    Hoosier already gave you the proof - she's a CHILD. Not only is she a child, she is an autistic child who is clearly suffering from an acute anxiety disorder.

    Of course, the platform she was given at the UN is more proof that she is being used to push the political agenda of eco-socialists and their sympathizers in the media.

    The sad and reprehensible part of all this is that the people who are exploiting an autistic child who is clearly suffering from an acute anxiety disorder should be helping her instead of using her to push their political agenda, which brings us to the following question:

    Do you think it's proper and ethical for adults to use children, including those suffering from mental conditions and disorders, to fight their political battles for them, or do you think it's improper, unethical and cowardly for adults to use children, including those suffering from mental conditions and disorders, to fight their political battles for them?

    I think it's unethical, cruel, stupid, improper, to hide away children suffering from mental conditions and disorders as if they are something to be ashamed of...locking them into a stereotype of what ignorant people feel children should be.


    This child , and her MILLIONS and MILLIONS of counterparts ARE fighting THEIR battle..

    THEY will be the ones who suffer the most from the lethargy and ignorance of those who believe we all have fresh air and water and always will...

    I'll gladly attack her message. Because her message is just the same hackneyed fear-mongering we've heard a million times already. She said absolutely nothing new or interesting.

    The world is going to end! Shame on everyone who doesn't agree with me! The debate is over!

    Except in science, the thing you all claim to love so much, the debate is NEVER over. ALL scientific laws and theories are tentative and subject to future revision pending new observations. At best, even the most well established scientific theories, like evolution and general relativity, are approximations which are undergoing continual testing, reevaluation and refinement.

    By the way, if the debate is truly settled, and "man-made global warming" is basically infallible, then all research that seeks to test that hypothesis is unnecessary and a waste of money. I mean, why waste time and money testing something you already know to be true?

    You're right. There are better ways to respond to her comments. Instead of attacking her personally, people should just be pointing out the fact that she just repeated the exact same talking points that alarmists have been peddling for years. Her comments have added nothing new or interesting to the debate surrounding the human impact on climate. I think the real question here is: Why are adults putting this girl up on a soapbox just to have her repeat tired talking points when they know she will be attacked as a result?
