Problem is, in my experience of PF, unless one has done personal study, you launch yourself into a hod bed of mindless rhetoric, unsubstantiated drivel and bias. But sure, you know what, I'll do you the favor and go on to a few. I'm doing a subject in January called making china modern, so that might be a good opportunity to start. I have a few books on China, past and present, so yes, I'll participate, although as I say it will be later. Remind me later, when the time comes around (if I forget, which I will try not to) and I'll get into it.

Incidentally your response vindicates my position as it stands. My centrality with the US is on relevance - not prejudice.

actually, it works pretty well in most of Thailand ... there are muslim villages in a number of places and there is no conflict whatsoever.

of course, in the south the issue is based on a number of factors, not just religion.

It works pretty well in most places outside the west most of the time - which is amazing when you consider that economic factors usually create friction, which often will end up being along ethnic/tribal lines.

that it is often seen as problematic in the west probably says more about the west than it does about multiculturalism.

that said - I mentioned before that often where there is tension, it is related to historical factors - specifically inequities of the past.

 

The fact that your gaze is fixated on this part of a person's anatomy proves the paucity of your arguments. If this is the only 'argument' you are capable of using,then I can only assume you must be desperate and incapable of engaging in a serious discussion. Maybe you could enter into a discussion on this subject with a person who is willing to engage you at the cellar level. That's it for me, as I prefer a more rational approach.

He is right, your evidence is two television shows, my goodness, is that all you have in your arsenal. The first video is from Q & A, probably one of the best TV shows in Australia. The topic was Anti-Americanism but it shows that we are really tolerant of the US. It is nearly unilaterally believed that whilst we all have our faults, we are also very similar. To me it shows that we tolerate Americans.
The second one was a Comedy Sketch, enough said. How much comedy in the US also puts down the US?

As for anatomy, I think Cass was more concerned with spelling actually. When I went to school, an ass was an animal, Equus africanus asinus more commonly known as a Donkey, or it could be an album by Badfinger LOL.

Of course the Northern Americans refer to ass as buttocks, what is spelt in English, arse. But then we know that Americans have problems spelling.

 

I think he is very intelligent, his wisdom belies his age. I think he is well read, well educated and continuing to do so. I think he is very reasonable and willing to change his views when convinced to do so, something he states in his signature. His arguments are well thought out, referenced if necessary and always logical.

Whilst I do not agree with everything he says, (that person I have yet to meet) I would be very wary to challenge him without thorough research. As yet though, the differences have not warranted that.

Multiculturalism doesn't work in Thailand. Where ever large numbers of Muslims and non-Muslims come into contact there is conflict. There is a Muslim insurgency going on in southern Thailand.

Multiculturalism has failed in America. Mexican illegals have formed a nation within the nation. There is growing hostility between whites and Mexicans in California as Mexicans become dominant.

You're right. Living under American imperialism is quite brutal. I'd trade places with a North Korean, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese, Cuban or African citizen in a nanosecond. Such choices as to what religion I wish to believe in, What news channel to watch, What books to read, or what internet sights to visit are quite overwhelming and cause to to have to make educated choices.
