    Ukraine maternity hospital 'destroyed' by Russian shelling

    President Volodymyr Zelensky said children were under the wreckage, and called on Western leaders to impose a no-fly zone.

    He also posted footage apparently from inside the hospital, which appears badly damaged.

    There is no information yet on casualties, or on who was inside the hospital at the time.

    The Mariupol city council said the strike had caused "colossal damage", and published footage showing burned out buildings, destroyed cars and a huge crater outside the hospital. The BBC has verified the location of the videos.

    Mariupol has been surrounded by Russian forces for several days, and repeated attempts at a ceasefire to allow civilians to leave have broken down.

    "The whole city remains without electricity, water, food, whatever and people are dying because of dehydration," Olena Stokoz of Ukraine's Red Cross told the BBC, adding that her organisation would continue trying to organise an evacuation corridor.

    Earlier Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said "almost 3,000 newborn babies lack medicine and food" in Mariupol, and that Russia continued to hold more than 400,000 people "hostage".

    Russia insists that it does not target civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

    But people and children are dying because of lack of water.

    Putin has achieved pariah status, and is the enemy of freedom and democracy, and human decency.

    Anyone who supports Putin, therefore, is also an enemy of freedom, democracy and human decency.

    Those who bellyached that mask mandates were an 'attack on freedom', how do those cries sound, now, against the backdrop of Russian state sponsored terrorism, starving, bombing, children, where real freedoms are being attacked?

    They ring hollow.

    BBC article... these the same reports that showed "Russian" tanks driving over civilian vehicles when they were Ukrainian or where they showed damage buildings that were hit with Ukrainian arms. Just spray paint some more Zs on anything and say that it's Russia. Might as well be linking an article straight from the CIA or FSB.

    They wouldn't do that when they supported a criminal sexual harasser who tried (and failed) to overturn our democracy. They probably won't do it for the puppeteer who controls him.

    Putin is a murderer who has slaughtered women and children for the sake of more power. Trump admires him and wants to be just like him.

    The photographs reveal incontrovertible evidence of war crimes, injured pregnant women, blood stained mattresses, maternity ward in shambles, not an insolated missile, but the entire facility in shambles, indicating deliberate, prolonged and willful destruction.

    And, this, done hours ago, not one word from Trump expressing his shock and dismay of his buddy, Putin.

    The headline reads:

    Given that Trump, when hours ago photographs produced which are incontrovertible evidence of Putin's war crimes, a situation which beckons for the Putin-admiring Trump to go on TV and immediately renounce Putin, he has failed to do it, and by that omission, it is reasonable to conclude Trump still believes Putin is a 'genius', given that is the descriptor Trump recently ascribed to Putin, which is all that the headline suggests. Also note that the headline is contingent upon 'at this juncture it is a reasonable conclusion', as Trump still may renounce Putin, and I would like to see an apology made to the American public, as well, which I doubt he will do.

    Feel free to report that, and make sure your accusation is accurate, and quoting the above paragraph, in toto.

    I also would like to see an apology from you for your accusation of my thread as being 'phony' which it most certainly is not.

    Trump has some seriously misplaced hero worship issues...........and they speak to his character.

    Yep...it takes a real "genius" to bomb a maternity hospital.......and a universality. .... a genius of the mad variety. Mad that has morphed into pure evil.

    It's a clear view to me, that Putin is actually the one engaging in Ethnic Cleansing of the Ukrainian People(why else would he target hospitals). I have hope that the tide will turn against this butcher of the century.

    True:
    The maternity hospital was occupied by Ukrainian fascists and terrorising personal.
    Russia does not attack pregnant women.
    So don't believe everything they say on TV.
    In Ukraine, fascist groups are terrorizing civilians. They kill them. Hiding behind their backs.
    When Russia organizes humanitarian corridors, groups of Ukrainian troops DO NOT RELEASE civilians because they need them as human shields.
    They are scum. And it is precisely with them that Russia is fighting.
    But of course the TV didn't tell you that.

    then why does Russia bring humanitarian aid to the cities taken under its control? Why are they building infrastructure for the Ukrainians, which was destroyed by the armed forces of Ukraine during the retreat? Why does he not mock the prisoners, but sends them home to their mothers?

    Ukraine foreign minister says Russian officials ‘live in their own reality’ after talks fail

    Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba hit back at claims made Thursday by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, saying the leadership in Moscow “live in their own reality.”

    Kuleba’s comments come after Russia’s foreign minister earlier denied that Russian forces had on Wednesday bombed a children’s hospital and maternity ward, leading to the deaths of three people including a child, and wounding many others.

    When asked by CNBC’s Hadley Gamble how Russia could justify such an act, Lavrov said that it was “not the first time we’ve seen shouting in response to so-called atrocities,” repeating a Russian line that the hospital had already been captured by Ukrainian “ultra radicals.” He presented no evidence for this claim.

    He also said that pregnant women had been taken away from the hospital days ago, despite photographic evidence to the contrary which showed pregnant women being carried from the hospital following the missile strike.

    By far the worst atrocity of this war, but the month is still young. Worse things are yet to come. When I saw it, my heart wept for those babies.

    You would think that the brutal murder of children, mothers and UNBORN children would unite all of us, but I am not sure that the pro-lifers are as pro-llife as they profess to be, for if they were, they would be the very first people storming the barricades demanding that Putin pay for these war crimes but of course.... crickets... as usual.
