If he is not serious about sin, then why send Jesus to pay the penalty of it for all mankind once for all, all that we need to do is accept it, but many reject it or worse disregard it.

 

What "penalty" did he pay, exactly?

 

He bridged the gap between us and God that the law could not do. He is the perfect sinless lamb of God sacrificed for our sin, and resurected on the third day and is now seated at the right hand of God.

If you had bothered to listen to the lecture I linked you to, you’d know why I don’t subscribe to the idea of penal substitution that your Christian sect (IMHO erroneously) holds. Jesus was not punished in your place for your sins. All of us will still have to answer for our very own sins. If you think one can get away with being a bigoted, willfully ignorant homophobic (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), because Christ has already taken the beating for that, you are mistaken. But all of us, even the biggest bigots, can have hope for mercy and forgiveness, just like those who tortured Him on the cross can have hope for forgiveness because Christ wanted them to be forgiven. That’s why I don’t worry too much about your soul, pitch-black as it may be. Gosh, I even have hope for my own salvation, and God knows how black my soul is.

 

You, yourself can fall under the false teacher category. As you seem to have a very narrow view of christ's teachings and tell us all what you think is truth. When in reality, it is opposite of truth.

Why would I listen to a teacher who serves a small god by diminishing his word because he believes that softening the message of the Gospel is weak spoken by a weak Jesus and expanded by weak men who may have misunderstood the real meassage. No thank you.

And, so that you are clear on my position, homosexuals are deservimg of respect and dignity when they are searching for the truth, but they should be under no delusion that God will wink at their sin and not deal with. Romans 8:1 says that there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That means that we are to be in Jesus, that is covered by his blood, to be in right standing before God. Those who continue in sin, that includes me and you, and pretend to be Christians while holding a form of Godliness but denying its power are in essence rejecting God, his Son, and his sacrifice.

Well, and later you talk about Muslims. And you protest when we say that Christians are the same as Muslim. And we say that you just have fatwa envy.

 

# 128 then. God did not 'invent' homosexuality. It is a sin condition that exists after the fall, it is part of the corruption that infected all creation. Truth that God is serious about sin and that he will judge it in the end is stumbling block to those who believe the lie that God does not exist. Oh well, whats a brother to do?

Here's what you don't seem to understand. That is the destiny of everyone. Some will take different paths. Some will take more lessons than others. Some will take great leaps backwards, and have to retrace progress previously made. But all paths lead to the light.

You're problem is that your arrogance has led you to believe that your way is the only way, and anyone who does it differently will be punished for eternity. Pride, as they say, goeth before the fall. And the amount of arrogant pride you demonstrate on a daily basis tells me that's the trap you've set for yourself in this life. Don't worry to much though, a single life compared to our overall existence is like a single second compared to a lifetime. You'll get it right eventually.

 

It is for those are in Christ Jesus. Every one else, no so much. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, and no one will see the father except through me. Jesus way is the only way, I have nothing to do with it beyond faith that Jesus spoke truth.

As a judgemental and non-forgiving type, it would seem to go against jesus' teaching and his way. So don't pick out that crown just yet.

 

I am telling people about the truth of God. The crown I get will be given, not selected. My judgement or foregiveness is irrelevant to this discusion, what God has said and his Holy judgement is relavent.

 

The scripture obviously is man written.

 

Suppose God appeared to you as the thing or person that you hate the most. Would you still be so lovey-dovey?

 

I think that most of it was written at the same time, especially the New Testament.
