No Leviticus is for those who are God's chosen which would be believers.

    http://www.genuineleatherbible.net/2011/bible-study-leviticus

It does say that in Leviticus, Matthew, Romans, etc. you have to do some twisting in order to get the Bible to say anything different.

Tell ya what Maccabee, show me what chapter and verse that refers to homosexuality as a "sin", and not anything else such as an "abomination" or other words.

Show me where it's considered to be a sin.

Additionally, show me a Bible verse that speaks out against lesbians or transvestites.

The biblical God doesn't love everyone. In fact, he hates a lot of people. He still hates Esau.

Sirach 12:6 (CEB) = "The Most High also hated sinners, and he will repay the ungodly with punishment."

The Hebrew word used in Malachai 1:2-3 (“Yet I have loved Jacob 3 but Esau I have hated) does not actually translate to "hate", it does have a negative connotation but more accurately means "to love less" or to strongly prefer one over another. God did not hate Esau personally, God promised Esau's mother Rebekah that Esau would found a nation and would prosper, and he did. Esau founded the Edomites, and he was prosperous - he was blessed, he certainly was not cursed.

The meaning of "hating Esau" is two fold, one that God selected Jacob over Esau to continue the Covenant; the other is that "Esau" does not refer to the man but the people descended from Esau. The Edomites turned against God, God did not protect them any longer and the Edomites were eventually destroyed.

    God is a big hater. Romans 9:13 https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Romans 9:13

It's interesting that God still hates Esau but he pals around with Satan, who is supposed to be the evil one. The only rule that Esau broke was that he refused to marry his relatives. Meanwhile his lying thieving brother and mother got away with their crimes.

I think we can both agree that so the Bible can be "presented correctly" that it would have been best if Jesus came down w/in the last 2000 years to set us all straight as to what the real, accurate, true reading of the Bible is - because your point that the Bible is a very confusing book is well taken.

Just like the Mafia never sends people to sleep with the fishes - "the individual chooses it" (they HAD a choice, and they made the wrong choice....ooops.)

    - - - Updated - - -

That's fascism - telling people how to THINK, or they get brutal, savage, barbaric, torture that even Hitler never dreamed of torturing his worse Jewish enemy with. Jesus was therefore a fascist, it can be argued.

It's still shocks me every time I read a post of yours that you are more concerned about the person POINTING OUT the bigotry (me, pointing out Jesus' utter hatred for gays) than the bigot THEMSELVES (Jesus.) Incredible. In 1939, if I pointed out that Hitler was bigoted against gays, I'm pretty sure you'd condemn ME, and give Hitler (like Jesus in this example) a complete pass. Can you condemn Hitler and Jesus for their hatred of gays?

Those people that the mafia killed, weather they was enemies of the mafia, or innocent people. Should have been ready for death. Meaning we never know when it's our time, but if we are right with Jesus it doesn't matter. Your death is merely being born into an eternal life. Which eternity will we choose.

We live in a world of good and evil. You seem to be confused on which is which. Jesus and God practice nothing but good, and have built a system accordingly. They have an eternal realm that consists of no evil whatsoever. If that is the type of life you wish we all had, than why do you ridicule or oppose them? Jesus nor God send people to hell, those people have chosen hell through their decisions and actions. If a serial killer gets caught, do they let him go or sentence him to prison/death? This is no different than what you claim Jesus and God do, justice will be served unless one repents and asks to be forgiven. We all will be judged according to our deeds. And rightfully so. The problem is we would all deserve to go to hell. It is Jesus who saved us from that, by believing in Him we have salvation from our evil deeds, which for everybody would most certainly outweigh our good deeds.

Most non believers love to bring up homosexuality, and how could a loving God condemn one for such. But what they are failing to realize is homosexuality is a property of evil or satan. It has no place or cannot be within the kingdom. There is not even a thought about it in the kingdom, for there is no evil. satan has deceived them, just as he did with Adam and Eve. "Surely you will not die, for God knows you will become like Him, knowing both good and evil." Or, "surely you can still make it to heaven, there is nothing wrong with acting against what is natural." Without satan/evil there is no homosexuality.

    Isaiah 5:20King James Version (KJV)
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Actually, my friend, it's the religious people who are the confused ones. Killing gays is evil - the Bible approves of that. Slavery is evil - Jesus accepted slavery. Killing babies is evil, and as Gorn Captain has pointed out, god did that in the Bible (willingly.) Clearly Modern Secular Humanism is good, and religions are evil.

I'm sorry did you just say Jesus approved of slavery? The Bible approves of killing gays? Are you out of your mind? Has satan easily deceived you? Jesus knows of the evil in our world, He knows that the powers that be will not be stopped from their evil activity. Thus He knows no matter what there will be slavery. So upon being a slave, be a good slave. And might you tell me where the Bible says killing gays is approved of? Or do you just ramble nonsense?

Analogy- Let's just pretend that I created our entire world, and everything therein. Now it does not matter weather I am a good or evil being. I am the creator and things will be done how I see fit. You can moan and complain all you want. If I no longer want you in my creation, than it will be done.

It's a good thing our Creator is of love, mercy and forgiveness if one chooses, isn't it.

That's just it - religious people are not PRETENDING - they actually believe that nonsense.

    - - - Updated - - -

So are his followers - they give their impressionable young children a book that says to kill them if they turn out the way "god" made them (gay) - one of many examples of Christian immorality.

    - - - Updated - - -

Too bad "god" is not actually real, or he could just arrest that dude. I would. But then again, I'm far more moral than their god is.

I wrote "accepted" slavery, which the Bible believes he did, see below. Can we agree that if, repeat if (we'll never know because he's not real enough to show himself) he, just say, did accept slavery, that he's likely not all-knowing? Can we jrr?

    ---------------------------------

Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.

Many Jews and Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that these slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the word “servant”, “bondservant”, or “manservant” instead of “slave” to make the Bible seem less immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that doesn’t mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than livestock.

The following passage shows that slaves are clearly property to be bought and sold like livestock.

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated.

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.’ If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)

Notice how they can get a male Hebrew slave to become a permanent slave by keeping his wife and children hostage until he says he wants to become a permanent slave. What kind of family values are these?

The following passage describes the sickening practice of sex slavery. How can anyone think it is moral to sell your own daughter as a sex slave?

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl’s owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

So these are the Bible family values! A man can buy as many sex slaves as he wants as long as he feeds them, clothes them, and has sex with them!

What does the Bible say about beating slaves? It says you can beat both male and female slaves with a rod so hard that as long as they don’t die right away you are cleared of any wrong doing

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

You would think that Jesus and the New Testament would have a different view of slavery, but slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. (1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)

In the following parable, Jesus clearly approves of beating slaves even if they didn’t know they were doing anything wrong.

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. “But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given.” (Luke 12:47-48 NLT)

Dude, I'M not the one who believes in a thousands-of-years-old invisible evil guy who magically creates havoc around the world! Your "satan" has as much court-room level of proof for his existence as a talking squirrel does. Think about that. Your "god" can't even prove his existence, or "satan's" existence, to a higher level than a talking squirrel. Think about that.

Nope....Hindu Gandhi is going to receive brutal, savage torture from your invisible friend and his retarded son, and you approve of that....which I believe makes you, well, immoral.
    All these verses in that evil book imply that: John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 2 Thessalonians 1:1-10, John 3:18, John 10:27-28, Matthew 10:32, Luke 12:8, John 5:2, John 3:36, John 6:47, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9, Revelation 19:20, 20:10,14-15, 21:8.

Being gay is a choice, it is an act based off of a thought. Your saying a smoker doesn't have a choice, they was just born that way. It's one thing to have a homosexual thought, to act on it, is entirely different. The action requires an unnatural, perverted and disgusting one. The male penis is inserted into another male anus, disgusting and completely unnatural. Thus leading to more accepted perversions. It has to do with the way in which one was raised, and the environment (society) thereof. Not entirely their fault, but also those who have allowed the temptation in their society, without shame or fighting against it. Constantly reminding one another of the law's given to us by our Father, would help tremendously. But that's not what we see is it? Rather a world of self interest or selfishness, what it is the individual wants and likes, not what the law requires, or a society as a whole. Even our very own countries have law's. Why? What if it's a law I don't agree with, can I simply break it without consequence because I simply don't agree with it? No I cannot. Same goes for our Fathers law's, there will be consequences.

Look how you have to resort to name calling. Childish calling Jesus retarded, or anybody for that matter. It's crazy how He forgives you for that, if you ask with sincerity. If not, may He have mercy on your soul. Jesus nor God sends you to hell. Your choices and they way you treat others do, or you yourself takes you there. The most important message from within the Bible, is to love your neighbor as yourself. In doing this, everything else falls into place.

Nonsense! Those allegedly all-powerful beings SET UP the Auschwitz-like "hell" - making them worse than Hitler because Hitler's few million Jews is NOTHING compared to the billions and billions of non-believers that the Bible implies will get roasted alive (heck, the Jews even received better treatment in Auschwitz than god/Jesus will subject Gandhi to in "hell"). So Hitler was more moral than god/Jesus.

    - - - Updated - - -

Ok, I love my neighbor enough to see that (if I had the power) I wouldn't send him to brutal torture for not believing in me, since I myself would not want that to happen to me. Can we agree on that?

    1. Retarded

    3. Fools
    4. Unclean
    5. Serpents
    6. Vipers

You continually show almost total ignorance of the Bible.

Go read your own link to Romans, and actually read my previous post:

KJ21 As it is written: “Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”

ASV Even as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.

AMP As it is written and forever remains written, “Jacob I loved (chose, protected, blessed), but Esau I hated (held in disregard compared to Jacob).”

AMPC As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated (held in relative disregard in comparison with My feeling for Jacob).

So if an ancient book say to kill straight people (I'm assuming you are straight) you'd refrain from sex for your entire life to please the anonymous authors of said ancient book? And you'd be fine with said book saying to KILL you if you dare to have sex?

    - - - Updated - - -

You couldn't be more wrong about him.

    - - - Updated - - -

I'm not gay, but please tell us which is more disgusting:
    1. "The male penis is inserted into another male anus"
    2. Someone being "blessed" for dashing babies against rocks?

Please tell us, jrr, which is more disgusting.

    - - - Updated - - -

Too bad the all-knowing "god" isn't smart enough to design people who don't want to be gay.

    - - - Updated - - -

You can't condemn god for his hatred of gays, can you?
I can - because Modern Secular Humanism is a more moral belief system, period.

Wrong yet again, your string of "wrong" is quite extensive.

The Bible is not confusing - to those who actually read it. Like any literature from another culture and time, you have to read it with some knowledge of the time and culture to understand the context. And all that knowledge is very easily acquired.

But you have to actually want to be honest about reading and understanding. It does not matter if its the Bible or the Iliad, if you just want to take snippets out of context and with the intent of misrepresenting the literature, then you will always be confused by it.

I could be wrong 491 times, and I'd still be less wrong than the number of contradictions in the Bible (492): http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/by_name.html

Too bad god is so stupid as to not be able to have a book created about him that doesn't have almost 500 contradictions in it (in ONE book, no less!) Obviously he's not too bright. Created the entire universe? If he can't even create a book with under 400 contradictions in it then he's obviously didn't actually create the entire universe. I think creating a lego Barbie doll house would be a stretch for this "god"!

The Bible's list of "wrongs" would dwarf me even if I was drunk 90% of the time. Those brainiacs who wrote the Bible believed the earth was 6000 years old (today), and Christians don't love their children enough to work to get those horrifically wrong texts changed. But they will chastise their children for getting a "D" in science class! Unreal. Christians seem like intellectual cowards.

Then you've obviously never asked a bunch of different people to explain what the "a rich man...camel...eye of a needle" verse means! Try it....then realize that you are wrong - dead wrong.
