Actually, the real problem would be that the saltwater fish would die from the lowered salinity from all the rain water.

It's part of the fundamentalist mind-set. On the more benign end, it's what Stephen Colbert called "truthiness" among the political Right who will ignore facts even reality for what they "believe to be true, ergo it's true."....

at its more pejorative end....it's the reason for every oppression, religious and secular, from the pogroms against Jews, to the Spanish Inquisition, to the Holodomor, to the Holocaust, to the Taliban and ISIS today.

And remember, the Flood lasted for a YEAR (plus 10 days)...not just the 40 days and 40 nights of the flooding itself....so salinity factors wouldn't have been "temporary". A shark might survive a few days even a week in fresh water....but not for a year. Other species would die off immediately, even though quite obviously they exist today.

But keep in mind the Young Earth Creationists excel in making up excuses to keep the myth as "historical fact".....even to altering basic physics or even basic logic.

No that's not correct, saying we are more advanced is egocentric, we are no more advanced than any other creature on the planet, they are all our evolutionary contemporaries...we have different attributes but that doesn't make us more advanced...we are not older than gorillas, evolutionary time scale their line split off the family tree before sapiens and chimp separated....but when that split occured is also irrelevant as in the end we're exactly at the same evolutionary point in time...

They have all been found hoaxes or misclassification. You need to keep current.

No, they haven't "all" been found to be hoaxes or misclassifications, except on Creationist websites.

Same websites that imagine God is trying to "trick" us by changing the speed of light in 4000 BC. :)

A valid assumption but one easily overcome using your side of the issue. Since the oceans salinity increases over time, the water was less saline long ago. Some fish can live in the ocean and spawn in fresh water.

See how easy that was to think outside of the propaganda you were fed?

But OTHER saltwater fish DIE when left in fresh water....just as freshwater fish DIE when left too long in salt water.

How do you explain those away? But it wasn't that "some" fish survived the Flood according to the story and current marine biology.....ALL of the current species did. Including species who would die after a year in freshwater.

Like what? Like the Dead Sea or the Persian Gulf??? Shallow seas in hot climates evaporate and increase salinity.

If folks were able to explain their position with even 1% of the effort they spend ripping apart perfectly explainable 'gotchas' I guess they would do that instead. But maybe not, since it is so much easier to tear down their opponent that to defend their position. Of course that would require reading, a seemingly lost skill with today's youth, and researching beyond the doctrine they had been brainwashed k-12 and some with another 2 years or more of publik edumakashon.

Neo-Darwinism is the religion of death and is for those not able to think for themselves. Thjre is so much science has learned in the past decade that destroys evolution, yet they continue to believe with a blind-faith. Maybe it is time for them to realize they have no defense for their religious beliefs and to seek the Truth.

Quite the opposite.. Science continues to prove the theory of evolution.

What the HELL is wrong with you??

This post of yours I have quoted is a PURPOSEFUL AND DELIBERATE FALSEHOOD!!!

Either post a VIABLE SOURCE that PROVES they are all hoaxes or....RETRACT YOUR POSTED STATEMENT!!

I and I am sure many others are getting sick and tired of a member posting their OPINION OR BELIEF AND CALLING IT A FACT!!!

Not only are you calling your deliberate stated falsehood a fact...even WORSE....you are calling other members factual statements FALSE.

    MODS....TAKE NOTICE!!!

    This is getting sickening!!

NO scientific evidence has ever been presented that confirms the fairy tale of evolution.
NO scientific discovery has ever shown macroevolution in action.
NO scientific evidence has ever been tested to verify the gospel of Darwin.
NO fossil has ever been found with a date stamp on it.
NO missing link for any kind of animal has ever been found.
NO scientific discovery has ever been observed that would elevate the big bang, everything into nothing, to the level of a scientific theory.
NO scientific experiment has ever shown life from non life.

Hybridization/ cross breeding/ breeding in isolation/ variation of animal kinds/ dog from a dog/ cow from a cow are not proof for evolution, but all produce after their own kind. Almost all interfertile animals are of the same animal kind (animal Kind is roughly equivalent to the modern classification of Family).

Typing in all caps, stomping your feet or results from a poll do not prove evidence of sound science.

Posting such silliness is futile, like throwing a bucket of slops overboard into the wind. The rest of us are upwind of you.

More like trying to nail primordial ooze to a tree.

I don't suppose you can provide any of the evidence I requested in that post?

You can lead a creationist to evidence, but you can't make him think.

But you never "explain" any question you can't answer ...and thus call it a "gotcha question."

    Yeah,...
The Big Bang really supplied the first shocker that Genesis had long been correct, although science had been certain that the Universe had always been there.
The we discovered that the earth was only 4.5 billion years old, and had been without form, a mere spinning disk of rocks around the Sun until it had later taken a spherical shape.

These fundies need see the light.

Dave, NB is a Young Earth Creationist who believes that not just Man, or Life, or the Earth...but the entire Universe was created in 4000 BC.

Love to see you debate him on your "The 3rd Day of Creation was 500,000,000 years long and the 4th Day of Creation was 35,000,000 years long" Theory.

It is all fantasy from someone's imagination, not based in fact. Let's stick with science.

Well this older generation will never change their minds.

But I do like to get them thinking about how Genesis is a science story told about seven long "days," measured and timed out on the Geological Clock.
And, I always point out that the Solar Clock was not even mentioned until the fourth Era of time, in Genesis 1:14.
