Okay, thanks. In Trump’s Nov 6, 2012 tweet you supplied, he said, “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”

On Sep 26, 2016, during a presidential debate between Trump and Clinton, Clinton said, “Donald thinks that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.”

The two statements are not alike. Here they are side by side:

Trump: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
Clinton: “Donald thinks that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.”

He didn’t use the word ‘hoax’. He didn’t say ‘climate change’. So he was right to say he didn't say what Clinton said he said. Also, Clinton cannot claim to know what Trump thinks at that moment. He may have changed his mind the day before. He didn't, but she doesn't know that.

On the subject of his view itself, he was expressing an opinion, and as a matter of fact, I am of the same opinion; that the Left (including the Chinese communists) has created the man-made Global Warming myth in order to make Western Democracies poor, and make themselves richer. An opinion is not a lie. It is simply his view.

So once again, if you know of a lie Trump has told, please place it here. No Gish Gallops, please. Just provide one alleged lie, along with a link.

    I have two

Trump said during his campaign that he would place control of the Trump Organization and his personal stock portfolio in a blind trust. A blind trust is a independent third party with no direct political, social, or familial connections to the owner. It's usually a law firm. He then placed his sons in control of the company and his portfolio.

He said during the campaign that he would donate all Trump Organization profits coming from dealings with foreign governments to the US Treasury Department, while he was President, in order to avoid violating the Emoluments Clause. He never did this, and has directly profited several times from dealings between several foreign governments and the Trump Organization.
Not only that, but he also used the office of President to push foreign delegates and private lobbyists to use Trump hotels in Washington, hinting that he would give the, better deals during negotiations if they did so.

Yeah, well dispite your own made up attempt to parse this, Trump very obviously lied.

He is on tape directly discussing the mechanics of how to make such a payoff with his attorney.

Months later, he pretended to know nothing about it.

Trump lies constantly, and you know it.

But you're a troll, so you'll keep this childish game up as long as there are suckers who will play it with you.

Once again - just the alleged lie, along with a link. Otherwise, a person can say, "Sure, here's my Trump lie - The New York Times."

I searched and found many different pages with many different stories. I picked this one: https://www.inquisitr.com/5021078/trumps-washington-d-c-hotel-might-be-a-conflict-of-interest/ but it appears to be a court case in progress. So - what was the alleged lie exactly, and what was your source?

You didn't provide the actual alleged lie. I assume it is the headline, "Donald Trump says the unemployment rate may be 42 percent," which sounds like an opinion to me, rather than a lie. I can look more closely if you supply the wording. In the meantime I must be away - will return in some hours.

The pretense that Lyin' Don always tells the truth is a most amusing one.

The cult that fantasizes that truth isn't truth are denizens of the rightist fringe, and are indoctrinated by their entertainment media masters.

So, what this is called is 'the no true scottsman.' In no way does your defense make any sense. If your quibble were valid, then nobody has ever lied in the history of the world. That being said, most defense of rump boils down to this: Find the thinnest possible thread, grab it and proclaim victory.

Now, the 'gish gallop' comes mostly from the fact that trump has made literally thousands of wildly false and misleading statements. Even if you can make some threadbare argument that is sort of true on the thinnest margins that it isn't technically a 'lie' in the particular definition you decide applies at the time, it is still wildly dishonest. And trump is dishonest in whatever definition you want to use on a level that historic for used car salesman, let alone a president.

As for the notion of climate change being a hoax, you can call it opinion, and the idea that the earth is flat is also an opinion. But both happen to be wrong.

This is why you need to place the wording of the alleged lie here. What did he say that was a lie, and where is your proof? Show a link. As I said, I looked into this and cannot see a lie. Many billionaires have lawyers that do things without the billionaire's knowledge - it happens every minute of the day. This comes down to your simply not knowing how a billionaire conducts business.

You still haven't detailed the lie. Let's say his alleged lie was that he said, "I hate wearing hats." All you have to do is copy and paste or write that down here. "Trump said 'I hate wearing hats' and that was a lie." Then show the link. If you can't do that I can't help you.

Not at all. When declaring someone’s reply to be a logical fallacy you need to show why it is a logical fallacy. You failed to do that.

Untrue, and my defense made perfect sense. Once again:

Trump: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
Clinton: “Donald thinks that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.”
Trump: "I did not. I did not. I do not say that. I do not say that."

According to you and Hillary, Donald said, “Climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.” According to Donald, he did not say that. If he said, “Climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese,” show me the quote. That’s not a true Scotsman. That’s a request for evidence. You were invited to show a Trump lie. So far you have failed. Try again.

Trump doesn’t lie. If he does, place one here. So far all you’ve managed to do is show Trump denying saying something he didn't say.

The reason Trump denied knowing is that he didn't know. If you have proof he did know at that time, provide it. Otherwise, you cannot assume he lied. I am simply asking for an alleged lie, along with proof. Anyone can say he lied. That's not what is being requested.

So, it's a logical fallacy in that it seems there is no possible example that could be given to you (that he either did or didn't say) that you would consider a lie so long as it's attributed to him. If this is not the case, can you give an example of something you would consider a 'legitimate' lie?

So, I'll give you some benefit of the doubt to explain how you justify this excuse. Is your argument that something created and perpetrated by someone for ulterior motives doesn't constitute a hoax? Is it that he technically didn't use the word 'hoax?' Is it that he said 'do not' rather than 'did not?'

If Trump wore a blue hat yesterday, and then stated, “I did not wear that blue hat yesterday,” and there were plenty of trustworthy witnesses and plenty of trustworthy photos of him wearing the blue hat, and he looked at those and still insisted he wore no blue hat, then I’d have to admit he was lying. However, if he wore a blue hat, and Clinton said, “Donald wore a red hat yesterday,” and Trump said, “No, no, that’s not true. I didn’t do that,” then I would say that no, Trump did not lie about the hat. It's pretty straightforward. Of course, Trump doesn't go around lying like that. He's very careful in the way he talks, and you would expect that since he's a billionaire and the POTUS. You don't get to succeed the way he did by lying all the time.

The first point here is that nobody denies “climate change”, the term Clinton used. Nobody. Do you know anyone on Earth that says climate change doesn’t exist? The second point is that if Clinton is going to declare something that Trump “believes,” the least she can do is get the wording right. So if she says, “Donald thinks that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese,” when he actually said, “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive,” Trump has every right to say, “I did not. I did not. I do not say that. I do not say that."

So instead of finding a flea-bitten, hole-ridden, broken down excuse of a lie, find me a real, bona fide, worthy, perfect example of a Trump lie that can stand up on its two legs and bark.

You have my sympathy though because I’ve already tried and failed. There are none that I can see, so good luck. You’ll need it. :D

So, can you give an example of someone else who has ever lied? Say obama?

So, it seems like it requires a lot of faith to think that is what he was thinking, and he doesn't think very much. Trying to make that nonsensical distinction at that very moment doesn't make any sense, but ok we can play the game, out of curiosity if nothing else. I will say, I doubt anyone not already religiously devoted to trump already would buy your explanation.

What have you got for this one?

Trump made it clear many times he saw them on TV. That footage would have then been covered over and deleted by good old Fake News, especially had it been an ethnic channel. There are hundreds of over the air TV stations in NY City, and hundreds of cable TV stations too. Trump would have been passing through the channels on the events happening, and the crowd in question would have been cheering as a building went down - like a crowd at the football cheering a touchdown. It only goes for a short time, but it would leave a big impression on Trump. He would have then heard the firemen calling Stern about the same thing, and other vids online.

Trump was interviewed by George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week” show, November 22, 2015. The YouTube below has the whole interview. The part in question begins at the 7:15 mark. Stephanopoulos interviewed Trump by phone, and played a tape showing Trump talking about thousands of people cheering in New Jersey. We start the transcript there:

Stephanopoulos: Y’know the police say that didn’t happen… at all. Those rumors have been on the internet for some time, so did you misspeak yesterday?

Trump: It did happen. I saw it. It was on television, I saw it.

Stephanopoulos: You saw that with your own eyes?

Trump:George, it did happen. There were people that were cheering on the other side on New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations, they were cheering as the World Trade Center came down. I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down – as those buildings came down, and that tells you something. It was well covered at the time, George, now I know they don’t like to talk about it, but it was well covered at the time. There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it; a heavy Arab population that were cheering as the buildings came down. NOT GOOD!

Stephanopoulos: As I said the police are saying it didn’t happen but I wanna move on right now, core survival are… [continues about other matters].

Conclusion: Trump wasn’t lying. It’s common for Lefties to downplay any bad behavior from minorities, and this is what happened in this case. Trump saw vision on the day of 9/11, and it was subsequently covered over by Fake News. Then they began using his description of it to belittle him. Melbourne Australia suffers the same exact thing, with the coverage of Sudanese gangs by the liberal media. The Labor government tells their police to keep quiet about Sudanese gang violence, and the liberal media do their best to keep it toned down too. Labour did the same thing in England and Merkel is doing the same thing in Germany. At the time of this interview, on November 22, 2015, who was in office? Democrat liberal Barrack Obama was POTUS, and Democrat liberal Bill de Blasio was mayor of NY, NY. Of course the cops there would deny any such celebrations by Arabs.

Video (the part in question begins at the 7:15 mark):

I see, so the argument here is that it is more believable that footage of thousands and thousands of people was only recorded once, broadcast for some reason, then comprehensively scrubbed from all media never to surface again anywhere or be reported by anyone else because they weren't white. Than to believe a serial bs'er was just full of crap?

Can't imagine not being convinced by that.
