Judge Rudolph Contreras was appointed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) court in 2016.

Every single judge on the FISA Court as of today was appointed during Obama’s Presidency!

Five of the current eleven judges on the court are scheduled to be on the court for President Trump’s entire first term with six of the judges’ terms expiring before January 2021. Seven of the judges are scheduled into the year 2020.

And like in any job, a guy with experience comes with ties to his previous job. In most jobs that gives him/her a leg up on others in making sales or treating some illness. But lawyers and judges have to "recuse" or make sure they don't influence any case they were involved with when they were employed elsewhere. We laugh at "legal ethics" because lawyers are actually required to do some noxious crap with noxious clients, but that is one area where the rules are clear. Although Judges generally have leeway in judging for themselves what people would say are conflicts. Scalia was pretty notorious for not recusing despite financial ties. Not that I ever though he really gave a crap about ties, and he just did what he thought was right ... even though I disagreed with most of his views.

 

It proves that the FISA request to spy on american citizens and political opponents was indeed submitted by Trump hating, pro-Hillary rogue FBI agent. The repercussions of this on Muellers witch hunt and thus libs pipe dream of impeachement are terrible. Brace yourself.

you do realize that before any tapping of Manafort, he was picked up on a tap that had been put on a Russian's phone? And that to get a warrant to tap Manafort's phone, all the State had to show was a fair probability that communications pertaining to a specific crime would occur. Manafort had lawyers, and you may rest assured that if there was any challenge to the legality of the evidence, they'd have raised it by now. And the same is true of Flynn ... except that he actually pled guilty. LOL

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity apologized on Tuesday for referencing a fake news article on his radio show that claimed that Michelle Obama was deleting tweets about Hillary Clinton.

“Correction. Live on radio I read a gateway pundit report that @MichelleObama had deleted mentions of HRC,” Hannity tweeted. “And a listener said [President Obama] and ... Elizabeth Warren did same. Fact is they didn't. I humbly apologize. Live radio.”

Judge presiding over Michael Flynn criminal case is recused: court.....

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia judge presiding over the criminal case for President Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has been recused from handling the case, a court spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Court spokeswoman Lisa Klem did not say why Contreras was recused, and added that the case was randomly reassigned.

Reuters could not immediately learn the reason for the recusal, or reach Contreras.

An attorney for Flynn declined to comment.

Now, Flynn’s sentencing will be overseen by U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan. Sullivan was appointed by former Democratic President Bill Clinton.....snip~

FISA Court deals with foreign intelligence only, which Manaford's case had nothing to do with. That's probably why the initial warrant request was denied.... then it was supplemented with the russian dossier paid for by Hillary campaign and submitted to FISA by a rogue FBI agent/Trump hater as legitimate intelligence.

That is why the FISA judge recused himself.... This looks horrible for Mueller's witch hunt, it completely compromises its legitimacy.

 

You do realize that a judge who accepts a guilty plea doesn't do anything but basically ask the defense if they really want to plead guilty? There is nothing to this nothingburger. Now if the judge had sentenced Flynn to hang by his thumbs until dead .... then you'd have something. LOL

You don't even know that a judge who accepts a plea only has to decide if the plea is voluntary. You are hyperventilating over nothing. If there was any basis to say the State had violated Flynn's rights, that was up to Flynn's lawyers to raise. And had they done so, then it probably would have required the judge to recuse at that time ... but that time never arose.

 

Of course it is, but smearing is not an excuse for ignorance.
