Okay, so you're saying that health care isn't a right. Okay, got it now.

Your entire ideology is based on free-riding. Free college, free healthcare, free this, free that, all paid for by someone else. At least under my system, nobody is subject to force.

Its meaning is fairly straightforward and obvious, so I'm not sure why you're struggling to comprehend it. Perhaps some numbers will help you to understand:

So, if the bottom 50% of earners only pay 3% of federal income taxes, what do you think that implies about their usage of federally funded infrastructure and services?

I know you can figure this out. I have faith in you!

You’re a little slow on the uptake but eventually you get there.

Right, so none of us has any right to force others to provide us healthcare. Eventually we got there.

Who’s this “we” you are referring to? I’ve always held the position of being against a single payer Medicare for all system.
It might help you if you read what a person ACTUALLY posts versus what you THINK they post. Just food for thought. You’re welcome.

too many government programs merely distorts our "market based economy".

solving for simple poverty and letting markets arbitrage themselves to market friendly transactions is capitalism and more economical.

I was referring to you and me. We have arrived at the conclusion that none of us has the right to force others to provide us healthcare. Hence, Medicare and Medicaid are unjustifiable based upon our position.

Wrong again. If you’re not even going to try then you’re just a waste of my time. Step your game up or you will be dismissed accordingly. Understood?

I keep asking you to make a point, as if I didn't know what your point was. But let's be clear. I know what your point is. The reason you don't want to state is that it's ridiculous, of course.

But I know what the point of the extreme right is: they don't want to pay taxes. They want to use our socialist roads, our socialist judicial system, our socialist educational system, our socialist law enforcement and socialist military... they want all the advantage of our socialist system, but don't want to pay for them.

    Now that's theft.

A prompt judicial system, security, freedom of movement, civil protection, ...healthcare... they are all rights. Being a right doesn't mean they're free. We have to pay for them. We all do. Right wing extremists are the only ones who want them for free. Well guess what... you don't get them for free. You have to pay taxes.

But it's not true that you are forced to pay taxes. Nobody forces you to stay in this society. Go build your own society. There are many isolated uninhabited islands in the Pacific. Gather your like-minded folks and leave us alone. You'll be happy, and I can assure you we'll be happier too. There are many hard-working folks who would be glad to take your place trying to come here from all parts of the world. They won't mind paying taxes.

Hey.... what's this? A dual personality thing? Am I discussing with one poster with two different accounts? You say it's not difficult. Than you cut and paste it! You know where it is. I discussed it profusely with you. Unless it is one person with two accounts, and one of the personalities is tasked with playing "dumb"

There are more than 50 pages. So if this is not a dual-account thing, and you are really interested in your colleague getting what he's looking for.... you go ahead and search for it. I did my part: I wrote it.

:above::above::above::above: how cute. Pretends it doesn't know the difference between direct taxation and indirect taxation of income, especially progressive rate indirect taxation

They just want to complain about paying taxes while doing nothing about it. The epitome of laziness. There are tv shows about living off the grid. Lots of people choose this lifestyle. But of course, these people are doers. Unlike certain people in this thread who are all talk. Don’t want to pay taxes? Then build a cabin in some remote area and live off the land. As I said, there are many people who do this. Just get off your lazy a$$ and do it. They will be much happier in the end.

You will need to do a search. This is a 54 page thread. Already amply discussed.

If whatever point you are trying to make is not addressed in the following link, please feel free to make it.

I already addressed it, and thoroughly exposed it for the ridiculous concept that it was.

"Definition"? I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't given any definitions.

Time, place, circumstances.... everything that is objective. Not preferences, likes, ideologies, ... everything that is dependent on the subject taking the action. What part do you not understand?

No. I argue that ethics can depend on an universal objective moral standard. Which would make ethics objective.

Ethics could also depend on individual subjective morality. Which would make them subjective.

    And you make no arguments.
