I love how other religions like this one say you have to do stuff to get to Heaven, but my faith relies solely accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior. The praying, fasting, and submitting to the Lord's will comes after accepting him and doesn't affect whether you go to heaven or not. It's probably been said a few times before, but I haven't been on this forum for months, possibly a year. Anyhow, how you do feel about our version of that anyways? How do you feel about all our sins being forgiven by accepting and asking for our Lord's salvation, as opposed to fasting and praying, trying to get things right with our Father?

Contrary to what some of my Americans seem to portray or believe, I personally don't see Muslims as evil or devil-worshipers, only misguided. (After all, isn't Allah Arabic for "God?") I'd imagine you feel the same about me though.

Yes, I would agree Muslims are and have been misguided especially those from ancient times because of very high illiteracy rate, unfortunately with the easy and availability access to information many Muslims have chose to go against Christ these Muslims are no longer misguided.

The Catholics have the Pope. For the Catholics, the Pope is the final authority on the word of God.

Is there a Pope for Islam? If not, if there is no final authority, how do you know that you are right in what you believe?

Personally, I think that's too easy. That is one reason why I feel the Christianity has been influenced by men... it's too convenient to be forgiven for all sins just like that. Do you go to Church?

Then again, I'm a person who actually enjoys praying and fasting so...

Pretty much. Misguided, not evil. I have nothing against the faith. It's pointless to hate a religion or all the followers of a religion. Or both. Whether you are Muslim, Christian, Jew, spaghetti monster, or Atheist.

Not a pope. But we have Grand Mufti, Imams, Shiekhs. And the Shia have Ayatollah's as well.

They interpret Quran and Hadith, issue fatwa's, etc.

Yes, I do. After salvation, the goal is to grow. It's not meant to be "get saved" than do whatever you want. You were bought for a price (Calvary.) You can't lose your salvation, but it's intended that your old flesh is dead and gone. You're supposed to get into the word, pray, fast (which apparently is in our faith as well.. I didn't know that), and whatever to be pleasing to God. Of course, I've only been saved since Dec. 2011. I was still lost before 2011.

I still keep the same acceptance of other faiths, while I do feel they're wrong. Blatant attacking of another person's faith is not how you get them to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. If anything, a bad attitude about things is exactly how you push others away, instead of pull them in. Too many of my fellow Christians have a problem of that bad attitude, whether it be towards Athiests, Muslims, or Mormons.

    Genesis Chapter 22

1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him: 'Abraham'; and he said: 'Here am I.'
2 And He said: 'Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.'
3 And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he cleaved the wood for the burnt-offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Now I don't read hebrew so I can't state for certain the original text says issac, but the english side says Issac by name.
    http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt0122.htm#5

ps - it may state his only son as ishmael is his son by someone other than his wife. And not considered a true son.

    [h=1]Salvation from Hellfire[/h]
God has said in the Quran:

“Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if one offered it as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.” (Quran 3:91)

So, this life is our only chance to win Paradise and to escape from Hellfire, because if someone dies in disbelief, he will not have another chance to come back to this world to believe. As God has said in the Quran about what is going to happen for the unbelievers on the Day of Judgment:
“If you could but see when they are set before the Fire (Hell) and say, “Would that we might return (to the world)! Then we would not reject the verses of our Lord, but we would be of the believers!” (Quran 6:27)

But no one will have this second opportunity.
The Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The happiest man in the world of those doomed to the Fire (Hell) on the Day of Judgment will be dipped in the Fire once. Then he will be asked, ‘Son of Adam, did you ever see any good? Did you ever experience any blessing?’ So he will say, ‘No, by God, O Lord!’”[1]

I have been watching islamic lectures lately. And I like the event by Hassanain Rajabali on "What do Muslims think of Non-Muslims?" I certainly suggest it.

The following article was written by former U.S. Navy Lt. Commander and physician, M. Zuhdi Jasser, a devout Muslim. Dr. Jasser comments on the anti-Islamic radical film, "The Third Jihad," which puts the entire debate about Islam into sharp focus.

Rather than asking you to pay to watch it, the producers have generously made it available to PF members (as well as anyone else who'd care to watch it) for free.

    See below for film.

Link to watch the film, "The Third Jihad" absolutely free of charge.

If you are talking about this lecture, it certainly seems recommendable to me as a Christian and I think most of my Muslim friends would agree.

Nobody takes Jasser seriously. He is a very useful tool for anti-Islamic bigots, and that's about it.

He's a pathetic House Muslim, and nothing more.

He has no problem supporting anti-Islam bigots, but God forbid somebody calls him out on it. Then he claims to be a devout follower of the religion while simultaneously supporting countless people who hate on it and at the same time claiming everybody who disagrees with him or them is an Islamist.

By the way, the Clarion Fund is a Zionist group. Of course Jasser affiliates himself with it. He loves the right-wing Islamophobic crowd, and they love him too. Which really says something. To most people with an ounce of common sense.

The video is a reunion of Islamophobes, clips from PalWatch (which makes sense, as it is a Zionist organization behind the film), al-Qaida speakers, and random clips of explosions and violence... And that was in the only 15 minutes I watched.

His little disclaimer at the beginning is only to save face for when people call out the movie as being Islamophobic propaganda. If only a small percent of Muslims are "radicals", then there is no global Islamic threat. Right? There's that common sense again.

    Sigh...

Like every other murder in history, it was unnecessary and disgraceful. This one was particularly disgusting because of what they did and in the public at that.

    ?
    Back sliding here...?

The Wstboro Christian church uses a less bloody protest against the homosexual/Harlot feminist sexual promotion that threatens our society, but these acts are intended to focus the public attention on the failure of Christianity to get people to want to be sexually moral because it avoids hurting people.

These acts like Boston are messages tot the sexually promiscuous atheistic and Christian population that if they do not want Sharia and all the same treatment that Muslim level upon their own sinners, they better start wanting Jesus to tell them the truth, and lead the way into a life that moral and safe.

The Law, very similar to Sharia, was to be replaced by people who willingly wished to behave better so that the evils inherent in sexual promiscuity would not be with us.
Islam is demonstrating world wide the exact same Jewish behavior in the days of the OT, when the Hebrew patriarch performed Honor Killings and destroyed the Gentile whoredoms that neighbored them.

    Whats new here and now...??/

    LOL

What else COULD they honestly think about non-muslims?????

    Abortions by Religious Affiliation:
    Protestants: 37.4%
    Catholics: 31.3%
    Jews: 1.3 %
    Secular: 30.0 %

    Not in the least bit.

You think this was done because of that? No. There was reason that out of a group of people walking on the street, only a soldier was killed. It has to do with wars in the Middle East and Britains meddling therein. Is it acceptable to behead people in the streets because of that? Of course not. But it is also wrong to ignore the motives of such acts and simply brushing them off as "Islamic terrorism".

I don't believe anything about the Boston bombing to be true, but regardless, even from what has been said about it again the reasons for the act stem from Western foreign policy in the Middle East and not because of sinners or Sharia.

Both incidents killed innocent people, so if this was a Sharia state all of the guilty suspects would be executed.

Terrorism is a political concept. It has political motives, and political goals with the occasional use of religion for an attempt at legitimacy.

    Whats new here and now...??/[/quote]

Sexual promiscuity will always exist, even in a Sharia state. And so long as people do it in the presence of 3 or fewer people, they cannot be punished for it. Rather, those making the accusation will get punished for failing to have 4 witnesses.

Islam does not prohibit abortion completely. There are some permissible reasons for abortion, such as from pregnancy due to a rape or if the birth will kill the mother. But no later than 40 days of the pregnancy.

What do you call it, if not "Islamic terrorism?"

“The only reason we have killed this man today is because Muslims are dying daily by British soldiers.

“And this British soldier is one. It is an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

“By Allah, we swear by the almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone.

“So what if we want to live by the Sharia in Muslim lands? Why does that mean you must follow us and chase us and call us extremists and kill us?

“Rather you lot are extreme. You are the ones that when you drop a bomb you think it hits one person?

“Or rather your bomb wipes out a whole family?

“This is the reality. By Allah if I saw your mother today with a buggy I would help her up the stairs. This is my nature…

“Through many passages in the (Arabic) Koran we must fight them as they fight us.

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

“I apologise that women had to witness this today but in our lands women have to see the same.

“You people will never be safe. Remove your governments, they don’t care about you.

“You think David Cameron is going to get caught in the street when we start busting our guns?

“You think politicians are going to die?

“No, it’s going to be the average guy, like you and your children.

“So get rid of them. Tell them to bring our troops back so can all live in peace.

“So leave our lands and we can all live in peace.

“That’s all I have to say.

“Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you.”
