I think you are misunderstanding the concept of karma. Typically negative actions will grant you negative karma while positive actions will grant you positive karma.

If I am opposed to using fear to coerce people to believing a particular idea, that is a positive attribute. I do not see a negative effect here unless you feel that invoking some ancient book into scaring people is necessary. Do not deny it, it is too late. You have already posted such verses pertaining to severe judgment for the disbelief in the super nature. To me, a subscription to such a belief is a "sin". Passing harsh judgement yourself, which by your own inflexible doctrine, is a sin.

When I volunteer for the fire department, that is a positive attribute.

When I help my neighbors, that is a positive attribute.

When I treat others with respect and treat my employees as equals, that is a positive attribute.

The only negative attribute I can imagine, in your point of view anyway, is my dismissal of your beliefs. You take it personally. It is not, however personal. You could enlighten yourself and post tomorrow that you have forsaken harsh judgement and eternal punishment for rejecting the "holy spirit" and taken up a secular pint of view of things and I certainly wouldn't continue to direct negative posts towards you. Or any tolerant and compassionate belief really. Its a matter of the beliefs that you are defending, if you cannot handle the questioning and dismissal of such beliefs, then perhaps internet forums are not your thing.

You seem to focus on 'fear,' as in fear of punishment.

Like a rebellious, bratty child acting out, and then not expecting any discipline for their actions. you demand the same.

And so for 'mature adults' who are rebellious and also acting out that rebellion, shudnt they also expect consequences or discipline for their behavior also?

So when a just God, having warned thru the prophets and thru both the oral & written word, as a responsible authority figure, rightly gives out suitable & predictable discipline?

Sorry, but your fears as a bratty adult are well founded...

I like how you ignored everything except for one bit. I do not fear such punishment (as I have said many times, but yet you invoke the same tried and old conspiracy theory) because it does not exist. Punishment only exists in the human world.

So if I work on the "sabbath", am I being bratty?

And you nit-pick at the scriptures to find ones that you can wield in the defense of a subconscious that is fearful of retribution for the decisions that you have made in life. Fear doesnt motivate me, but the love of God and His grace. I have a clear conscious, since I know that when I stumble in life (havnt reached perfection nor will in this life) , I have a "faithful & just advocate to forgive my bad decisions and cleanse me of all unrighteousness."

And you have...just 'denial' of consequences, so as to satisfy your fearful subconscious.

BTW, havnt been 'convicted' by the Holy Spirit so far for the posts that I have written today....so you can 'take them all to the bank,' as they say.

While I enjoy your conspiracy theories, they are always highly inaccurate.

If I work on the sabbath am I being bratty?

Exactly! Don't let non-christians tell you how you should act as a Christian. Keep on truckin' the way you have because you're doing great. Remember that even Elijah mocked the priests of baal as they tried for hours to get their god to set fire to the altar. Elijah wasn't trying to convince the priests, he was using parody to convice the crowd of Israelites watching so that they can see the folly of idolatry and turn from it.

    Drive on!

Good idea. Then even if you are right, and Christianity IS the only path to salvation, you will go to hell as well, because even though you professed belief in Christianity, you spent your whole life acting in direct opposition to everything Christianity stands for.

I think the version of quote "Christianity" that you would like is that of being a door mat, a wimp lashed to a whipping post, a jelly-legged spineless nerd; as opposed to one who follows a man who chased the profiteers away with a whip or the one who verbally put the dead, religious leaders of His time, who accused Him of being a glutton & drunkard for 'hanging' with the common folks, in their place with words of judgement. Sorry, real Christianity isnt the vanilla, pasty-white preachers on TV who hide in a church bldgs, but it is made up of those wearing the full armor of God, who get out into the battle with hateful, accusatory, name-calling, antiChrist ppl that point fingers at them when standing up for righteousness just as the faithless ppl of the past have so done for 2000 yrs. So, you're nobody new, just an updated version of the 'mockers & scoffers' that were around back then. Your cliche fiery darts but bounce off those who are 'bold in the Lord' and know who they are in Christ...

No, that is the religion you have made up. Many deranged individuals take an established religion, and then distort it to meet their already deranged conceptions of how the world should be.

The heart of Christianity, the sermon on the mount, includes this.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

So yes, in fact Christianity does call for pushovers. At least in actions. Not spiritually of course. Christianity calls for people to be spiritually strong, but it calls for just about the opposite of the gibberish you just spouted. What you described is not Christianity. It is your own moral code, that you have chosen to superimpose onto Christianity to give it some legitimacy. Christianity is incompatible with your current moral code. Either you must change, or you better hope we atheists are right, because your current anti-Christian beliefs won't lead to heaven any more than an atheism will.

Let's balance the Beatitudes out with spiritual warfare, as in:

    Ephesians

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. [atheistic attacks?]

13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

    15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

NOTE: there is no rear protection in God's armor; i.e. we dont retreat!

As you can see, my warfare on this forum is spiritual,' using scripture; and as far as I know, I havnt drawn any blood (other than atheistic ire & anguish) or killed anyone. And again per the scriptures, "The Kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."

And so your version of milk-toast warfare is what you would like, so as to make beating up Christians much easier; but as they say down south, "It dont warsh."

BTW, I'm still waiting for you to call Jesus a hypocrite for doing the things I posted while quoting the Beatitudes...you going to give Him a free pass while you point your finger at me?!

You quoted the madman Paul(Saul) to contradict the words of Jesus? Get the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of here. Jesus's words are binding, and he is your lord and savior. Paul was a schizophrenic who had a hallucination on the road, and then spent the next years of his life distorting the message of Jesus. Jesus's word is binding to Christians, Paul's isn't. If Jesus said something, and Paul contradicted it, it isn't hard to choose whose word trumps who. Paul wasn't even a disciple of Jesus, he never even met him.

You are mistaken. Christians do not live by the Sermon on the Mount. The Sermon on the Mount is the law of the Kingdom, which Kingdom Christ will be ruling literally and physically in. Until then, it won't work.

That which the Church comes under is given especially to Paul through the risen Jesus Christ, but is also given in other epistiles. Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry here, said very little concerning the Church. That was reserved for later.

So introducing intellect and reason into the discussion of religion means you are committing apostate folly? Paul was a schizophrenic, who had a hallucination, and then distorted the teachings of Jesus. I do not care what he had to say about anything. He has as much authority as a cult preacher who had visions, Joseph Smith, etc. Jesus is the authority, Paul is nothing, and we only know about him because Roman authorities made the political decision to include his ramblings in the Bible. Just like we only know about the writings of another schizophrenic(the one who wrote revelation) for similar reasons.

PS. You say it is apostasy to say Jesus's words are more important than Paul's, when actually it is the opposite that is true.

You are mistaken, Christians absolutely are supposed to live by the sermon on the mount. It is at the heart of Jesus's ministry. Jesus does not say people will be meek in my kingdom, he says "Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." The implication in all the beatitudes is clear.

PS. your point doesn't even really make sense. So those are the rules of Jesus's kingdom, but he wants people outside his kingdom to behave differently than that? What nonsense.

Is this truly the type of world we live in? Where a man who is true and righteous with good moral standing will not be accepted into heaven simply because he did not believe in the questionable existence of a possibly fictional god?

Then the universe and god suck. And I think I am going to cryogenically freeze myself until the end of time.

The question is how can somebody be true and righteous with good moral standing apart from the source of all goodness? Perhaps it's conceit that leads people to believe they are the authors of virtue. The atheists love to brag about how good and upright they can be without religion. I have to ask them, how many orphanages were opened by atheists? Schools? Hospitals? What atheist charity can compare to Samaritan's Purse or Catholic Charities? Only those who have a personal relationship with the ultimate Good in the universe are capable of true good, to lay down their lives for their fellow man. We take as our example, the Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself for all mankind and with that high standard, Christians have demonstrated true, lasting, and far reaching good throughout our 2000 year history.
