Not in my experience. Around the world the outrage over what Hamas did is rarely coming from Muslims and this has been true for decades.

If the radicals are few, and the religion doesn't support them, that is true. The radicals of Islam are not few, and the religion encourages and praises them.

When the religious and political leader of a nation puts out a hit on an author because he didn't like the book the author wrote ..... and the leaders following him let it stand-
And the people of that religion do not protest- How do you figure that the Ayatollah's edict is not speaking for and defining the religion as a whole?

You also have to overlook a vast amount of evidence of similar nature, ranging from the Korans' saying all infidels must die and you do them a favor by killing them, to the acts of lunacy that are supported by the people, the religion and the government.

Several years back I bought a copy of the Koran, because I wanted to know what the real message of Islam was. I read it. I'm not guessing.

It’s based on two words, religious extremism. Religion is great if it gives you strength to face life’s problems. It sucks when it teaches you that those who don’t share your beliefs are to be converted or eradicated. That’s what radical Islamists believe.

Looking for evidence of that, the search comes up dry. It's claimed, but not backed up by what they do. If you disagree but you aren't willing to speak out (for fear of reprisal, no doubt) you are giving tacit approval to the conduct.

What people do is who they are; claims that don't fit with their actions are hot air used to deflect responsibility.

Judge the guy who put out the hit, not the religion as a whole. Do we judge all Christians on the calls of the pope for crusade? No. Because that is stupid. Same goes here. How do you figure that the Pope's edict did not define the religion as a whole? You are mixing up the will of men with the will of god, which only leads to more war.

If you read the Quran, then I can tell you went into it looking for lines to cherry pick to fit your view of Islam. Sorry, but you are wrong. It does indeed list reasons when it is right to fight, but does not call for the death of non Muslims. In fact, it stresses the opposite.

Yes all those beheaded babies should've popped up like rambo.
You realize Hamas has asked for a truce right? Get ready for the dildo of consequences.

Tell that to the Imams and the people beheading babies.
They don't seem to agree with you.

Had the the blood thirst Germans not murdered Jews by the thousands, there would be no Isreal today. They we give a country to be be free of murderous antisemitic people, who gas and tortured them because of the religion they practice. If you don't like the fact that Isreal was give there traditional homeland back blame the misguided German people who elected a extremely deranged failed artist who had an extreme disliking to the Jews to be their leader.

There are 2 million people or so in Gaza. Hamas doesn't make a secret of their membership or activity.
Anyone who doesn't want to get shelled with Hamas, can point out Hamas and help remove them.
Anyone who refuses to do so, is going to get shelled with Hamas IE the government they elected and continue to allow to exist.

You are reinforcing my point. It is not the 1.8 billion muslims that are the problem, it is those twisting religion for their own purposes. This has been done with every religion throughout the ages. Are the Muslims living down the road from me beheading babies? No. Are muslims in Indonesia beheading babies? no. They are extremists... the very word means that the vast majority do not support it.

Which is where many of the current problems began. It is not an issue of religion, but power.

Are the vast majority of Christians doing missionary work? Charity? Tithing? Attending services? Refraining from pre-marital sex, porn, drunkenness or other sinful behavior?
No. Does that make those things not basic tenets of the ****ing religion? No, they're still tenets. People just don't follow them.

You've got rallies going on world wide right now with people chanting gas the jews my dude. Those people are in western nations.
They're not doing it themselves, but only because they don't think they'd be able to get away with it/ are too chickenshit themselves.
That doesn't mean that the Quran doesn't have all sorts of ****ed up **** in it, and that doesn't mean those people following those tenets are not simply following their religious text.

Zionists believe that anyone part of their "Chosen" racial heritage will be granted 2800 slaves. These 2800 slaves will be willing servants as they put it. Are Americans the 2800 slaves? Is it any different from a religious fanatic who wants to kill or convert versus kill or be enslaved?

Lord Rothschild the true ruler of British Empire orchestrated that.

Are there not protests when Christians are getting killed and oppressed in other countries? There is over a century of bad blood with heavy religious elements from the British partition of the middle east. of course people are out protesting. Do you think all of the people in protests support cutting off the heads of babies?

The biggest problem in our world is the inability to look at things from the perspective of those we see as enemies. That is apparent big time in these forums.

The ottoman empire was broken up. It ****ed around, it found out. The victor divided the spoils, and created a nation state. As one does.
The mistake was not keeping it the British empire and allowing the British Empire to fall.
They'd be better off with an interlocutor in charge who didn't share either religious belief and just wanted some order and prosperity, but only because the Palestinians won't allow the Israeli's to be in charge. There can be no peace while the Israeli's are in charge, and if the Palestinians are in charge there can be no Israeli's as in they'll kill them. The Israeli's are willing to allow access to sacred sites, preserve their unique character, for both religions. They allow liberty, peace, prosperity. But the Palestinians aren't alright with that.
Ergo, "daddy" needs to be in charge and keep the squabbling to a minimum with immediate and overwhelming punishment for violations of the terms which should be dictated to them.
Without a time machine, that's not really possible any longer.
Ergo: Wipe out the Palestinian nation. IE Tell the civilians to leave, level the place, and let Saudi, Iran, Qatar, and everyone else who funds and shelters Hamas and Hezbollah take in the surplus. That would require a massive effort, filtering the goats from the sheep, and it would require the nations who funded this terrorism to take on the actual persons they claim to be in support of.

Its not moral, but it is a working solution. There is no working 2 state solution, because the Palestinians won't play ball.
In a palestinian 1 state solution, they gas the jews and destroy all jewish landmarks, repress the populace and support terrorist groups. In a Israeli 1 state solution, they allow access to Muslim landmarks, preserve their character, allow citizens of other religions, fight terrorist groups, and generally have a fairly free society where people are able to live in relative harmony.
    It seems a straightforward choice.
A 2 state solution will lead to continued atrocities such as the recent and ongoing example.

Yep and they have told the innocent civilians to leave and given them a chance which the Palestinians didn't give to the Israel's.

Protests? Yes, prayer vigils. I don't recall many public displays exhorting the killing of all muslims from the ****ing pulpit.
Chanting "Gas the jews"? No, not really. That's not a ****ing protest dude, that's a promise.
LITERALLY Yes I think the people in those protests support what the Palestinians have just done. Why? Because they LITERALLY said they did. Why can you not simply take them at their given word?

Their announced perspective is clear. I see it, I just don't find it acceptable. Your biggest problem seems to be assuming I don't see their perspective because I have considered it and found it wanting.

It won't work until enough Palestinians realize that they will not survive with the Islamist Jihadist and radicals are leading them and to give up the destroy the Jews doctrine. There needs to be an uprising from within the rid themselves of this barbaism and make the choice to live in peace. There are Arabs that serve in political position in Israel, Israel is NOT the apartheid state the radical leftist claim it to be in is a democratic state. Israel is willing to live in a 2 state PEACEFUL solution. All the past attempts to appease have led to this conclusion, no matter what Israel and the Western States give to the radical Islamist it is never enough. The head of the snake must be cut off and the core groups Hamas, Hezbollah, Taliban, ISIS (what is left) destroyed in our own "Jihad".
