If Johnson and House Rs kill this bill, it gives Biden and Dems an opportunity to blame them for the border.

Dems trying to improve the border situation but Rs saying “NO!”

 

Current law is being followed, that is the problem, the current immigration law is antiquated, desperately needs to be reformed, which this proposal does for the first one in four decades

And the “bill” they pass last year wasn’t a real attempt, if left the House on strict party lines and even the GOP in the Senate said it had zero chance of passing

And now when the bipartisan proposal arrives they condemned it even before they read it, they aren’t even requesting changes added as it works its way thru the Senate

They were going to condemn this proposal no matter what recommended, and no one has to explain why

Real immigration shuts the border down, opens up additional visas, uses all the crazy money spent on illegals to support technology to help lower the new visa processing time. This country has lost its freaking mind. I have a friend that is a foreign professional tennis player with his masters from a major university. He left the country to play in a tournament, attempted to come back last week and got taken into custody and shipped back due to a visa issue. Now he's having to fight a 5-year ban from entering the US, all the while a freaking thousands of 20 year old men with no passport, no visa no anything is walking across the border and getting shipped to cities of their choice. Unbelievable how stupid the left has taken this country.

Your post shows you lack an understanding of current immigration law, understandable, apparently few on the right do, but according to active immigration law, which is the problem, anyone crossing the border, legal or illegally, can request refugee status. From there they are guaranteed under the law to get their moment infront of a Judge, which could take up to four years.

The problem is current immigration law, which this proposal addresses, to say just reject it is to admit you want the border to be a problem

I agree with Mike Johnson - it's worse than I expected, much worse - and I'm glad he declared it DOA.

Since this bill wasn't going to solve the crisis Biden and Open Borders Demokrats orchestrated, Johnson might as well craft a new bill and bring that to the floor. In the meantime, Biden can rescind the 64 EOs responsible for the mess he created, but we all know that he won't. This is what he wanted.

The 5000 a day number is so that the courts don't get overwhelmed. If the law was signed, it would stop the current 7000 a day right now. The Republicans would rather have 7000 a day by doing nothing than to limit it to 5k.

They simply don't want to pi$$ off Trump and Russia. They are putting politics ahead of the good of the country. This is what I expect from Dems and it's sad that the GOP playing this stupid game.

Of course, the sexual abuser facing 91 felony indictments doesn't want Republicans and Democrats in Congress to enact bipartisan legislation to improve border security that the President would sign. That would serve the nation, but not the Loser's selfish agenda.

While STILL allowing in 5,000 a day. We are going to extend more visas for the illegals already here and create 50,000 more beds for these criminals?

Biden and the Dems want this because they know they're getting their butts pounded at the polls. So if they can pass this, it makes them appear as if they're actually doing something so they have cover for the election, when the ONLY real benefit from this plan is reducing the average flow of illegals from 7,000 a day to 5,000.

Which does NOTHING to fix the problem. All it does is reduce the number slightly and provide cover for the democrats going into an election.

Please tell me why would agree to that for a 28% decrease in illegals which the democrats are going to COMPLETELY undermine once they get past the election.
