Even factoring in blacks, who are a minority population, does not drive the democrat count over 10%. Still , most repubs are the bigger group.

    Sorry.

    You wrote:

I don't have allegiance to any party; I think for myself, which you seemingly aren't able to do.

I can see now that you are not trying to imply that only independents can think for themselves, but when you say "I don't have any allegiance to an party" and then follow it with 'I think for myself', it is not unreasonable to draw the inference you are saying that is 'why' you are independent, that you couldn't have 'thought for yourself' if you were a party member. Okay, you weren't implying it, but it is not unreasonable to draw the inference, given the statement as written.

Now, surely, your defense is going to be "well, I followed it with 'which you seemingly aren't able to do' ".

Fine, but that doesn't actually quell the implication of the prior clause, the way it's written. That being said, let's just say your statement could have been articulated better.

I agree my sentence might leave some room for the interpretation that I was potentially implying what you understood.

You're quite funny! Young people have only recently been allowed to get vaccinated.

    Yes, and so what?
You're going to claim 600,000+ Americans haven't died from covid?
A conspiratorial and utterly absurd claim.
Followed by a second absurd claim.

I agree, but it still makes a valid point. The main factor in Covid death/hospitalization is existing illness. Americans are fatter than ever and obesity and a poor diet/lifestyle lead to most of these illnesses. Politicians claim to have a high level of concern for our health and are quick to impose mandates and shutdowns, but if there was any talk about reducing subsidies for unhealthy products, food giants would have their lobbyists remind politicians who they really work for.

The main factor now is whether or not you're vaccinated. Maybe pols should require folks get vaccinated before they venture to places with faces--schools, restaurants, bars, clubs, concerts, transit, planes, trains, sporting events, etc.

At this juncture, the old familiar quote comes to mind:

“I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU THINK I SAID, BUT I AM NOT SURE THAT YOU REALIZE THAT WHAT YOU HEARD IS NOT WHAT I MEANT.” ---Alan Greenspan (or Robert McCloskey, not sure which ).

Yeah, @21Bronco is perpetrating a fraud.

So who’s been vaccinated in the United States? And who hasn’t?

Well, our most recent NBC News poll sheds some light on those question, with the survey finding that 69 percent of all adults say they’ve already been vaccinated, versus 13 percent saying they won’t get vaccinated under any circumstance.

And here are the American adults who say they’ve already been vaccinated — broken down by demographic group:

    • All adults: 69 percent
    • Men: 67 percent
    • Women: 71 percent
    • 18-34: 63 percent
    • 35-49: 58 percent
    • 50-64: 71 percent
    • 65+: 86 percent
    • Whites: 66 percent
    • Blacks: 76 percent
    • Latinos: 71 percent
    • Urban residents: 79 percent
    • Suburban residents: 67 percent
    • Rural residents: 52 percent
    • White evangelicals: 59 percent
    • Democrats: 88 percent
    • Independents: 60 percent
    • Republicans: 55 percent
    • Republicans who support Trump more than party: 46 percent
    • Republicans who support party more than Trump: 62 percent
    • Democratic Sanders-Warren voters: 88 percent
    • Democratic Biden voters: 87 percent
    • Biden voters in 2020 general election: 91 percent
    • Trump voters in 2020 general election: 50 percent
    • White non-college grads: 60 percent
    • White college grads: 80 percent

You are far from correct. The risk factors before the vaccine was available show otherwise.

So, you think it's coincidence 90+% of those hospitalized aren't fully vaccinated?

Really? So the 77% of young blacks in NYC are suddenly Republican? Laughable.

Pardon me if, of the two questionable sets of data, I choose the CDC data, such as it is, over a poll.

Not sure what you're talking about with the "fraud" accusation.
