Natural immunity. Someone may not have received an injection, but if they've had COVID and survived, they are in better shape then someone who has received an 'artificial stimulant' of the injection.

Labels are a sad thing to see. Your assumption that anyone who doesn't get an injection is an 'anti-vaxxer/Trumper' just shows a limited understanding of why some people have declined to get the injection. And many of them never voted for Trump, and attempts at pigeon-holing people falls under 'leave your paintbrush at home'.

And for the record, it isn't the people who have declined the injection that are damaging the economy. Think about who kept the economy on life support, the essential workers, that kept people supplied with the necessities of life. It wasn't the people who lived in fear of the virus, cowered in their homes and expected their groceries to magically appear, or that video game to turn up in their mailbox. It wasn't those who attended birthing women, that saved lives in emergencies, or supplied the vital drugs for those who needed them.

Think about it for a while. Perhaps you may alter your view, even a little, when you realize who kept the economy going, and who the people are that have declined the injection.

The problem with "natural immunity" is its variability and protection against variants. Some people are protected well, others not well at all. Given that, its hardly surprising legit studies have found there's a 50% less chance of reinfection with a single dose of an mRNA covid vaccine.

I made no such assumption, but the people threatening the economy are anti-vaxxers and Trumpers. The son-in-law of friends who is allergic to an incredible amount of foods, pollens, etc. has been advised by doctors not to get vaccinated despite being obese and having a wife who had colon cancer and has been on chemo. He's not the problem.

If everyone who can safely get vaccinated did, we could stop the pandemic and get back our economy.

Unless you can convince people they should ignore their covid risk, including risk to friends and family, damage to the economy will continue. We have significant pullback on spending on services here ("places with faces") and a 25% increase in imports from China. I'm an economist watching a slowmo train wreck of our economy reminiscent of the ideology and stupidity of the early 1930s.

It's not about who kept (and keeps) goods and services flowing, but about reduced spending on much of what we produce (services).

This can't continue much longer.
