False, dems chose hate over country and divided our nation because they lost an election. The irrational hate of Trump Is just a symptom of that.

Nope, people opposed to TRAITOR tRump put The United States first.

TRAITOR tRump Devotion **** is irrational, unbridled hate of anything that opposes him.

False. People consumed with this irrational hate of Trump chose hate over country. They lose 1 election in 2016 and all loyalty to the country dissipated.

This is all part of the common man schtick for the low information voters. And of course a bit of trolling and distraction by the Dims. Which per this thread has to some degree been a success. When it comes to the Dims, all threads IMHO should have two subjects. The economy and illegal immigration.

As I said before, dress code is only a part of the picture. Wacko behavior certainly needs to be ended too. I'm working on it. Not joking, that's serious.

He wears a coat and a tie not gym shorts and a hoody. Tell him he has to wear a suit on the floor and in committee fine with me.

This is different. The uniform is unique and identifies them as a police officer for members of the public.

No it doesn't. Maybe in the first days of being an officer, but that fades with time and routine. The police officer will be whomever he is regardless of the suit he is wearing.

I don't disagree, but what I'm arguing is that the uniform is only taken as a sign of respect for the job because that's the tradition and routine. But that tradition and routine is based on nothing. The suit doesn't do anything, it doesn't change how someone will vote or what policies they will support or oppose. It changes nothing of substance and only affects your perception, which itself is based on the same tradition I mentioned above.

The clothes they are wearing when they decide to do these things have no bearing on their decision to do them. They are doing it because they can get away with it. It's a much deeper problem than just shallow surface level aesthetics like clothing.

You didn't need to explain it because this is irrelevant to clothing. You don't seem to be able to separate the suit from the person. The suit is just fabric. It doesn't DO anything. It doesn't change anything. These elected officials would do what they do no matter they are wearing. So you are correct in that you've highlighted a very real problem, but very wrong in your assumption that clothing has anything even remotely to with it, or that dressing in a suit will prevent it.

For all the people claiming this doesn't matter.... The next time you may have to go in front of a judge in a court of law for some reason.... Just wear some gym shorts and flip flops and a tank top and see how well you are received.... And if they say anything just explain to him that if our Congress people can show up for work in a hoodie then you can show up for court like this

He never wears a suit jacket. That’s a small step on your downward spiral. MTG also wears sleeveless tops. Also a step on your downward spiral.

Yes, it is false that "dems" (Democrats, Liberals and Progressives) "chose hate over country". TRAITOR tRump could have been a extremely popular president ... IF ... he had worked to unite ALL Americans. But! He chose to divide them emphasizing, and even creating differences that he could exploit and turn to hate in his MAGrates.

Recognizing that TRAITOR tRump is a danger to the American Constitutional Republic doesn't mean he's hated. It means that, thankfully, the majority of Americans see what a danger he is and don't ever want him to be President again. That doesn't equate to hate; it equates to sound judgement on the part of the majority of Americans.

I've never seen Gym Jordan in a coat and tie. The best dressed he gets is a dress shirt with tie.

So if members of congress decide to sit around in pajamas and drink beer, you will still be happy paying them. Everything is grey; you don't draw any lines.
You need to ask yourself what kind of country you want to live in, and leave for the future. Assuming that is something greater than a banana republic- you need to start figuring how a pretty damn good nation got built in the first place, and what changes in our attitudes put it in the sorry state it's in today. Then- why you are accepting it.

There is no magic easy button to push- and no free money that's truly free. A great society and nation can only be built by good people who maintain values and standards, work hard and don't load their society with people whose core concept is that they can live off others, so don't need to contribute.

Small things matter. It takes a lot of small things to build big ones- but every "I see no need to give a damn" set precedents. They accumulate.
You can aspire to be all you can and the best you can be- but if you allow your leaders to forget their responsibility and leave them in power, you will take the easy way out and won't have the ability to do that.

I think perhaps you were raised without the kind of moral structure that builds good people- leaving it to chance, and thinking that standards do not make a difference. Some parents do that. Mostly, those who don't have the right stuff in the first place and can't give what they don't have. I doubt you ever were in uniform with duty to something larger than yourself.... because people who have understand this. You may believe that the country owes you, rather than you owning it, and I don't mean taxes.

    You've understood nothing here.

I know what changed and started America down it's "hyper-divisive" path "and what changes in our attitudes put it in the sorry state it's in today." -> TRAITOR tRump. <-period.

Generally I think America is doing well in spite of the divisiveness TRAITOR tRump instigated. And would do better to remember we are ALL Americans, wanting the best for our country. In different ways, sure. So we need to work together do sort out our differences not fight each other every inch of the way.

I am NOT accepting it and neither did America when he was VOTED out of office.

I understand your elitist attitude that permeates every thread you start and every post you put up. "I" would rather see our representatives sitting around in their P.J.'s drinking beer and working together for the benefit of ALL American's than dressed in expensive suites and dress's criticizing everyone they oppose and everything our country stands for.

I am waaay more concerned that Marj showed salacious pictures of a naked man in congress than if someone was not in a suit and tie but nice try at dismissal and deflection

Oh! And the next personal attack, well……

The PJs I do not have an issue with but the beer…….
And this is the point of some of this - behaviour such as screaming matches in the toilets is waaay more concerning than say, a woman breastfeeding during a session ( ask Tammy Duckworth)

You are DEFENDING someone who posts anti semitic tropes and denigrates everyone who does not lick his boots, has 91 indictments against him, is not allowed to run a charity in NY and has been found, by a jury of his peers to have sexually assaulted someone? Oh! And he writes notes to assistants on the back of stolen classified documents
