Every once in a while I get curious what Trump is spewing on Truth Social (another joke in itself), so I search for "recent Trump posts". In general, there's a lot of stuff he posts that doesn't get widely known, and DAMN, is that dude nuts. A lot of it is just boring, but some of the stuff he puts out is ridiculously, well, ridiculous!
I'm not a psychologist or mental health expert (although I've had a lot of experience in the latter), but he seems kind of insane in some ways, like not being connected to reality. I attribute it to his upbringing, which was unusual and unhealthy, as he was rarely told "no", and in later years he exhibits signs of dementia, with a serious dose of narcissism to a level I've rarely seen in humans. He actually sees himself as Superman, or a religious savior, and an expert at everything and everything, eliminating any chance of understanding anything that isn't in his mind already. He will never learn from mistakes, because in his mind, he doesn't make any.
Not good characteristics for the leader of the USA.

PUBLISHED MON, SEP 25 20235:20 PM EDTUPDATED 2 HOURS AGO

    • The identities of the Georgia jurors who will hear the election interference trial against former President Donald Trump will be kept secret until the end of the trial, a judge ordered.

    • Those jurors “shall be identified by number only in court filings or in open court during the pendency of trial,” Judge Scott McAfee wrote in the order in Fulton County Superior Court.

Fani probably included a clause that if his testimony is unsatisfactory he pleads guilty to all charges and is liable for the maximum time. IOW something to give him a little incentive to be known as a squealing rat BEFORE he does whatever time he bargained down.

He says he's not flipping on Trump, which could be true. This guy wasn't in the inner circle of sedition, so he's probably there for crazy Sidney, who he did work with.

Many of Trump's lawyers destroyed themselves.
    For starters.
Don't try and overthrow a legit election thereby denying Americans their votes to keep a certain someone in power and you will be fine.
Don't file lawsuits filled with theories and no evidence and you will be fine.
Don't conspire with a certain someone by denying the material the Feds subpoenaed and you will be fine.
Don't accuse people on TV and/or social media of unfounded criminal behavior and you will be fine.

Did you know this? I didn't...

    SNIP
    L. David Wolfe, an Atlanta criminal defense attorney who has represented a number of clients investigated by the Fulton County grand jury, including Trump-aligned lawyers Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman, argues that Trump’s attorneys could have raised a number of issues if they sought to suppress the recording.

Wolfe says his understanding is that an aide to Raffensperger who sat in on the Jan. 2 call recorded the conversation during a trip to Florida, which requires the consent of both parties in a call in order to record. “The research I have done suggests that [the call] may have been illegally recorded but there wouldn’t be an exclusionary component to that infraction.”

If it's true, it could be a legal issue for Fani.

I always thought it odd that nobody actually claimed to be the party who recorded the call, or that anybody really questioned that. BR never claimed credit.

    Interesting twist, 2.5 years later.

Coming from a Trump lawyer and 2.5 yrs later I find it highly questionable.
Looks like Trump lawyers were advised not to go there from the article.
BR had said that he didn't tape the call and there was no talks with his people before hand not to tape it.

Well, until somebody comes forward and says I taped the call, why they decided to do that, under whose approval (if anybody), and where it happened, there will be questions as to the legal use of that call audio...

I did laugh at your bold... "Gee, I hope nobody tapes my call with Trump tomorrow. That would just be horrible.... wink wink"

    Here's Raff's exact quote.

'Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger opens up about Trump phone call'

'He said in an interview with 11Alive's Brendan Keefe that no one in his home was responsible for the recording, but he also said there was no agreement ahead of time that the call wouldn't be recorded.'

'Georgia senator who demanded Fani Willis special session suspended from GOP caucus'
    Source: The Hill

'Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore, who demanded a special session of the Legislature for an investigation of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D), was indefinitely suspended from the chamber’s GOP caucus Thursday.

“Despite the fact 32 of 33 Republican State Senators, the Governor, Lt. Governor, Speaker of the House, and the Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party agree that a Special Session to take action against the Fulton County District Attorney is impossible, Senator Moore has a right to his opinion,” according to a statement posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, by the Georgia Senate Republicans.

“However, during his advocacy for his ill-conceived proposal, Senator Moore has knowingly misled people across Georgia and our nation, causing unnecessary tension and hostility, while putting his Caucus colleagues and their families at risk of personal harm,” the statement continued.

Moore called for a special session for an investigation into Willis last month after the district attorney indicted former President Trump on charges related to attempts to overturn the 2020 election.'

'Trump drops bid to move Georgia election case to federal court'
    Source: ABC News

    September 28, 2023, 5:34 PM

'Attorneys for Donald Trump have notified a Fulton County court that the former president will not seek to have his Georgia election interference case removed to federal court.

The move comes three weeks after a judge denied a bid by co-defendant Mark Meadows, Trump's former chief of staff, to have his case moved.

Meadows had sought the move to federal court on the basis that his alleged actions were all performed while he was acting "under color" of his role as chief of staff.

Trump, Meadows, and 17 others have pleaded not guilty to all charges in a sweeping racketeering indictment for alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia. The former president says his actions were not illegal and that the investigation is politically motivated.'

    Here's a bit.

'However, Moore attacked some other state senators. After Republican state Sens. Bo Hatchett and Shelly Echols issued a joint statement criticizing Moore’s call, they said Moore targeted them for retaliation and they received threats.

The caucus claimed Moore violated internal rules and was suspended by Republican leaders after refusing to follow those rules. The caucus claimed Moore was not being retaliated against for “his wrongheaded policy position.”

    'Threat of civil war[edit]'

'On August 29, 2023 while appearing on Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast, Moore claimed that his constituents could be "fighting in the streets" if Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is not prevented from prosecuting former president Donald Trump and his 18 alleged co-conspirators for violations of Georgia's RICO statute and other offenses connected with the attempts to reverse the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.[45] While recalling a conversation with another senator, Moore stated "I don't want a civil war, I don't want to have to draw my rifle."[46] He also suggested that Georgia Republicans "have the legislative authority to call in the state troopers and bring [the Georgia State prosecutors] in."[45]

'Jeffrey Clark loses bid to move Georgia case to federal court'
    Source: MSNBC

'Trump-era Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark just lost his attempt to move his state racketeering prosecution in Georgia to federal court.

The ruling was made by U.S. District Judge Steve Jones on Friday. Unlike Clark’s co-defendant Mark Meadows, whose removal claim also was rejected by Jones (Meadows is appealing), Clark didn’t even show up to court to testify at his removal hearing.

At the Sept. 18 hearing, Clark’s lawyer argued that his client was acting under the direction of then-President Donald Trump when Clark pushed top Justice Department officials to sign and send a letter he wrote to Georgia officials with false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

“Not only has Clark failed to provide any (let alone sufficient) evidence that the President delegated him this authority,” Jones wrote in his Friday order, “but the evidence shows that any such delegation of the action alleged (i.e., the contents in the letter drafted) would have been outside the scope of DOJ more broadly.”

." During an interview earlier this month on CNN, Wolfe blew up at the announcer when asked who was paying his fees. Giuliani's sole remaining lawyer in the Georgia case is Brian Tevis, who is reportedly being assisted by Manhattan attorney John Esposito."

'Rudy Giuliani's Georgia Lawyer Just Ditched His Case'

'One of Rudy Giuliani’s Georgia lawyers is moving to withdraw himself from representing the former New York mayor and Trump co-defendant.

David Wolfe filed notice Thursday to withdraw from the Fulton County 2020 election conspiracy case.

Giuliani was among the 19 individuals, including former President Donald Trump, indicted in a sprawling Georgia racketeering case centered around the group’s efforts to subvert the state’s 2020 election results.

Earlier this month, Giuliani pleaded not guilty to 13 charges related to his role in the alleged conspiracy. Still, the charges in Georgia are just a splash in the bucket amid a growing torrent of legal problems.'
