. I have no problem with someone looking at me, a young black male and being a little wary because it gives me a chance to show them that we're not all bad. I honestly appreciate that opportunity, to show that color means little. The true problem lies in the ignorance of our people of all colors.

I didn't read the whole thread because it kind of hurt to see so many people gang up on Upside Down but I don't see ill will towards white people in him. The thing is white people these days are so deluded that they actually believe that the scars from slavery should have healed by now. Has anyone taken the time to acknowledge the psychological damage that was done to black people of the past? That damage was passed from one generation to the next. The Jews and Italians didn't receive the degree pf oppression that black people did in America. The white male has been portrayed as a paragon throughout history when that just isn't the case. Heck, look at the gangsters. The Italian Mafia is glorified in our society (Sopranos anyone?).

Upside Down covered it all. It's up to everyone else to set their egos and Murican pride aside to actually read what was said. The truth is this country was built on murder, oppression and lies. Cute things like integrity, hard work and determination are just wall paper on cold, harsh cement. Don't be fooled my brothers and sisters of the world, those in power know what they're doing. If black people really were a problem, we would have been wiped out like so many others. Chances are, you are NOT really white and you are NOT truly free. Unless you have money, you are just ass much of (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) as me. The American idea freedom is an illusion, true freedom is anarchy and most of us aren't prepared for that. Furthermore, middle/lower class white people calling themselves "white" is a privilege. I also laugh at the notion that Hispanics and Asians are becoming white. That upcoming movie with Matt Damon could be our future, the only color that matters is green. It's not so obvious now but when the rich are the only ones experiencing the new frontiers of space while the rest of us are killing each other for scraps we'll be kicking ourselves for not identifying and rectifying the true problem.

Black people know they're messing up, I've had an immense amount of resentment targeted towards them. But I learned how to empathize and to look for the root of a problem. Black people's current situation was brought on by slavery, acknowledge it or not and looking even deeper you will see ignorance and apathy are at the root of most of America's problems, regardless of color. People seem to ignore history as if it has nothing to do with today, as if America was just built overnight. Many lives were stolen and sacrificed so you all could vilify and complain about me without even knowing that I would have taken a beating trying to save Taikoo from those hoodlums that unjustly victimized him. You may not want to acknowledge it but I am a person and I have feelings. My life is just as complex as yours and being a fool who wants to help the world, mine can be even more complex at times. I understand and sympathize where a lot of your hostility towards black people come from but to someone like me who's making an effort to judge people by their character, a lot of you guys are plain ignorant. I truly do fear that ignorance will be the downfall of this yet to be great country.

I'm going to dedicate my life to helping people (in college for nursing) and it really bothers me that some of you won't even appreciate it because of my ancestry because the truth is, my skin is as light as some white people's. I implore anyone who reads this to take a moment and think about what separates the American people, what is it that makes us upper class, middle and lower class.

According to the government, based my family's income, I'm a middle class citizen. Yet to some of you I'm not even a qualifying citizen. Who's right? Well cashiers take my money when I hand it to them without question and I'm currently killing myself in school. Now if I were the animal you people want me to be a cashier would look at me as they would a dog with a twenty dollar bill in its mouth trying to buy a bottle of tea and probably wouldn't be sure of what to do. And I've never heard of even the smartest animals besides a human being enrolled in college.

I feel absolutely NO amount of self entitlement I'm not even receiving financial aid for my education. Now how many white people can say that? My mother and father worked too hard to provide for me to be a lazy nothing accepting hand outs when I already have more than I need in the first place.

My father has been telling me that I should get into politics for years but I'm too scared because I feel like no one would listen to me and even if they did, no one who's ever tried to stand up against the giant did so without becoming a martyr or inadvertently dragging the people they love down with them.

Now I know I'm probably going to be met with scrutiny on this post (which I have no intentions of entertaining btw) but I don't care because I'd rather put it out there and hope that I can do the astounding thing that is changing someone's perspective than stay silent and add to the problem.

I'm from murderous Philadelphia btw so if we end up like Detroit, please know that we're not all bad and please don't ignore us like everyone is ignoring Detroit.

    Much Love

I appreciate your comment very much. I read your entire post, but the part that stuck out to me was the one above. It brought up a comment I heard a while back when discussing something very similar. We were talking about the problems of race in modern US, and how it sat with a Black President in office, and one of the replies was...

    "He's not Black. He's a politician."

I believe that comment will serve anyone well on multiple levels.

I totally agree with that. Seeing my parents and countless other Black Americans flock to that man simply because he wasn't fully white bothered me to my soul. I was only 15 or 16 at the time but I saw the wrong in that. Part of me thinks that he was aloud into office by an unseen entity to disarm those who would speak against the unfairness in this country.
