The pages you pointed at are examples of the two sides negotiating, as shown in my last reply. I will say the same thing I would say if you had said pigs can fly. Show me the proof.

    Wow...
The unilateral contract eliminated the negotiating. It was the Pentagon saying 'take it or leave it.' It's clearly stated in the articles I linked.

Like I said, the only thing left to do was to decide what to cut and what to keep, and like I said, that's for the engineers to decide.

I've showed you the proof, but you choose to side-step it by refusing to acknowledge what the unilateral contract did.

You can ignore it, you can dismiss it, but you can't change the fact that the cost-cutting negotiations ended with the Pentagon's take-it-or-leave-it unilateral contract in 2016, before Trump became president.

Again, I'll admit you are correct if you can show me what exactly Trump did that "made the deal." No one seems to be able to do that.

Here is an example of how Fake News works. We start with an article in that great bastion of Fake News, the failing New York Times, May 25, 2018. Let’s just cut to the chase. The paragraph in question reads [emphasis mine]:

As with so many issues involving this president, the views of his aides often have little effect on what he actually says. On Thursday, for example, a senior White House official told reporters that even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.
Trump saw this and it angered him, because of all the senior White House officials he knew, he couldn’t imagine any of them saying this. A senior White House official saying it was impossible? No way.

    So Trump correctly tweeted:

The Failing @nytimes quotes “a senior White House official,” who doesn’t exist, as saying “even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.” WRONG AGAIN! Use real people, not phony sources.
After that, Fake News expressed great poutrage, insisting that in fact their beloved senior White House official DID exist, and that it was NOT phony news. Trump hater Louis Jacobson accused President Trump of lying, in his PolitiFake article, May 29th, 2018.

He explained that the senior White House official was Matthew Pottinger, and published what the White house press official had said [emphasis mine]

"This briefing’s going to be on background, off camera, not for broadcast. Pottinger here can be referred to as a senior White House official. He is deputy assistant to the president for Asia. And you can take it from here."
He also explained that Pottinger had not used the word ‘impossible’ as the New York Times had said, but decided that this didn’t matter.

In fact the New York Times (and all of Fake News, including PolitiFake) made two mistakes.

    1) Matthew Pottinger did not use the word ‘impossible’, so that was a mischievous misquote.
    2) Matthew Pottinger was not a senior White House official.

When Trump saw the New York Times paragraph, which read,

"As with so many issues involving this president, the views of his aides often have little effect on what he actually says. On Thursday, for example, a senior White House official told reporters that even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed,"
he was perfectly correct in saying:

"The Failing @nytimes quotes “a senior White House official,” who doesn’t exist, as saying “even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.” WRONG AGAIN! Use real people, not phony sources."
Indeed, since Pottinger is not a senior White House official, and since he did not say ‘impossible’, the ‘senior White House official’ was indeed invented by the failing New York Times.

    Once again, no lie.

Results for the Left so far:

    ZERO.

Another example of mischievous reporting is the “Pants-on-Fire” article by young Chris Nichols’, March 13, 2018, in PolitiFake, here.
    Chris writes:

    Here’s Trump’s full statement made March 13, 2018:

"For the people that say 'no wall,' if you had no walls over here, you wouldn’t have a country. The state of California is begging us to build walls in certain areas. They don’t tell you that. And we said no, we won’t do it until we build the whole wall."

That’s great Chris, except for one small detail. That isn’t what Trump said. Here is the transcript, which is reasonably accurate, but for exact wording listen to the video provided at that link. I have, and the exact quote is as follows:

But you know, for the people that say no wall, if you didn't have walls over here you wouldn't even have a country. You wouldn't even have a country. And by the way, the state of California is begging us to build walls in certain areas. They don't tell you that. And we said no, we won't do it until we build the whole wall. But there are certain areas as you know where they are really wanting us to build a wall, and... because the people are complaining; people are pouring in, so, y’know, they don't talk about that.
Here’s how that misquote would look if Chris Nichols left instructions for it:

Who is this magical "State of California" that "beg" for a wall??? As far as I know CA's governor gave Trump a proverbial middle finger.

That's a LIE. Trump can't prove that Harris SUPPORT MS-13. If he wasn't president, he would have been sued for defamation of character for yet another LIE. You, Trump, and this "fact checker" is extremely weak at logic.

    Patience.
While we're waiting for him to either succeed or fail in doing those things, do you have any evidence of a lie he told? If so, place it here. Not a Gish Gallop mind, or ranting off the top of your head. Just the details of the alleged lie (word for word) and a relevant link. Save the name calling, emotion, ranting for some other time. Just deliver the goods. Nobody else has - and I've been waiting a long time.

Why didn't he told the students? In English we say, "Why didn't he tell the students?"

Either things changed, as they often do in business, or Trump simply meant he handpicked them 'through' experts. Bill Gates might say in an advertisement, "I approved these new designs," when in fact he gave the job of approving the new designs to his trusted managers. In fact he did approve them 'through' his trusted managers. If you can't understand that process scale it down to your own body. You say you picked up an apple. Did you? Wasn't it your hand that picked the apple up? Yes? Then why did you say it was you? The answer is that you picked the apple up 'through' your hand or 'using' your hand. It's the same if you hired a killer to kill someone. Who killed them, you or the hired killer? In court you will be charged with first degree murder. The hired killer may get away with manslaughter, or second degree murder, especially on a plea, but you, you will be considered the prime murderer, even though you were ten thousand miles away when it happened. According to your logic, no, you couldn't be the murderer, but you're wrong. Just as Trump can do something through an expert, so too can you have someone killed through an expert.

Trump didn’t say “State” with a capital ‘S’. That was imagined by you. See this definition of ‘State’ vs ‘state’ in English grammar:

"State" with a capital letter refers specifically to a state's government or an agency acting in an official capacity on the state's behalf, while "state" with lower case letters refers to the geographic territory within the state boundaries.”

Trump said (relevant part in red), “And by the way, the state of California is begging us to build walls in certain areas. They don't tell you that. And we said no, we won't do it until we build the whole wall. But there are certain areas as you know where they are really wanting us to build a wall, and... because the people are complaining; people are pouring in, so, y’know, they don't talk about that.

It’s obvious he was talking about the people in different parts of the state. The mischievous gremlins in Fake News tried to pretend he was talking about the State government. You think he doesn't know the Californian State Government hate the idea of a wall? Come on, man! What the hell?

In English we say ‘supports’ with an ‘s’. Kamala Harris wants the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement law enforcement agency of the federal government of the United States abolished. Like many children of immigrants (her parents were Tamil Indian and Jamaican immigrants), she wants open borders, sanctuary and voting for illegals. MS-13 would applaud Kamala for wanting to shut ICE down, and if that’s not “support”, what is? Many illegal immigrants and Californian Democrats want ICE abolished. Kamala Harris is a Californian Democrat Senator, so duh, it’s pretty clear she’s on the same team.

Trump needs an interpreter for everything he say. I guess you can read his mind. Don't try to correct my English if you can't understand what he said.

If you look at Trump's comments and speeches, it's clear that his grammar is lacking. He requires a good bit of interpreting and man-splainin'. It's a shame that some imagine him as a kind of Cassandra, but with testicles for tonsils. The truth is, ill formed language comes from ill formed intellect--which reminds me of another lie: "I'm a genius."

There are so many of them, it would take a full time employee working 18 hours a day just to keep track of them. Why pick only one? Anyway, if you're a Trump devotee then nothing we cite as examples will make any difference. Trump supporters don't put any value on honesty or integrity. They adore aggressive, bullying behaviors as a sign of strength--similar to the Germans & Italians with Hitler & Mussolini in the 1930's. Hopefully they'll remain a minority, and the majority of us will replace Trump next round.

    Another Lefty:
The CBS News link you couldn’t find is here. I don’t see a lie but I do see Fake News. The quote above has been added to, edited and had sections cut out. The actual script, as you can verify in this video, can be seen below:

I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show, and everyone’s getting dressed, and ready, and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it. You know, I’m inspecting, I want to make sure that everything is good. ‘Is everyone okay?’ You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody okay?’ and you see these incredible looking women. And so, I sort of get away with things like that.

Once again, a note to explain these changes would look like this:

Rob, that note is a fake unless you can actually validate it's source. I could post a bunch of fake notes on the same site you got that from, and mine would be just as valid.
