Inane, Johnson can craft any bill he wants but unless it is bipartisan, it is not going to make it thru the Senate, it would be straight theatrics. And you can pass and rescind all the EO’s you want, that is not going to solve the problem, Trump did it, and border was still an issue, it has to be via Congress

None of that is accurate, for beginners, it is not 5,000 a day, 5,000 a day means the border automatically shuts down, for up to three weeks or beyond till those applicants are processed. In addition, a President can also do the same with 4,000 a day

And that doesn’t mean the entire 5,000 gain entry, rather that it those 5,000 get a hearing to decide if they merit entry, with new regulations in the proposal, many of those will be rejected, which basically ends catch and release, which is why the Border Guard Union endorses the measure

I don't know why you think that it doesn't do anything to fix the problem. It changes the allowed criteria for a "refugee," shortens the time for the courts to say no and then deport, keeps them in "beds" so that they aren't free to roam the country for 7 years. You need to quit just accepting what the GOP is telling you and think for yourself. You aren't going to get the bill you want passed. Accept that and get something done instead of getting nothing done.

No, it is exactly what the House asked for three months ago

 

Well the Constitution says they can't block this flood but there is a clause somewhere in there that says it's ok to block 2000 as long as 5000 are let in. Oh, and as long as we continue to finance the war in Ukraine that is also about border violations.

 

Hate to tell you America sees who the issue and it is damn sure isn't Trump, although I can't stand him either. There was NO Reason to reverse Trump's 94 immigration executive orders starting with remain in Mexico on day 1 and continuing through his first 100 days. The border immediately exploded, and we've been letting in millions annually since.
