Actually, I'm not sure that's what @Izzy meant. I think that she genuinely believes, for whatever reason, that Liz is a rock solid true to the core conservative. And this is what she meant by "SUPER conservative." But you could be right too. @Izzy has yet to respond.
In what context were they asked who organised the meeting? Press conference or something? Can you link to any articles which discuss them being asked this question and their lack of an answer?
That I didn’t know about. Like most political pundits, prognosticators, I took DeSantis running for granted. So, we’ll see. I don’t see Haley being able to unseat Trump, Pence, no. Pompeo no also. You know a lot more about Republican politics, what’s the chances of a Sununu entering the race? New Hampshire governors are for 2 years instead of 4. He’ll either have to run for a 5th 2 year term then or perhaps, maybe, enter the presidential nomination race.
I would say opposition research. But no legal investigation as from the DOJ and state AG or DA’s. I’m sure the Democrats will dig up every little misstep or indiscretion going back to kinder garden on DeSantis. That’s has become normal SOP. Although both major parties do this, whatever they find means little to nothing to swing voters or independents. Regardless of what is found, Democrats will vote for their candidate, Republicans for theirs. I would say stuff like this change hardly anyone’s mind. It only makes Democrats more hard core haters of Republicans or DeSantis in this case, but that’s is irrelevant as they’d never vote for DeSantis anyway.
That is true, but it didn't 'become normal', it has always been the name of the game. In the early years of the US, the candidates and their parties came up with all kinds of slander to smear their opponents.
Very true. But the era I grew up in, it was non-existent. Maybe it was there in the 1950’s and 60’s. But with no internet, no social media, just 3 TV stations newspapers and radio, it stayed hidden. Then too back then the candidates ran their campaigns without all these pacs and super pacs running all these very negative personal attack ads. Campaign reform seems to me as making the situation much worse.
There are many different kinds of conservatives. I would classify Cheney more of a traditional conservative than a neo-conservative or a social, religious conservative or even a fiscal conservative among many. Perhaps Cheney, Romney, a few other prominent Republicans fall into this traditional conservative faction of the GOP. I do think traditional conservatism is dying much like the classic liberalism is dead in today’s Democratic Party.
Traditional conservatism and classic liberalism are alive and well in bother parties, even though the populist movement is more prominent in GOP people like "the squad" are present in Dem party. IMO both parties will return to their roots soon enough. Maybe someone like Romney or Cheney is the key for "returning to sanity" and maybe Pelosi's departure is a new beginning for for Dems.
He's acting like he's running but he's certainly not going to lead a counter-revolution to the Left's culture wars. He looks like more of the 'grumble and surrender' type that we already have plenty of.
You seriously don't know that Cheney is a very-very ,extremely (super) Conservative politician, especially on social issues. That hasn't changed. That she's not a Trump supporter after J6 and voted to impeach him at his 2nd impeachment does not change Cheney's politics.
Illegal drop boxes. Statistical improbabilities and even impossibilities. Crowd sizes at campaign events. Election laws violated. Covering up the windows where votes are being counted. "COVID" rules to keep poll observers away from properly watching over the counting/adjudication/etc of ballots. Geolocation of people visiting a handful of different drop boxes and dropping off a handful of ballots into them. Ballots later found laying around instead of delivered to proper location for tabulating. Voting machines "mysteriously" going down on election day, when it is known that the majority of voters trying to vote are conservatives. Stopping the counting of the vote in several states at the same time, when Trump was well ahead in the count, then later resuming count and Trump "losing" all those states, all by "razor slim margins". Thousands of affidavits of irregularities, improper behavior, no chain of custody for ballots, etc etc etc And that's only a small start. Ignoring the existence of all of this evidence does not make it go away.
You best tell Nikki to chop/chop because everyone's waiting. Your post # 21 "Nikki Haley doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell." "She is only in the race as a puppet "attack dog" for the RINO Party establishment so that they can use her to attack Trump." "Hannity: What specific policy areas would you say part with Donald Trump? Haley: What I am saying is I don't kick sideways, I'm kicking forward.. I’m not going to kick sideways.. I’m kicking forward'
every above silly accusation has been investigated and debunked...again and again and again this is an example of denying the truth an facts trump was in charge the entire time of the recounts..IF he could have proven any of these accusations, he would have and some accusations are irrelevant...for example, crowd size at rallies trumps rallies had no substance and all entertainment ...kinda like a Weird Al Yankovich show a Weird Al show will outsell most classical piano recitals.
So Nikki's platform is forget about the past and look forward even though she offers no solutions. Her age-related competency tests mean **** unless they're livestreamed and term limits are DOA. She is entertaining with her self-serving political shallowness not wanting to piss off Trump with any substance. 'Nikki Haley begins Iowa caucuses courtship, tells those considering Trump to 'look forward' Snips: "The answer came after Haley opened her event in Urbandale to audience questions. West Des Moines Republican activist Gary Leffler asked Haley why Iowans who supported Trump in the past should caucus for her instead. “Because I don't think you have to be 80 years old to be in D.C.,” Haley responded quickly, generating applause." “President Trump is my friend. I think he was the right president at the right time,” Haley continued. “He came in. He broke the things that needed to be broken, and he fixed them. And I was proud to serve in his cabinet. But as dire of a situation as this is, as much as all the media and everybody wants to talk about the past, we need to leave the status quo in the past. We've got work to do. We've got to look forward.” Continuing to talk about Trump, Haley said the problems facing America are “bigger than a person.” “And so what I'm telling you is we need to make sure that we've got the energy, the power and the ability to bring more people in that will see that our solutions are the right ones,” she said, subtly suggesting that Trump has alienated members of the party that Republicans will need in order to win in 2024." https://www.desmoinesregister.com/s...ing-donald-trump-to-look-forward/69877045007/
You think a question of any sort of importance would actually get asked at a press conference? I've just seen twitter interactions between curious people and the people involved at the meeting. This is the type of attitude that Dave Rubin had when responding to the question of who invited him and the others: https://twitter.com/RubinReport/status/1601230098082201601
Nikki Haley was the governor of South Carolina. You didn't search a damn thing. Typical lying demorat.
Nope. No court has ever heard any case based on merits. The media hasn't been the slightest bit curious about it, just deeming those claims to be made "without evidence" (while ignoring the existence of said evidence). Irrelevant. Trump (with a capital T, no matter how much you've been manipulated to hate the man) was President, not overseeing ballot counting in all precincts across all States. You seem to think the President is capable of an awful lot while Trump was in there, but when Biden gets installed in there, he doesn't even have enough power in his feeble body and forgetful mind to even affect gas prices via his energy policies. Completely relevant. It shows enthusiasm and support. When one candidate is drawing in crowds of tens of thousands and the other candidate is drawing in basically nobody, that's evidence of who has more support. You've never been to or watched one of them then, because you are dead wrong about that. A Taylor Swift show will outsell any Weird Al show. So?
That may be. But I see Sununu as having the better chance of winning in the general election than Trump or perhaps others. First on must win an election before any changes one way or the other can take place. It does no good to run your perfect candidate, the counter revolution candidate if he can’t win the general election. Just ask, Tshibaka, Mastriano, Oz, Bolduc, Cox, Diehl, Walker, Lake, Masters, Laxalt if those are your counter revolutions candidates to the left’s culture wars. I probably forgot a bunch more. I’ve always been keen on the candidates that can win in November. Winning in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June, those wins become meaningless unless one wins in Nov. Hence, I think the Republicans will dismiss candidates with the better chance at winning in Nov for a candidate who can only win in Feb-June. That’s my opinion, time will tell if I’m right or wrong. Call it a gut feeling back up by some early numbers.
