So what circumstances would you be for abortion?

Nope and it sure is hard to get you to say what they are....

LOL, what an ego.....no, with all your evasions and non-answers , I don't know.
Like, why couldn't you just state what your exceptions are here ???? ;) I know why...;)
ANOTHER dodge....I never said it was and YOU are just avoiding addressing Probably...but they are also hypocrites....either abortion is "murder", (taking an innocent life) or it isn't.......they can't have it both ways because they FEEEEEEEL like it...

Now you can dance and DODGE and AVOID answering with """"oh , gosh , what does this word mean, what does that word mean, define ""the" """""

and other nonsense which shows you have no answer...

Why would you make an exception to abortion if the fetus was a product of rape?

Is 'rape' one of my exceptions? Oh, but I thought that you didn't know what my exceptions are.

Then why did you ask me about my rape exception in your very next post? (Post #4977) Clearly you are just playing juvenile games.

Then what did you mean by: "murder", (taking an innocent life)?"

Again, you weren't talking about rape. Although, in another conversation thread, we were talking about it.

    False

The same inability of legislatures to make medical decisions is applicable in all cases. Calling out rape in particular is just one case of the same issue.

No, NOT false! You WERE NOT talking about rape! And you weren't talking about legislatures either! You weren't talking about rape, and you weren't talking about legislatures! ONCE AGAIN, you said:

You can't separate the various medical questions like you want to.

It IS about legislatures and what they can and can not do in terms of making the medical decisions that doctors are trained to make.

Legislatures can't tell whether a rape occurred, for example. The only person who knows if a rape occurred is the woman who was raped.

The simple fact is that RAPE was not mentioned in what you said, but yet @FoxHastings thought that it was about rape.

Do I actually have to say that in every post I write?

Can you not remember that from one post to the next?

Surely after months of your posts here, and the responses of numerous individuals you can remember the basic points in this thread.

If you can't by now quote the arguments supportive of a woman's right to personal healthcare, you are simply failing.

No, a fetus becomes a "kid" and legal person at birth...before birth it is a fetus.

I know there are some late term abortions being performed. I am ok with banning abortions after clear viability unless the medical situation demands otherwise.

I appreciate your opinion here. That doesn't solve the problem, though.

The problem includes that prosecutors may not view a particular decision the same way that a patient and her doctor view the decision.

Medical decisions often involve assessments that are not black and white. In fact, a prosecutor may be able to find another doctor who doesn't agree with the assessment that led to the decision.

The result of this focus on legislators prescribing healthcare is that doctors have to cover their asses against possible prosecutors who are very much NOT doctors and who do have personal views.

I think prosecuting abortion issues should rate right below the priority of tracking down dogs that aren't wearing collars

It's tough to moderate. These laws are a compromise. There are a lot of people who want OB/GYN to be closely monitored and abortion prosecuted whenever there is a possibility of doing so.

And those late term abortions are overwhelmingly done for foetal abnormality incompatible with life

    (((Sigh)))

This does not even happen in Canada which has no laws restricting abortion. What does occasionally happen in around 1% of cases is that the foetus is found to be non-viable eg an organ failed to develop like the brain or the lungs. If there is any chance the baby would suffer women may choose termination however some will carry to term. It is very very much an individual decision and heartbreaking no matter what
