Slavery has been around for thousands of years. In fact black slaves were enslaved by their own kind in Africa for thousands of years, long before Europe became more than a side footnote in the pages of history. Indeed the longest a European could live in Africa at the time was 1 year before they died due to illnesses caused by diseases unique to Africa for which Europeans had no immunity towards. Much like how so many Native Americans died due to diseases Europeans brought over for which the Native Americans had no immunity to. As such European slave ships would often not even allow anyone off their ships and kept bare minimum contact with anyone in Africa. Essentially they dealt with African slavers just long enough to buy the slaves and then they got the heck outta there. Not that it helped that much as the slaves they brought on board would bring those diseases onboard with them. Due to that it was common for crewmembers to die on slave ships.

That is false. Chattel slavery has traces back to Babylon in their Code of Hammurabi (which we do have texts of). It also existed in other cultures outside of Europeans and the America's. So try again.

 

I thought we were discussing slavery and reparations. While Democrats in the south ran their plantations on the backs of their black slaves, Democrats in the North led by Martin van Buren were busy building political machines in the inner cities. That blacks gravitated to inner cities for services they needed because of the collapse of the Democrat slave states proves nothing. You do not know much of history apparently. While what you said above is true, to an extent, the white man did not start trading in slaves from Africa until the 16th Century. Yet slavery from Africa can be traced back MUCH MUCH farther back into history than just the last few hundred years. We're talking thousands of years of slave trade going on. You can ignore that if you wish. You can ignore the fact that blacks sold other blacks into slavery if you wish. But history doesn't care what you wish to ignore.

Ah, I see that you're trying to move the goal posts. Previously you said that chattel slavery was invented by white people. Your specific words were "Whites invented that." That is false. As I proved. And to claim that it never existed in Africa prior to white people coming over is just BS. The Roman Empire for instance had chattel slavery of which Africans took part in. LONG before the Atlantic Slave Trade was established.
