That's just patently false. The opposite is actually the case. Just because colleges have a set curriculum doesn't mean they aren't designed to not only expand your knowledge but your ability to think on your feet ... so to speak.
Most college student's are at a very impressionable age and, if they attend college and go through the motions and just do enough to meet the minimum requirements then they won't get full value of college. On the other hand IF they engage and apply themselves to "their" maximum then it will be an expansive experience. But grades usually reflect if a student attended college or studied the subject matter and got the most out of it.

That's why some employers prefer 3.0 ~ 3.5 student's over 4.0 student's. they want achievers but don't want to put up with an egg head. On the other hand for research and advanced program type employment ... that's who seeks the 4.0 student.

It's not false, it's absolutely true. Our colleges refuse go actually create an environment that is conducive with teaching kids how to think critically and instead WHAT to think. They crush dissenters.

The vast majority of students simply don't utilize their degrees either because their degree isn't useful or even the job they get only wanted one as a check box

"OUR COLLEGES" are a lot of various diffuse organizations. I went to one that "actually created an environment that is conducive with teaching kids how to think critically". You're making assumptions based on your personal agenda ... as usual.

You are projecting, as if you don't have an agenda.

My agenda is a better, smarter world. Colleges aren't creating that with the close minded environment they push.

My agenda is standing up for truth, and the truth is college's are not thought oppressors, quite the contrary.

And this is the New Democrat mentality. Even Hillary blew off the jobs that would have been lost due to her policies in the mining industry.

Oliver Anthony said it best when he wrote the line. “I wish politicians would look out for miners
And not just minors on an island somewhere”

Producing doesn’t help welders. But it does some other jobs no doubt, including mine. However his policies have still slowed the free market of these jobs.

Bill Gates doesn’t have a degree. He’s a college dropout.

I have to endorse that. The objective of going to College is supposed to be developing advanced knowledge and skills. We are seeing people who go to get a piece of paper that is supposed to get them higher incomes. We have a situation where a lot of people who did this borrowed money to get the degree, but often chose the easiest and least challenging subjects- and wound up without the skills needed to earn those higher salaries. Value doesn't come from having the symbol, but a combination of the skills and the capacity to perform- and provide value. Best engineer we ever found had no degree, but spent years doing aeronautical electronic engineering for the big name airplane builders... and having his boss, who had a degree but limited the skill, get the credit. I'm like you; performance is where the value is. The money is earned with that performance, not the diploma. More companies are realizing this and adjusting policies.
