It does if the love for the country one lives is not properly defined. If the reason one loves his coumtry is juat because one happened to be born there and because it has cool monuments or other such superficiliaties, one is very prone to become a nationalist.

As far as I am concerned, the only country that is worthy of patriitism is America.

Fascism was indeed a very nationalistic ideology. But, although Trump is a Nationalist, he certainly is not Hitler and all of thise who umironically made that claim are not worthy of anyone's time because clearly they are nutjobs.

Nationalism means strong borders and that your primary duty and obligation is to serve those who live within the same borders as you. Often this also comes with the idea that you have to breed to ensure the nation survives and it goes without saying that your kids and marriage must be ethnically pure to ensure the nation and its people survives.

"Nationalists respect all nations equally - Poland should be Polish and Greece should be Greek." is a very popular thing for Nationalists to say or the phrase that the new and rising American kind prefers to use; "Murika furst".

There is absolutely no reason to cuddle with term or try to wash it clean.

the GOP is divided...10 republicans voted to impeach trump

the oldest play in the book is to divide and conquer

the GOP divided themselves and allowed the democrats to conquer

Actually the MAGA crowd is very united as is most Republicans. The election was anti Trump but not anti Republican as we won many house seats. We did mess up the runoff races but the Senate is still tied. Nobody has won it yet thus why Kamala is the tie vote.

Historically the sitting party loses in the midterms and we only lost the house which we will win back in the next midterms.

I said we are at the strongest we have ever been because we added 10 million new voters to our party. We also have over 300 people running again for the house including a record number of veterans and minority people. If anything losing the presidential election has made us stronger and the Democrats weaker.

Biden is losing voters over the border crisis and with Trump gone he won't have the anti Trump vote in the midterms which historically he should lose anyways. Biden called the 2010 midterms a "shellacking".

You should be very worried because the Republicans are no longer in defense mode. Now they are going on the offense.

 

My money is that by 2024 T**** will be bankrupt and living off his PAC money. Also, he'll probably have criminal charges filed against him and he'll be on his rented yacht outside US territorial waters living large. Golf isn't everything. The big question is will the sane middle of the road Republicans join with middle of the road Democrats and form a new party? That would make 2028 really interesting as by then they'll be the largest party but not a majority. I think 2024 for them would be premature to win massively, perhaps though in the house.
