Saying stuff like "many marriages" is irrelevant to abortion rights. What "many" do is not justification for ignoring everyone else. The fact that common behavior in the past is also irrelevant. The bottom line today is that society is as it is today. If you want to reduce the number of abortions, then ASK women why they choose abortion. From there, HELP in ways that make women to be more likely to be comfortable with carrying embryos to term That's likely to mean helping women to be confident that they will have adequate healthcare for themselves as well as for their pregnancies - like they do not have today. It's likely to mean that struggling to meet rent, food, daycare, etc., is relieved, and that employment isn't lost due to pregnancy, etc., etc. There are known reasons women choose pregnancy. Figure out what there needs are, and solve them. And, remember that Canada has NO RESTRICTIONS on abortion, yet a smaller percentage of women in Canada choose abortion. Thinking that laws against women is somehow necessary is just plain STUPID. Plus, it's totally immoral to rally the government to go after women.
Picture never came up on my phone, but please don't tell me you are going to pull out a Sanger lie. The woman was deathly opposed to abortion for anything other than saving a woman's life.
That was her public image. Back then, few people would have openly supported abortion. Likely few people would have taken her seriously if she had told them what she really hoped could happen.

Got to once I got home. False equivalency is still false equivalency no matter where it comes from. My answer to him is which black life means more, the unborn offspring or the already born woman.
Heh heh, of course not. The U.S. was cultured by the British, Spanish, African slaves, and Native American Indians I guess... while Canada I believe was mostly cultured by the French. Though French did also culture parts of the U.S. as well. Certainly though, the two countries have different values. In the U.S. we value stuff like life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, hot dogs, freedom fries, and contravening principles. And Canada on the other hand values French Fries, French Toast, Waffles, and um... probably hockey or some other weird sport like that...
The point is that we CAN learn some things from Canada. We can see how they ensure that their full population can receive healthcare, and at a lower cost than our own healthcare system. We can see how various factors combine to result in lower abortion rate. etc.
I have no problems studying and learning from other countries. As long as you and others understand that just because something works elsewhere DOES NOT mean it is sure to work in the U.S.
My point is that in general, the religious right is NOT INTERESTED in helping. They demand that we use the force of government through laws against women, whether these laws are the only choice or not, whether they work or not, whether they leave women in HORRIBLE situations or not. Jesus would be seriously uninterested in such tactics, as demonstrated by his life and his statements to Christians, such as those recorded by Matthew in chapter 25:31 to end.
Doesn't mean it won't....the "culture" of pregnant Canadian women is the culture of all women..... BUT maybe Canada knows how to take care of the poor so they don't need so many abortions..

Then all you have to do is prove me wrong AND YOU still haven't shown why YOU introduced your opinion that Canadian women are a separate species from other women LOL... Or how pregnant Canadian women are different from other pregnant women. YOU BROUGHT IT UP FIRST.
Black men? Not black women? Seriously? Maybe you should consider stepping away from your electronic device and read a book. Or two. I recommend something educational on our constitution. There are several good books written by non-partisan constitutional experts on constitutional law, written so that non-lawyers like us can grasp the concepts of various historical decisions. You could even find a shorter book that discusses the constitutional law surrounding the Roe v Wade decision. Google is our friend.
