I don't have the time at the moment to do a deep dive into something I don't put a lot of stock in to start with, but I would GUESS that after the 2020 election antics of Trump, many who would have previously favored him dropped him. From what I remember, he had a 90+% favorable rating among Republicans and that dropped like a rock in early 2021, after the election, because of his behavior. From there, some are returning to favoring him, but I seriously doubt that anyone who didn't vote for Trump in 2020 would be likely to in 2024. For the record, I'm not a big poll numbers person. They may be able to get the general view, but definitely aren't exact AND it's way too early to tell what voters will think in 2024. Also for the record, I would LOVE to see two other candidates not named Trump and Biden running in 2024.
