Yes, you chose to “miss” the oft repeated point that the United States as a nation does not make direct loans.

You still haven't explained why they are total nonsense, so you are not convincing.
If you sent the money stating it is a no interest forever loan, that's pretty much indistinguishable from a gift and the difference is mostly rhetorical.
What is the harm you see in doing it? I've stated two potential concerns above. Care to add to them?

So the constant drive to make Trump's accomplishments look like utter incompetence is what confuses you.. and what does a fifth grade education tell you?

What made you think this was a policy without selective purpose? I saw nothing that would say it voided our ability to make it serve our own goals. Not like the border policy of the current administrations, where a blind eye allows anybody to give us the finger and laugh at us as they walk in.

The greatest help to those in need is to help them regain dignity and self-determination. I see the way we give out money to our needy, and often we aren't helping people get back on their feet- we are enabling them to stay down and become totally dependent. This story has a lot to do with the end result of aid, and that same effect on an international scale.

Our government is made up by such a collection of corrupt clowns that they'd probably get gulled into "loaning" untold billions with CHERNOBYL as the 'collateral'. Then when the inevitable default on this loan occurs, we'd get to have Chernobyl and the bills for all the billions more it'll take to keep it from polluting all of Eastern Europe for 10,000 years! Who could pass up a deal like that?! :xd:

I agree that you are confused. Biden has you snow-blinded, no reason to think you could see Trump clearly.

I would like to point out the ad hominem here that should be obvious when attacking Trump instead of his suggestion, in dismissing his suggestion. Tribalism never ceases to amaze.

    I explained it several times.

The United States does not make direct loans for sovereign nations. No country does.

These transactions may be underwritten by nations, but are normally carried out by investment banks and global financial institutions.

Trump, after four years, apparantly still doesn’t know that.

Indeed, his comments reflect that he still views the world through the lens of a sleazy dishonest real estate developer.

And his notion that anyone thinking about “attacking the US” would be restrained by the fact that the US might accelerate the loan is so totally stupid as to be absolutely laughable.

I see your beloved fuhrer very very cleary.

I knew everything I needed to know aobut his in 1983.

I didn’t need to be “snow blinded” by anyone, and certainly not the MSM (which is the place the right wing apoligists for Trump ususally charge next).

No, it was the daily display of incompetence.

The list of “accomplishments” is very short indeed.

That is a claim/statement of what is and what has been the standard practice. It is not an explanation of why it would be a bad idea to do as Trump suggests instead.

So you are saying you didn't need help getting snow-blinded, and got there by yourself? That's impressive.

A country that hates itself and wants to commit suicide would, yes. But if that's the case then loans or give aways, it won't matter.

Yep! Sounds like the one essential ingredient for this tragedy to occur is for America to go right on being blissfully ignorant and endlessly STOOPID. John F. Kennedy would not have gotten us into a mess like this, and neither would Ronald Reagan! But look at the kind of crap we have as the 'front-runners' for our presidency in 2024.... :lonely:

It’s just Trumpian BS. Aimed that the low information crowd and the isolationists. IT’s nothing more than a political gimmick. Another piece of Trump cofeve that will be forgotten in a day or two.

So, I’m not going to waste my time explaining something so obviously stupid.

Of course we all know why...Trump.

It's five pages in so this might be a fun time to reveal this, but Biden had a lend lease program with Ukraine! It was a smaller scale and has already expired, but the past two days I've thought if I had started this thread with Biden's Lend lease, I wonder how the conversation would have gone.
