As I said, Biden can rescind his 64 EOs and clean up the mess he created this afternoon, but he doesn't want to clean up the mess he created and obviously neither do his fellow Open Borders Demokrats. All their talk and blame shifting is straight theatrics, and it's not fooling anyone.

Even if Johnson did craft a new bill there's no reason to believe Demokrats will pass a border security bill, so I guess this issue is going to the ballot box.

 

They are blocking the closure measure, not the bill itself, supposedly so that they can have more time to study it

The past has proven, thru Obama, Trump, and Biden, EO’s, issued or rescinded, will never solve the border issue, current Immigration law, which was written in the early 1980’s has to be changed, which this proposal does

And, as a side note, there is nothing Johnson can do to address the border, nothing he can assemble will pass the Senate unless it is bipartisan coming out of the House, which ain’t happening, which he full knows

 

Also hypocritical since the proposal is exactly what the House demanded, which we all know is Trump’s doing, and what makes it inane is that the GOP under Trump will never get the Democrats to concede the way they did with this proposal, guaranteeing the border remains a problem for the foreseeable future. Trump does not want the border ever corrected

Come next Fall the border, probably the Ukraine weakening, and China escalating threats on Taiwan will all be employed by Democrat Congressional candidates against the GOP for blowing the one chance to am,end the situation

 

And? Will they absolutely still agree 8 years from now on this one? As recently as 2020 they were still supporting the wall so….

They do have the right to be heard under the current law. Under the new proposal, there would have been three things:
1. Title-42 style authority to turn people back on the spot
2. Stop "catch and release", meaning people would either return to wait for verdict, or wait at detention camps
3. Expedite asylum and deportation process.

 

No it absolutely is accurate because what that means is that until the number reaches 5,000 the border is, for all intents and purposes, open for these illegals to come streaming through. They get a hearing which will take MONTHS until it happens and that's IF they even show back up and don't just live like illegals here.

Moreover that only applies to the illegals that they CATCH, not the thousands streaming in every day they don't catch.

And I'm not uninformed. In the contrary I'm informed enough to know that I'm not going to let you piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

 

Well, since Biden ended Trumps Remain in Mexico policy they can stay in the US. The thought of waiting 4 years in some border town in Mexico for 4 years would do wonders to discourage this mass migration from countries other than Mexico we are witnessing. Mexico would put a stop to it.

Don’t be so sure of that, every time a Congressional candidate, or even Biden, gets a question on the border the response will be we worked with them and they refused to even considered the bipartisan proposal. The House gifted the Democrats, throw in the more than likely refusal to aid our allies, and it is ready rebuttal

And Biden, just like Trump, Obama, and ever President going back to Reagan can not end the crisis at the border, all the EOs in the world won’t do it, only a reform of immigration law itself will accomplish that task and it has to come thru the Congress
