One of the more obtuse posts was about not needing an education for the IT world. :)

I know someone who expressed a preference for hiring 18 and 19 year old Mormon young men. He's not very religious himself, many might describe him as almost an atheist, but he knows that Mormon men have a work ethic and reputation for integrity.
He was a high power attorney who had a big corporate office and had made the decision to purchase a small sized roofing company that had maybe 12 employees. He was looking for some young men to go around neighborhoods and identify homes that looked like they might need roof work.
He had no Mormon family background, and I don't think he's a very moral person, but he's always on the lookout for ways to try to get more money.

    Do tell which one?
If you have trouble finding work with the left in charge, you arnt gonna stand a chance if the right gains power. Thats the worst time to be selling labor.

When they want to start making real money, come on down to local 26.

By which one, I mean which policy were you talking about?
It canceled out before I could finish, but here is leftist policy. From the link above.

    "
As of June 5, 2023 the rate of pay for an individual who completes the 5-year apprenticeship program and becomes a journeyman electrician in Local Union 26 will be:

    $53.00/hr. plus
    Paid Benefits

An apprentice who completes the apprenticeship program with the Local 26 JATC is also eligible for 60 college credits through the American Council on Education. These credits have been set up through the NJATC. The Local 26 JATC also has an articulation agreement with Montgomery College, Prince George’s County Community College, College of Southern Maryland. This would afford an individual the opportunity to work towards achieving a Bachelors degree."

One of my kids is a pipeline welder and the other is a diesel mechanic.

Which Leftist policies are creating more jobs for those two trades?...lol

The Democrat agenda wants to destroy both of those trades.

Just wondering, can you quote a Democrat who wants to destroy jobs for welders and diesel mechanics?

Pipeline welders. Don't take my comments out of context...

"A dozen Democrats in the US House of Representatives have urged President Joe Biden to issue an executive order banning any federal permitting of new carbon dioxide pipelines and related infrastructure until safety regulation are in place."

    https://www.upstreamonline.com/carb...rder-pausing-co2-pipeline-permits/2-1-1528831

"The Biden administration is giving states and tribes more authority to block certain projects, like pipelines that run through their waters, on water quality grounds."

    https://thehill.com/policy/energy-e...es-more-authority-to-block-pipeline-projects/

"Democrat members of the House Natural Resources Committee are pushing for a permanent ban on all offshore oil and gas leasing in Atlantic and Pacific federal waters as well as the eastern Gulf of Mexico, the Oil and Gas Journal reports, citing a forum that took place on Wednesday."

    https://preprod82.oilprice.com/Ener...nt-Permanent-Ban-On-Offshore-Oil-Leasing.html

"Joe Biden’s administration, seeking deep cuts to planet-heating emissions, is facing pressure to take a previously unthinkable step: declare the end of the internal combustion engine in the US"

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/apr/30/biden-administration-cars-emissions

...now, tell us about all those jobs Democrats are creating...lol

Oh, I didn't know that welders' only available jobs were to work on oil pipelines that were only in the planning stage and never existed. But, thanks for admitting that you don't have quotes where Democrtas are claiming they want to destory welders' jobs.

And yet, the trades are still hiring, and looking for workers. Data centers require massive cooling situations, and with legalization botany is booming.
Sounds like a buncha failed speculation and fear mongering to me as you continue to ignore my leftest policy link

You asked to point out evidence that Democrats are trying to destroy the pipeline welding and diesel mechanic trades. There you go.

Lose the pipeline welding jobs and that fewer welders that are needed. And, those are welding jobs. You asked how Democrats were trying to kill welding jobs. There you go.

.... welding pipelines doesn't limit you to oil ones only. There are a multitude of pipeline welding needs that don't necessitate the need for oil in the equation.

Read the very first link I posted and then refer back to my point about fewer welding jobs means fewer welders that are needed.

Well your first post was "The Democrat agenda wants to destroy both of those trades."

This is a far cry from 'fewer jobs'.

Also, it appears that Oil and Nat Gas amounts to 1.81% of the welding/cutters/solderers/braizers industry.

Well by that same token completed projects leads to fewer jobs, wtf.

What a petty position, have fun with that noise. "Dont vote democrat, projects will get completed." Sounds like you think oil is the ultimate long term project, screw future generations huh?

Renewables is the ultimate long term project gimme a break. Botany...diesel, come on!

That's why there needs to be more projects, without the Democrats trying to shut them down.

You brought it up with, "And yet you vote republican, Why?"...lol

You asked why. I explained why.

Except republican policy has cost the trades far more then 7000 welding jobs the oil industry premises.

Policies that reduce safety, for profit.

Radical Right Republican Freedom Caucus plan: Kill OSHA
May 2, 2023 10:41 AM CDT By Mark Gruenberg
    https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/radical-right-republican-freedom-caucus-plan-kill-osha/

Edit: So a trend chart does not exist, and id be the first to create one for Trades jobs, and rate of employment per presidential term...Im not doing that. You can if you want to go through the effort to prove yourself wrong.

hint: Democrats are good for the trades, the trends will show it to you.
