Aren't they already? Hitler was an offshoot of Catholicism iirc, so he probably went to heaven right?

Can you not read or are just an impulsive liar? I said ALL RELIGIONS GENERALLY, as well as accounts of Jesus teachings - whether in the Bible or not, indicate if God exists he'd be merciful. Do you disagree?

Touched a raw nerve did we? LOL

    Ya really wanna talk sleaze?
    OK...lets discuss genocide.
    Lets discuss infanticide.
Or perhaps you'd like to discuss the bravery of a supposed God that would let its only bastard son be tacked up on a crucifix, stabbed in the side, and left to bleed to death?
    Wanna discuss those little inconveniences?

Look...if the Christian dogma floats yer boat...bully.
What you "Bible-Thumpers" refuse to acknowledge is that its your own theological/political beliefs that turn so many people away from the whole bag o' goods.
    That's right...CHRISTIANITY IS CREATING ATHEISM!
Of that there is no doubt.

And don't be so simplistic to ASSUME that I have no concept of Good and Bad. I am intelligent enough to understand the implications of PERCEPTION with respect to these ideas...and I do happen to think Karma is a major factor.

As for Hitler...you just HAD to get down and dirty didn't ya...what the hell makes you think his actions are any more horrifying than the act of washing the planet clean of all but a few choice people?

I see Christianity through clear eyes. I see it for what it REALLY is. A man-made mechanism for control of the masses. Nothing more...nothing less. And it will be a cold day in hell...figuratively speaking...before I will prostate myself before an effigy of some dead guy tacked to a crucifix.
THAT...my well meaning yet hopelessly misguided soul...is what we call MACABRE.

...... and we have a bingo. I don't believe there is a higher power, however I like your outlook.

"Your God can only be found by living in harmony with the universe...IMO. "

You should start a thread detailing your beliefs, I am assuming Buddhism? I have a book that a friend loaned me, I am very much looking forward to reading it. I had made a thread that touched on spiritual atheism, i.e. there is a lot to life and universe that we live in we just have to look. Tool touches on this a lot in their lyrics.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/religion/203862-foretaste-heaven-all-good-loving.html

Granted, I did not receive many replies. Which isn't too surprising, I wasn't referring to a vile concept of god as evil, so there wasn't much opportunity for the theists to hatefully disparage atheists.

Which information? You have a Bible, which you yourself consider intricate to God's nature, so read it and see that it specifically says God is all merciful and Jesus said the greatest thing to do was love another. God is about love,m not hatred, although many Christians, especially Americans seem more concerned with the latter these days.

It's just the same old folly of the futility of man's mind---your thoughts are not novel, but just redux of a long line of vain attempts by rebellious men to find doctrines that suit their personal beliefs. BTW, Christian version of "Karma" is "You reap what you sow."

Your Fantasyland ala Disneyland sounds like that of one who wants to chase & sate their pet lusts w/o any fear of guilt or penalties. And so you live in a La La Land of Denial, and justify your sins. Guess as they say, "Time will tell."

    Yes, I have a Bible.

    Luke 22:36-38

" Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

For I say unto you that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords, And he said unto them, It is enough. "

    Luke 24: 36-39

" And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them....

And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. "

    John 3:3

" Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "

And I believe all these verses about Jesus. Do you?

Dont go away 'hurt' just because you have been challenged on your folly of YOUR god.

But, let me sum up "Time will tell"

All the many, many words on this and other religion forums, by the followers of the various religions, or the unbelievers in a higher power, etc. do not and will not make any difference in those who have either closed hearts or are fully assured of their beliefs, but all have one thing in common---"faith!"

Whether it be 'faith' in the words of men inspired by God, or even the recorded words of One who claims to be the Son of God, but also includes those who do not believe in a deity who trust in what they see only, or in the limits of what science has uncovered (the very small and the very large) but still modifies daily as in being "incomplete;" but, all have put their 'faith' in something.

A time will come when their 'faith' will be proven or disproven...as in "Time will tell what truth really is"

    Nope. You cant believe all, else it would just be hypocritical. Given the Bible says;
Psalm 103: "God Is Merciful and Gracious"
Deuteronomy 4:31: For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.
"Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful." Luke 6:36
    Also;
"Therefore he (Jesus Christ) was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people." Hebrews 2:17
"For the man who has had no mercy will be judged without mercy, but mercy takes pride in overcoming judging. James 2:13
"Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful." James 5:11
"Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, "Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth…" Exodus 34:6
"…for Yahweh your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them." Deuteronomy 4:31
"With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect." 2 Samuel 22:26
"For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him." 2 Chronicles 30:9
"…and refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and didn't forsake them." Nehemiah 9:17
"Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you did not make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God." Nehemiah 9:31
"I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee." Psalms 41:4
"A poem by David, when he fled from Saul, in the cave. "Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed." Psalms 57:1
"May God be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us." Psalms 67:1
"But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn't destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn't stir up all his wrath." Psalms 78:38
"Be merciful to me, Lord, for I call to you all day long." Psalms 86:3
"He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful." Psalms 111:4
"Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous." Psalms 112:4
"Yahweh is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful." Psalms 116:5
"For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD." Psalms 117:2
"I sought your favor with my whole heart. Be merciful to me according to your word." Psalms 119:58
"Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant." Psalms 119:76
"The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh." Proverbs 11:17
"Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, you backsliding Israel, says Yahweh; I will not look in anger on you; for I am merciful, says Yahweh, I will not keep anger forever." Jeremiah 3:12
"Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity." Joel 2:13

    Also, take other Holy Books, the Quran for example;

The first verse of the whole text is - In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (1:1)

And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."(6:54)

Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah ." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt.(6:12)

Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.(40:7)

Perhaps your claims are simply not worth the time to respond.

Reminds me of the old story about the missionary and the native man. The native man asks the missionary what would happen to him had the missionary not told him about Jesus Christ. The Missionary said nothing would have. So the native man asked "so then why did you tell me??"

You say your bible says pride is a sin, then proceed to call a whole category of people "a bunch of 'hopeless,' pathetic, poor excuses as members of the human race...very sad individuals indeed."
