:roflol: Wow. For some reason I thought it was a bird. My mistake, it isn't often I show my ass to the world. But when I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and I'll fess up to it, regardless of who points it out. Gold star for you. Although I have not misused the concept, I definitely had my animals mixed up.

Very well then, I'll not be chasing marine life with red scales.

Although you have still not clarified this-

Those with an slightly higher grasp of the English language will understand and appreciate it. ;)

OK, now I , unlike you and your red birds, will answer your question concerning : AND there are still those Anti-Choicers who say they think abortion for rape and incest is OK...and that PROVES they only want to punish women who enjoyed the sex.

Abortion is abortion...it isn't different if it's a fetus caused by rape or incest as opposed to a fetus brought about by any other form of sex like enjoyable sex.

So if someone is against abortion EXCEPT in the case of rape/incest then obviously they want to punish the woman who enjoyed the sex.

Oh, and keep your gold star...I have my own...but you don't get one...:)

Or every time they have trouble answering another poster's post, or want to get out of a tight spot, or just can't address the issues...out come those cardinals . ;)

Okay. So it still runs on victim mental pathology. It has little, if anything to do with punishing women from my perspective. What others may say or feel is entirely another matter. As I have stated countless times before, I come at this from the wallet because trying to find a common morality we can all agree on is a fool's errand.

I just don't want tax money going towards financing another's sexual hobbies, or the results of their sexual hobbies in anyway.

I agree....but we all do. I pay taxes that support schools filled with the products of other's sexual hobbies. I pay taxes that feed and give early education and care to children of poor parents.

I find that supporting Americans is the right thing to do....our taxes support the wealthy so I'm glad some of it goes towards those without wealth.

And it's funny how you discuss abortion as if you're interested and then , when in a corner, always go back to your pocket book....OK, THAT won't change...sooooooo why are you discussing abortion?

AND if women feel like banning abortion will make them victims, it's not imaginary.

Helping your fellow americans is the right thing to do...when it is voluntary, not forced. When it is forced it is bascically stealing from one to give to another.

I tend to have a keen interest in where my money gets spent. As long as my dollars are attached to it, my interest will remain. And I will vote accordingly.

A woman's feelings are intangible and thus of no consequence. Making laws off of intangible things is foolish at best.

But yes, it is imaginary, unless the mandate involved beating them with a stick of sort, or other penalty enforced by law.

Look at it this way, you're not the only one paying taxes here. Your share of taxes is going to things you do agree with while those of us who also pay taxes have them go towards things we agree with. You have to think, how many taxes do you pay a year? What do all of our state and federal taxes go to? Just remember that your share of taxes are going to all the things you agree with.

I don't mind in the slightest if my taxes go to cover abortions for women who were raped or who need an abortion to save their lives and many other people here who also pay taxes don't mind this either. Our share of taxes covers this while your share of taxes combined with those who agree with you cover things that you approve of.

    Problem solved.

I find it rather annoying when people behave like they are the only one's who pay taxes which pay for things they do not like. We all pay taxes as working citizens of this country and we all have varying viewpoints of what OUR fair share of taxes and should and should not go to.

Glad you brought this up actually. You're right, I'm not the only one who pays taxes. That being said, I think we should be able to direct exactly how our funds are applied. If people want it to be okay for their funds to go to abortion - fine, be my guest as long as it is by choice, and not by force. If people want their funds to go to schools, just as well. It is when my cash is pried out of my hands at gun point and then spent in a way I have zero control over I get uppity. Just as you should get uppity about it.

Why not institute a system where we get to pick where our money is spent? Let the legislators make the laws, and even set the tax rates, but let the citizen dictate where his or her money goes. And then you'll see just how many people are really cool with abortion. Things change when you're paying for it. Make it part of the tax form, columns and check boxes would be largely sufficient. And then if at the end of the year it isn't needed give what isn't needed back.

Sure it would be a little more complicated, but with a tax code that is 50000+ pages long, what is one more drop in the bucket?

Not really, we're all in the same pot. I don't want to be in that pot, want to use my cash to build roads and schools? Fine. But whether or not a woman is raped? I still don't want to be connected to paying for abortion. Because I know plenty well just how vindictive a woman can be if a guy doesn't call her back the next morning. "Rape" indeed...what is to stop a girl from saying she is raped every time she wants an abortion?

Which is why we should be able to pick exactly where our money goes, that way we only have ourselves to thank for the outcome. Put it back on the individual, where it belongs. That being said, I'd pay for some idiot to be sterilized. Hell, I'd donate extra to that fund.

    Good post and true!

Here's some more...no matter who we vote for we all pay some taxes we don't agree with....that's life....unless of course, SOMEONE can find a country that runs really well on voluntary contributions....;)

    "protecting the unborn" ???

Obviously , for some, the motive is that 1/10th of a cent of theirs that may help someone they don't approve of.

    Read back a few pages.....

Good luck implementing a system that would ensure our taxes are spread across the board evenly based on where people want their taxes to go. ROFL! People would be like, nah I think we have enough roads and then we'd never get an potholes fixed. Haha!

Oh and there are PLENTY of women who want to be sterilized who never, ever want kids, ever, but so few doctors who are willing to perform the operation out of fear that down the line the woman will just change her mind and sue them for not being able to reverse the procedure.

Most doctors will only sterilize a woman if she already has several children and is over a certain age.

    http://www.yesandyes.org/2012/11/true-story-i-chose-to-get-sterilized-at.html

It is surprisingly more difficult for women to get sterilized at a young age no matter how stupid you may think they are to begin with. So again, good luck with THAT! You can fork over as much money as you want for the procedure, but it's just finding the right doctor and going through the grilling process and hearing all the judgments and the same old, "You'll regret your decision I just know you will because every woman wants to be a joyful mother someday, right!?"

Our society still unfortunately has it in their mind that every woman desires to be a mother of her own little brood someday.

I was skimming over a woman's childfree blog and her journey to become sterilized and she mentioned in the comments section of her blog that she is often asked, "Why don't you want kids?" and she says what they should ask her is, "Why should she want kids?" Interesting thought. She described how she could not find a single unselfish reason for intentionally becoming pregnant and bringing a child into the world.

Ya, these "experts" who think all a woman has to do is ask a doctor for a tubal and there it is! How naive.

They are as mistaken about that as they are mistaken about picking and choosing where their taxes go..how childish.

But this thread did prove it isn't all about the "precious baaaaaaabbbbby", it's about their perceived loss of a few cents a year that would certainly leave them broke and destitute...guess I don't feel their pain because that few cents doesn't have much meaning to me.

Abortion needs to be legal. A woman needs to have the choice to do with her body as she will. Yes, life begins at conception, but the phrase "endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, among these being, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"; must take into account the liberties of one already born before those who have not yet been born, otherwise those already born are not and cannot ever be fully free and their rights are squashed as a result.

Taxes will always be used for things you may never know about or care about nor care for. This is part and parcel of the type of government we have. But better to be in a world filled with choices than under the tyrannical thumb of suppression. It's up to all of us to use our choices in a responsible manner, lest they be taken away.

I'd recommend next time a "pro-lifer" starts screaming about "murder" or "killing babies", you simply ask-

"Fine....after 40 years why the HELL can't you guys stop it then??? Is it because you're in the minority opinion....or are you just LAZY?"

Why can't we stop it? Well why don't you ask this question....why is the country still divided on this if there is nothing wrong with abortion? Why is it still today the top debate issue going? It always has been. Why can't we stop it? BEcause of the evil that lurks in our government. The only way it will collectively be changed is if the SCOTUS changes it. Today states are cracking down and making it harder...which is good...so in a way this is happening.

Why after 40 years...is this issue at the top?

Phil it is so sad that you want abortion legal..which also probably would mean that because a woman has the right to her body and this is choice...you would not want to take her right away also to get a later term abortion on demand for any reason...any month. Right? You would not want to suppress her rights to her body based on your bias, right? Better to be in a world that allows immoral choices, right? Cause if abortion was bad...you certainly would not be for it would you?

The country isn't divided on this issue no matter how many times Anti-Choicers PARROT what others have said.

Poll after poll have said that MOST Americans believe abortion should be legal...because MOST Americans are INTELLIGENT!

This issue is NOT at the top anywhere but here. In the last election is was hardly mentioned except for the Brain dead Anti-Choice/Anri-Women Republicans making ignorant statements like how when women get raped they can't get pregnant..:) That sure helped the Pro-Choice crowd....:) :) :)

The LEFT PROABORT POSITION....WORLDVIEW. Lets save money by.........
All abortion legal, euthanasia legal, assisted suicide legal, forced sterilization, pro-eugenics, kill the handicap and any pregnant woman's baby who will live in poverty..... forcing everyone to pay for all of it. And no one could stand up against it because....all our guns would be taken away.

Basically in this world...everything goes and people are forced by the state how to live...its anti-choice. Starting in New York with the new....ban on soft drinks. And now you can buy a gun ok...but try to buy ammunition....expensive when you can get it...and harder and harder to get it.

Ever lived out in the country? People institute Co-ops for just this sort of thing, and others as well.

This is an error on the doctors part, the doctor is the employee and should do what he is paid to do. Were it not for the practice of "butt hurt" lawsuits, I am sure you would find more that are willing to do it. But in some states they won't allow it because of repopulation issues and government based pensions - money is the sole reason for these laws.

I agree, it is a pain in the butt, we should loosen things up so that those who don't want to have them, should not have to worry about it. Making sterilization an option at the patient's discretion, not the doctor's.

Well, people have varying opinions, and the free market should be allowed to fill the need in this instance without the legal system bogging it down with malpractice suits. Or judgment from some doctor.

Why limit it do just women? I'd encourage the men the same, if not more. Men can knock of as many women as he can slip his organ into. Women can only get pregnant, then they have to wait at least 9 months before they can do it again, or they can whack their child while still inside them.

    English comprehension problem?

Yes, they have repeatedly , throughout many forums and other media, said just that. Not in those exact words but when they say "Taxes bad, me No Want To Pay Taxes Unless it is for things Me approve of" , that's what they're saying
