You haven't shown my original statement was wrong. You "responded" to my statement about federal law by deflecting to state law. One thing we can agree on, the research here was very much "minimal"

 

Care is already expected to be provided, ethically and legally, in the situation that this law worries about. But keep in mind born alive doesn't mean it has hope for survival. The most compassionate thing for a being with no hope of survival is comfort care. But even that is too much if we're talking about before the point a mind could exist. So the net effect of this is basically to mandate futile care. Republicans do have a track record of trying to mandate futile care because they get confused on what a person is (not just abortion, but also those with brain death). They think a beating heart is proof of a person. It's not.

I showed that to be false since states are letting them die and thus the democrats are voting to allow that to continue. It's really pretty simple.
