You think Moses remember that?

 

When we read Genesis we must assume what we think the writer is saying.
Then, comparing to things we know, we decide if it makes sense.

Since the earth was with out form, and that was the case 4.5 million years ago, we can assume the writer is speaking of the facts.

 

Of course not.
The whole story of Genesis which included evolution, and the item by item description of the Earth as it was taking form and becoming a sphere, that the light did not initially appear with the Big Bang, that a Pangea type situation occurred when all the waters under heaven came together into one place, etc, on and on is divine revelation to Moses.
I am certain that Moses did not know what was being said as well as we do.

 

You are assuming 4.5 million years. What is not honestly in dispute is the language and terminology used in Genesis Chapters 1-7.

Do you honestly believe that folks like Moses were not a wise or as intelligent as we are today?

 

So you think the burning bush told him and he wrote it down 800 years later? Genesis and Exodus were written after Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

 

Moses was schooled as if he were a Oharaoh.'He was as smart as possible.
But he did not know stuff.

And he would have been to smart to explain stuff any differently, if he did.
But that is not the issue here.
The issue is whether the Bible says what you tell us, as you have learned from h[generations long past, or if t means what compare directly with Science.

What I see is that you are dividing the interpretation of Genesis into non-science supported ideas and separating the educated people for believing the story as you tell it.
Why?

Why do you try to sell this story whether you believe it or not, when it doesn't sell to newbies?
