Yes, and hydroxychloroquine is used for controlling the parasites of Malaria, Covid-19 is a virus not a parasite.

Ivermectin was also considered an anti-parasitic drug, but now has shown tremendous success against SARS and perhaps other virus and disease. Here is the full story: Ivermectin, Covid-19, and Why It Could Be Miraculous - LewRockwell

The fact that the vaccines are hugely beneficial does require us to dismiss the possibility that hydroxychloroquine might offer some benefit.
I've had my two Pfizer shots.

I'm very much on topic, right smack square in the middle of the bullseye.
They were wrong. You were wrong. The drug is very effective against the virus. Did you read the opening post? You seem to have completely lost your way in the discussion. Once again, Trump was right. Further, the Fake News, Fact Checkers, and Social Media declared the issue "settled", "debunked" and Facebook and Twitter restricted the ability to comment on it as they declared it "misinformation" and they too were all wrong.

Nothing more clearly illustrates the danger of having a small group of extremist morons with the power to control not just national but international discussions. Hydroxychloroquine increases survival rates, that is, there are folks that needlessly die when "woke" clowns interfere with the free flow of information because they arrogantly decide that what benefits them politically is the only thing that can be "true".
    And, Navarro was right.
And this little evil lying clown was wrong.
You owe him an apology and us a retraction.
Disagreement is common and proper. The problem is when a group of ignorant fools arrogantly declare their wrong view to be "true" and all others "disinformation" to be suppressed. If you take nothing else from this experience, learn that you aren't always right and hold your views more tentatively, showing the humility that understands that folks who disagree with you may have a point, and as in this case, turn out to be the ones who were correct.
Because Trump is right, it is you describing an effective treatment as "quackery" that is wrong here.
I hope you have learned from this. The answer to free speech you disagree with is MORE free speech, it is never censorship.

We as a society have a centuries long commitment to Free Speech that has served us well. Walkway from this impulse to censor and silence others with the firm recognition that censorship and silencing of others is dangerous, counterproductive and morally wrong.

"After information was released yesterday that hydroxychloroquine can increase the survival rate of patients diagnosed with COVID-19, a sad, forlorn Brian Stelter was forced to shuffle over to the "Days Since Trump Was Proven Right" counter and reset it to zero once again."

I'll certainly do my best and thank you for the encouragement!

The parody contained more truth than the Left's position on HDX. This why the folks on the Left that desire the power of censorship cannot be allowed to silence others. And frankly, shame on them for doing it.

That has been rescinded last I heard due to higher death rates among those treated

You don't know fact from official fictions.

In fact the shots are dangerous. By way of VAERS and European sources, thousands have died and many more have been maimed. VAERS has seen more deaths and adverse events from these shots than in its entire lifespan.

The long term effects remain to be seen because this experiment is only several months old.

I see that I committed a serious typographical error. My text should have read:

"The fact that the vaccines are hugely beneficial does not require us to dismiss the possibility that hydroxychloroquine might offer some benefit.
I've had my two Pfizer shots."

No what has proven that HCQ offers no benefit are the randomised controlled trials

We shall see. I take no position (and never did) on HCQ's efficacy. But recent backtracking on earlier dismissals of the COVID lab leak hypothesis suggests to me that there's room for further inquiry.

Early on, the dosage was all over the place as was the timing for administration. The original link has a link to the actual study, take a look. Understand they are not claiming HCQ as a CURE, just another treatment that seems to have favorable results under certain dosages.

There has been no trials in which a per reviewed test was reviewed for approval.

Is this “study” a double blinded controlled trial?

No, it’s an “observational study”. Actual results and treatments were compared and statistically analyzed. I believe the first post has a link you can trace to read the actual study report.

Until it’s findings and recommendations are followed. But HCQ = Trump and Trump = “Orange man bad”, right?

Fine, suit yourself. Seem like I saw some strong criticisms of thie Brazilian test a while back. Not worth my time to find it, however.

That is NOT how medicine works. The ideal is to use a meta analysis of research founded on a systematic review if that has not been done then you rely on RCTs - usually there are multiple RCTs. These were carried out - remember this is a global phenomenon and not confined to North America. We were even going to research it here in Australia until we ran out of subjects due to effective quarantine and contact tracing.

If it worked do you not think India would have used it?
