Look, I get that you are desperate to defend Trump, but you can't find ANY politician in US history, ANYWHERE, who tried the things that Trump and his team were pressuring in the Eastman memo. We both know you have no examples. Falsely labelling objective facts "hyperbole" won't suddenly make a difference. The fact is, no one has gone further to try to overturn US democracy than Trump has. This is an objective fact based on objective actions that you (by your own admission) are unwilling to talk about. There's a reason why you can't talk about them.

I think Joe Biden can unite liberal, Democrat, independent, never Trumper GOP, GOP who got offended by J6 and no longer support GOP. That means Joe Biden can defeat anyone from GOP in 2024. That is the only qualification I care.

 

What I like about Joe Biden is that he is empathic and cares about other people. It is tough for things to go totally wrong with such a person because he is always trying to do the right thing.

Having said that, Joe Biden is not special in any other way. Brain-wise, he is average. Talent-wise, he is average. He is average in his ability to stimulate others to follow him and put their full trust in his ability to get things done. Then again, that is not necessarily a big negative if you hire people that are talented, smart, and that have the ability to get things done. By the same token, I do not believe he has done that as well as he could have. His pick of Kamala Harris, for example, has not proven to be a great choice as VP.

Joe Biden is about the same as many other presidents and in the end he is not going to make a big mark (good or bad) on our country. On the other side of the coin, he could end up making a mark on our country, not because of who he is but because things are happening under his watch (like the Ukraine/Russia war, inflation, pandemic, following such a bad president as Trump was, worst disunity ever among parties, and China) that may end up making him a good or bad president depending on how he (and his cabinet) end up handling it all. He has been thrust into a big abyss (not of his making) and he will have to make decisions and that may make him a good or bad president in the end.

Me. I like Joe because he personifies everything we know about Democrats, the party of slavery. While we hung the 1994 crime bill for the mass incarceration of blacks around Hillary's neck, she didn't write the bill. Biden was the racist who wrote it. Biden made it his mission to keep Janet Rogers Brown off the courts. She made to the DC court on her second attempt despite Biden's opposition. Biden threatened to block any attempt to appoint her to the SCOTUS. As a black woman, she was an apostate to Biden. She wasn't entitled to her own views. Biden also unleashed the high tech lynching of Justice Thomas for the same reason he went after Janet Rogers Brown.

On the debate stage, Giggles went after Biden for his opposition to allowing black kids to have the same educational opportunities as white kids via bussing. She steered clear of other issues with Joe.

That he is a current example of racism in the Democrat Party is not the only reason I like Joe. He is also a current example of fascism in the Democrat Party. He is so jealous of the surveillance state implemented by Communist China through their digital currency that he issued executive order 14067 last year as a back door to implementing a fascist surveillance state just like China. If Joe has his way, you won't be able to spend US currency without Joe knowing how much, to whom, and for what. He will also be able to block purchases he doesn't like and donations to opposing parties.

At one point I vowed never to vote ever again. Yet, each time I swallow the bad taste in my mouth and trek on down to my voting cite. I don't have many more left in me, but I feel it's my duty to vote. I don't want anyone to say to me that I don't have a right to complain because I didn't vote.

the only president that really grew on me was President Clinton, namely how he handled international issues and crises during his administration. However, for President Joe Biden, I neither like him nor dislike him. I think he has made some mistakes and had no choice with the withdrawal of troops in Afghanistan. He has evolved on issues, namely LGBTQ. But mostly, he has been constant with his belief in keeping humanitarian rights intact over our legal processes. But he does not have the political capital to get both D's and R's to come together to solve the immigration issue, especially on the legal side. He is doing the right thing with Ukraine but knows not to send troops in. But the Democratic Party has a major problem different from the major problem within the GOP. That problem is the greater divide between progressives and traditional Democrats that is coming if Biden loses in 2024 no matter who the GOP nominee is.

 

I have usually voted FOR the person who got my vote. I may have regretted my choice later, but since the Democrats have not nominated a half way decent candidate since Bill Clinton, the regret was quite muted.

 

I neither like nor dislike politicians. Its about results. If you like him and believe that Afghanistan and Ukraine are better off, fair enough. Here in the US, I can't see how we are better off under Biden as likable as people may think he is. I heard children like his leg hair!

 

Neither was Trump.

I like his initial executive order and the administrations work on improving competition in the economy, e .g. Rolling back some of the dumb policies of the last fifty years. The only President and administration to attempt the endeavor in that time frame. Sure. It doesn’t get attention and wish it was THE priority, but it’s something. A Bottom up POV is what we need.
His latest budget proposal reflects it.

He wasn’t my candidate but given the environment he’s doing okay. His administration is vast improvement on the previous one.
