In other words, you speak more or less fluently 3 languages. Albanian, which is your mother tongue, English and Serbo-Croatian, which in Ex YU was mandatory to you. Am I mistaking?

Basically yes. I am just saying it is not a strange thing for Bosnians from Yugoslavia to speak Albanian as it was(is) a minority language.

On the contrary, it is extremely unusual for any non-Albanian from Ex YU to speak Albanian but the ones who has some blood ties with you guys, or has been exposed to your language, like all people from Kosovo and Metohija.

Now, all people, citizens of Ex YU has been thought Serbo-Croatian for a couple of reasons.
1/ It has been language majority of Yugoslavs considered to be their mother tongue (all differences between two, trow in a new official lang- Bosnian and make it three, are of a political nature, not linguistic).
2/ In essence Serbo-Croatian is very similar to Slovenian while Slovenes can't understand a single word in Macedonian.

Serbo-Croatian lessons in Slovenia were given for one year in elementary school, twice per week and one year in grammar school.
Slovenes and Macedonians in Ex YU communicated in Serbo-Croatian but new generations substituted it with English.

Slovenian have similarities with Croatian-Serbian but they use german-austrian loan words in their language while the macedonians speak a bulgarian type dialect left over from simeons rule during the byzantine wars with bulgaria.

    Russian aid arrives in Jarinje

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - A Russian convoy carrying humanitarian aid for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija arrived at the Jarinje administrative crossing at about 10.30 on Tuesday.

The Serbs temporarily removed the barricade in the interzone on the main road from Raska to Lesak, several thousand meters from the Jarinje crossing.

The gravel barricades were removed from other roads as well, and obstacles were prepared which can swiftly be dismantled.

The Jarinje crossing, which had earlier been secured by German KFOR members, is being secured by American soldiers controlling the safety of the Russian trucks passing.

KFOR patrols have been set on several locations along the Jarinje-Kosovska Mitrovica road.

The column of 25 Russian trucks is headed by several passenger vehicles with their rotation lights on, including diplomatic vehicles.

The humanitarian aid will be delivered to the Red Cross of Kosovo-Metohija in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, and the official delivery ceremony will be attended by Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Konuzin.

This is not the first time Russia is providing humanitarian aid for Kosovo. A similar convoy was sent after the March Pogrom in 2004.

2 of the 25 trucks rolled into the province, the third has been put on hold at the cargo terminal, while the rest of the convoy is waiting on the Serbian side.
The customs clearance of the goods that Kosovo Serbs need badly was suddenly halted on orders from the chiefs of the EU mission in Kosovo, with no reasons cited.
The Russian Ambassador in Serbia, Alexander Konuzin, feels that the order is politically motivated.
The Russian leadership will raise the issue of the convoy plight during the forthcoming Russia-EU summit in Brussels.

Who is in control in Kosovo now? The Serbs were kicked out by NATO right? Do Serbs hate Americans because of the Kosovo war? What happened to the KLA? Do they run Kosovo now?

hello, i will try to answer some of your questions

that's simple , in control is Albanian mafia drug traffickers mostly
According to Interpol 40% of all heroin in Europe comes from Kosovo

    See:

    ''Albanian gangs running Kosovo''
    http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=11488

''Kosovo drug mafia supply heroin to Europe''
    http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/regional/KLA1.html

State Department: Kosovo is heroin transit route
    http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=03&dd=04&nav_id=73048

just Google Albanian Mafia Kosovo and you will find many reports about this

The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ( Serbia and Montenegro ) had agreement with NATO ( i forgot the name something Resolution 2441 ) to withdraw army
and Police and to let NATO take control over Kosovo security. Also this resolution guaranteed that Kosovo will remain as part of Serbia, and even that some limited number of Army and Police could get back to control border checkpoints.

Today 12 years after war the Serb civilian population is mostly kicked out Kosovo by Albanians, the same happened with the most of non-Albanians , Gypsy , Jews etc..

    See:

    Forcing Jews out Kosovo
    ''Driven From Kosovo''

''Ethnic Cleansing of "Gypsies" from Kosovo''

"1,000 Serbs killed in Kosovo since end of war"
    http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=11&dd=11&nav_id=77289

Some 200.000 Non-Ablanians mostly Serbs are forced out Kosovo after war
''Kosovo/Serbia: Protect Minorities from Ethnic Violence''
    http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2004/03/18/kosovoserbia-protect-minorities-ethnic-violence

today about 100.000 Serbs are left in Kosovo, mostly in north Kosovo
where they are isolated from the rest of Kosovo and living in the ghettos protected by NATO, without this they would be forced to leave Kosovo like Serbs from other parts of Kosovo were.

NO, Serbs do not hate American people, most of the Serbs do not like American foreign policy as ''Worlds Police'' and they don't like some of American politicians, like: Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton , Madeleine Albright ... Those who were front runners in attacks on Serbia.

Serbs do not have negative opinion about American people

See some Americans opinions who visited or work in Serbia :

Charles Cather , American from Charleston, Illinois, working now as English teacher in Serbia

American High school teacher visiting Serbia
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzXDQoaT1pc&feature=related"]My Opinion of Serbia- A Second American Perspective - YouTube[/ame]

The most of the former KLA are now ''Politicians", former KLA terrorist leader Hashim Thaci is now Kosovo PM and head of Kosovo mafia.

    this guy
''Kosovo PM is head of human organ and arms ring, Council of Europe reports''

if you have any other questions you are free to ask.
    regards.

Actully I'm a bit surprised by that. I think it is important to know the languages of your neighbors or minority groups. Slavic languages are all similar so it is rather surprising if you don't understand each other.

Right now Albanians are sort of in control. Serb control was lost after the war. NATO pretty much keeps a lid on things in Kosovo. I think Serbs hate America for getting involved but I'm not Serbian so I really wouldn't know. A KLA leader runs Kosovo: Hashim Thaçi.
Also, and a lot of Albanians arent going to like this, but I'm not really against the Serbian barricades in Northern Kosovo. They simply don't want to be under Albanian or NATO control. Which is one of the reasons we Albanians revolted in the first place. The way I see it there are not many options for resolutions. Obviously we aren't giving Kosovo to the Serbs, as it is 90% Albanian. I think either the Serbs will have to adapt to the new government, go back to Serbia, or possibaly make it so that Kosovo is Serbian friendly i.e. Serbian schools, Serbian run districts in Kosovo that have a Serb majority. But im no political genius so why don't you all give me some feedback.

The last time Russia helped out Serbia, WWI went into action, hopefully nothing like that will result in the rising tension.
