    LOL
    https://thereload.com/atf-says-a-quarter-million-guns-registered-under-pistol-brace-rule/
That number represents just a fraction of the braced guns believed to have been sold in the decade since the ATF first classified a version as outside the scope of the NFA. In the impact assessment for the rule, the ATF estimated that three to seven million devices exist. However, the Congressional Research Service puts the number much higher at somewhere between 10 and 40 million.

CRS says 10 - 40 million total in private hands. 250k SBRs were registered pre ban. ALL SBRs, so a good portion of those are going to be actually stocked rifles not braces with an sbr stamp.

10 million is a lot dude.

The 1st Amendment doesn't say anything about computers and telephones, either.

LOL no. Not at all. Those are now all illegal SBRs. 40 mil - 250k. Each one is a felony by itself. Own more than one? Felony per.

    Literally all braces are covered.

You realize these pistol variants are also available in pistol calibers right?
Additionally: Ever hear about a flash suppressor? Ear protection? An actual suppressor?

How does a "press" work with no ink?

There are 40 million of them at a conservative estimate.
    You named 3 used wrongfully.
3/40mil. Not a great ratio there.

Freedom of the press refers to the '4th estate' IE journalists.
The right to publish news. For safety, you can have it "pressed" into metal sheets. Paper and ink is awfully dangerous, don't you know? So says the executive department of ink and paper. They'll shoot your dog.

    See how that works?

You realize most modern arms won't function without a magazine?

Its an antique firearm that's particularly exempted from the NFA rules actually. Original C96's, Artillery Lugars, Browning Hi Power's, and the like, which came with a stock and still have it are grandfathered in. So even after this rule that's not an issue.

The AR pistols had a letter from the BATFE initially giving them the same status. This new rule rolls that back, requires them all be registered or you're a felon.

WTF? That is peak aesthetic. Integrated holster stock, ergonomic grip and controls. Hell, its even got an internal magazine and tops off at 10, just like you grabbers prefer.

One of my friends has an Ak pistol.

He took a wood burner and burned "pew pew" into the wooden foregrip. I wonder what the ATF would think of that dangerous modification? Lol.

Where do they think they can get the authority to just make up a rule and declare that it's now law?

You know that's an automatic broom handle Mauser right? I would think the shoulder stock contributes to it's controllability in a much improved manner over the stock broom handle pistol grip

It looks ridiculous, but if you like it, then go buy one. I am not for grabbing anyone's guns, and as for the topic, I am more than fine with overturning the brace bans.

Sure Ma'am. Clint Eastwood had one in a spaghetti Western from the 1960s

Expression is pretty all encompassing. They also had paper and ink when it was signed.

Neither of these are true with the second amendment and firearm accessories.

I would ask if you see how silly that sounds but you obviously don’t.

Honestly. I dont have a dog in the hunt for the “brace” ban except to say I don’t understand how that helps anything in the gun debate. Honestly I think its dumb, but dont really care either way. I do have a dog in the hunt for the “guns are untouchable” crowd

    Correct it doesn’t.
I agree that if the federal government decided to confiscate such devices — the 1st amendment would offer little protection. Other amendments likely would however.

    Would you agree?

Indeed — I just don’t believe the second amendment protects these devices.

That we don’t know, but the other we do, and consequently, close to twenty five people including young kids are dead

The problem with feeding that dog small scraps like the one we are discussing her, the dog will still be hungry for more. I live in Los Angeles and see the results of letting dogs gnaw away at second amendment rights. Dems will never be satisfied.

What this does do is sends a message to the Supreme Court that this rule that effects private property was not legislated for and should not be enacted. It most definitely strengthens a court case.

We do know. Common sense tells us.

Especially since the girl who shot up the school in Nashville didn't use a braced pistol as her primary weapon. She used a carbine chambered in 9mm, a pistol cartridge. It sported a 16.1" barrel.

You want something banned and you can't even be accurate (honest?) about why you want it banned.
