This is an example of the contridictions within the bible between the teachings of Christ and the teachings of Paul... The first is the most obvious one... Jesus says: Take heed that you are not led astray; for many will come in my name, saying, . . . `The time is at hand!' Do not go after them. Paul says: the night is far gone, the day is at hand. Jesus says: Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Jesus goes onto say that anyone who does not follow the old law, and teaches others not to follow them will be viewed as least in heaven, I couldn't find a full verson of the passage. I will post a full one after I find it. Paul says: For Christ is the end of the law, that every one who has faith may be justified. This is the passage that has many Christians thinking that they do not have to follow the old testament.
This is America, and you are free to believe Paul is a false prophet, and start your own church based on that belief.
I did a quick Google search, and there are many more examples against Paul than just mentioned in the OP. It's very much possible Paul was a false Prophet.
THe fact that Jesus said that anyone who went around claiming that the end had come was a false prophet, and Paul did just that, is a huge bit of proof.
Other than your book of fairytales do you have any proof that "jebus" said that?? There is NOT point debating the bible as its so full of shyte..In fact its probably not even good to use as dunny paper its that full already.
if the fact that you called them fairytales means your your not a Christian, so this threads is not really for you. And Christian, who believes that the bible is the world of god, will accept that Jesus said everything that he is quoted as saying in the bible.
So a book written and re written 100's of years AFTER the so called "life of jebus" has every thing right word for word as it was said... LOL Your "bible" is nothing but a story book that is used to garner money, power, and as a crutch for a weak mind. Its a CONTROL that is irrelevant to today's world.
If your going to claim 'contridiction' at least identify your verses. As it stands right now the only contridiction is your words. Quantrill
Maybe Paul was just "fixing" the corruptable scriptures like Mohammad. Of course, Mohammad was anything but a false prophet. He just was the only one privy to the truth and rewrote the entire Bible to save us all, right?
To fulfill the law is to finish it .. meaning there was no more requirement for blood sacrifice or ritual cleansing.
Yeah, the illiterate man who couldn't read spent 22 years re-writing the Bible just to name himself a Prophet and save the world.... It was a Christian monk who told Muhammad (PBUH) he was a Prophet actually. He didn't write anything, the words of the Quran were given to him by God through Gabriel. They have similarities, because - now wait for it - like Christianity and Judaism, Islam is an Abrahimic faith. But, this is off topic. There's plenty of hate threads on Islam here, no need to turn this one into another ***** Paul didn't fix anything, he contradicted Jesus (PBUH) which I would assume means he was actually doing the opposite of fixing the Bible. Salam
Paul was not a prophet, he was an Apostle chosen by Christ to spread the good news of the Gospel. Christians believe his writings were divinely inspired.
Paul was a contemporary of the disciples who walked with Christ. They both contributed to the same cause and religion. Paul, as well as many other Biblical authors, wrote of Jesus and are all witnesses of him. This is in regard to those who came before Christ and gave prophesy about him. In fact, Christ even pointed to them as a type of authentication of who he was. In short, these myriad of witnesses over the centuries are testimonial eye witnesses of who and what Jesus Christ was all about. This is why Christ never wrote about himself. Anyone can sit down and write what you want them to believe, but using others to tell you about who you are is a whole other story. Then came Mohammad hundreds of years later. He then began having visions where he thought he was losing his mind and was prompted to have the Quran written. In fact, he trashed much of what was in the original Biblical text at the drop of the hat, thus supposidly erradicating all of the eye witness accounts about one Jesus Christ. So if this is true, where are all the prophesies pointing to Mohammad? Where these prophesies erased? As for myself, I know of one possible account of Mohammad, specifically about there being a world wide false prophet. Of course, as you say, this is not a thread bashing Mohammad, rather, this is a thread about bashing St. Paul so carry on.
