i've never been all in on joe biden, but he is beginning to grow on me. once he got over his delusion of working with the repubs, he has actually owned you guys.

1. the withdrawal from afghanistan was rough but necessary. it could have been much worse.

2. the level of support for ukraine is perfect. IF our allies can hold on through the spring until next winter there is an excellent chance of defeating a powerful aggressor with very few american casualties.

3. i think a few of his appointments were less than satisfactory. powell as federal reserve chief should have never been reappointed. where did trump find him?

Your opening statement is flame bait, but it goes well with the reason why democrats like Biden -- find ways to cause more division than to bring us together on common ground. But then, I really can't find anything to like about Joe. I would have liked him if he actually retired after spending 47 years in government. That would have been likable because then he would have acknowledge that younger people are also capable of doing something for our country. It didn't have to be him.

the lame appointments (powell, garland, etc) may seem like a complaint, but maybe they seemed ok so early in an administration that was genuinely naive about the dangers of trumpism and maga.

Trump was far more affective. Biden is a joke. Look how he's slowly destroying the economy, try to issue presidential decrees, trying to start WW3.

 

In politics, seen from the perspective of a voter, 'liking' a candidate or incumbent is difficult to separate from what we actually do; select whom we consider to be the better choice.

This poor old country mouse approves of some of the actions taken by President Joseph Biden, disapproves of others and is neutral about still more.

My opinion of ole' Joe? He's a good man at heart, a Christian, and he can actually govern to the center, the kind of politician America needs right now. Most people don't want an carnival entertainer/spectacle, WWE demagogy without any ability to focus beyond themselves.

 

It would have been worse only, if he intended to make it worse. There was no reason for abandoning an air base which would have provided a safer way to leave. There was no reason for the military to leave before getting the civilians. There was no reason to abandon billions of dollars' worth of equipment and arms.

If all it boils down to is that the POTUS is a popularity contest then, alright. But most Americans want a result type of leader.

we do, desperately, need several viable 3rd parties. i have supported libertarians and greens, but there are incredible ballot petition hurdles in many states that virtually insure a 2 party system.

you can count me in on that fiscal responsible ("conservative" economics is a joke) and social liberal platform.

 

The invasion of Afghanistan was the opening salvo in the United States "war on terror" and a response to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. 2,977 American citizens died that day.... That war lasted 20 years..
Thanks to Joe, we lost that war and by supplying our enemies with weapons, the US is now the number one state sponsor of terrorism... 20 years flushed down the toilet as the Taliban reoccupying the country... 1500 terrorist were set loose when he abandoned/surrendered the Bagram air base in the middle of the night... with one of his released terrorist killing 13 Americans and 170 civilians... throw in a failed drone strike that killed an innocent man and his 7 children...

So Joe enters us into another 20 year war, or in their words, as long as it takes... This is the second invasion by Russia into Ukraine while Joe Biden was in office... are you willing to send your sons and daughters to fight that fight? "the level of support for Ukraine is perfect." until an American dies..

There is nothing to like about Joe... the only thing I would "like" about Joe is I'd "like" to see his involvement into the shady dealings his family was influence peddling through his political office...

And make no mistake.... the failed non actions by this bumbling dementia ridden idiot may bring us into WWIII.... now how do you "like" Joe? And remember one major point..... if/when WE WILL BE FIGHTING AN UNWINNABLE WAR AGAINST RUSSIA AND CHINA.. I would like to throw out an "I told you so" now, because the opportunity to do so later disappears when it happens because I can't post anything with a smoldering laptop from an EMP attack...
