i am happy that it was a good day for you. i am glad that you spent the day with loved ones. that is a beautiful way to spend ones birthday. shep and Del seem to have a great relationship. that is nice. Del's brother is really quiet. he hasn't said 50 words since he has been here. i think he is really hurting but he is so private. he gets to Del's room early and sits while their mother cleans up then he stays at the hotel. he only comes back to spell his mother and Alice.

i haven't gotten a lot of sleep. Mia has been cooking for Alice and Del's mother and brother. we are supposed to be in LA on Monday I have some business there. i will maybe fly in and have the meeting and fly back i have to be there later in the week as well. i may reschedule these depending on how Del is fairing.

the doctors are sure that she can hear sounds now. she does at some level react. they think she is coming out of the coma slowly. i have no idea how they can tell. the concern is that all of her movements are on the right side and that there is no movement of any kind apparent on the left side. they will not know more until she comes to be aware.

We went to a reading of the Declaration of Independence, an outdoor Heritage Days festival, and of course! the fireworks! Boom!! Crash!! Oooo!! Ahhhh!! :)
