Sweden? I wonder why you're such an advocate here. Or do you really just think that everyone else is too icky to deal with?

Not a scrap of credible scientific evidence supports that.

    And then there's Sweden...

    Sorry, thanks for playing!

When you gut and cut chickens there's damn sure no possibility of a sterile work environment. There is a possibility of a reasonably clean work environment for the kind of work being done.

    Huh?

Those countries are using strict social distancing and their infection rates AND death rates are far below ours.

Sweden is geographically identical to Norway and has ten times the death rate and more infections per capita

I don't know what game you think you're playing but you aren't very good at it

The game I'm -not- playing is cherry-picking by omitting Sweden's death numbers (2274) in a country of 10+ million doing little mitigation. That's all you. Including those numbers exposes the truth that this seasonal infection is not anything special unlike originally advertised. The models were wrong. The End.

We all (rational adults anyway) knew already that seasonal flu and flu-like illnesses kill lots of old people. That's just the way it is, no way to change that. The purpose for all the mitigation and illegal lockdowns was that models predicted too much demand for beds and equipment. The models were wrong, irrefutably wrong, and no amount of howling and screeching you do will change that.

So, to repeat, the best course, grounded in WELL-DOCUMENTED SCIENCE and not made up HOODOO of career BUREAUCRATS and TDS, is for healthy people under 70 to get out of the house, get sunlight and fresh air, supplement the diet if needed with C, Zinc, D/K, A, Omega3. Even sick, old people who have private space available should get out of the house and into some sun. Then those who are able need to get to WORK, SCHOOL and whatever they were doing that isn't wasting away in a quarantine.

The ridiculous experiment of quarantining healthy people to the cost of TRILLIONS of $$ and maybe as many as MILLIONS of lives needs to end YESTERDAY.

    But you ARE aren't you?

You're cherry picking Sweden and failing even THERE.
Norway. Half the cases of Sweden and one TENTH the number of deaths. Per capita...lower infection rate and 1/5 the number of deaths.

What scientific study shows that as effective pandemic response...

    None?

    Zero?

    Oh

Did I quote enough of your horse **** rant?

Liberals don't want it to end. They want to cripple the economy and destroy wealth because it advances their political positions. Its pretty despicable and they will deny it vehemently but its transparent to anyone willing to look.

Well to be honest whats preventing any of what you say from happening now, Go out with a mask, essential workers are in demand, and companies need to provide their employees with the proper PPE..that takes time to procure. The time is NOT yesterday.

They seem to want it to end more then you do..some guys want it to relapse, and perpetuate forever, by ending social distancing restrictions too early. Dunno who some are lobbying for, but its not gonna work.

I am torn on this. Even as stupid as they are, creatures who can use language and computers could not be as stupid as to believe that when the private sector is demolished and the tax base is demolished, that whatever welfare, social security, pension, savings (as if), disability, daddy's money or whatever is sustaining their lives financially is just going to magically replenish while the real economy burns in chaos. No literate human could be that benighted.

So my conclusion is that the hysteria is a temporary ruse by shills for ballot harvesting: Soros entities, Brock entities, foreign national entities, public unions, PACS, lobbies, MSM, other rotten tributaries of the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex, and not any kind of legitimate, sincere opinion that any real people of any political beliefs hold.

I'm old school. I still tend to think of most people as "reasonable" and "intelligent". But I must admit that I can't even begin to count the number of times I've been disappointed in the last three years.

NOT GOOD: Tyson Foods chairman warns that ‘the food supply chain is breaking’: In recent weeks, the poultry producer has temporarily suspended operations at plants across the country.

This needs immediate attention, but it also calls into question the wisdom of having a relatively small number of huge processing plants staffed by cheap, often illegal, immigrant labor.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has a deregulation plan that would let farmers bypass a lot of middlemen to reach consumers more directly.

The legislation would make it possible for farmers to use existing infrastructure to provide food directly to consumers and grocery stores. Cosponsors already include Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate.
Time for Patriotic Legislators, on both sides, who love Americans, to step up and immediately get this done!

The majority of food regulations have had little to do with safety and plenty to do with crony capitalism. Government has inserted itself, as it is wont to do, in the affairs of private companies, farmers, distributors, sellers, and consumers.

After seeing the behavior of the “resistance” these past four years, words like reasonable and intelligent , are the last thing that comes to mind.

Would you have boarded a 777 right after the flaw that brought down several airliners was discovered because the death rate was not comparable to the flu?

Let me tell you, though. The current numbers will easily double. More than double. And the statistical probability that you will be among those may be somewhere in the lower half. But the probability that most of those who die will be morons who were convinced by somebody like you to go out because "the number of dead is comparable to the seasonal flu" is very high.

The saddest part is that it will also include those who were not convinced by such idiotic argument, but were unlucky enough to come in contact with somebody who did.

Simply not true. Some of it went to the wrong places like public companies and universities. That is to be expected with a government program. Nothing federal government does really works as intended.

What does college education have to do with shutting down the economy. Any fool with political power can do that.

They got shut down because a large number of workers got the virus. I can find nothing where they violated any rule.

There’s nothing idiotic about it. You do NOT shut down the ENTIRE economy because of a virus with a .05% death rate. That’s patently absurd
